A great little spot that's tucked away, hidden from the Congress strip. Great authentic food (sans queso) and a surprisingly roomy back patio and stage. Looks can be decieving, indeed.

I feel like this is my second home. Of all the non-Drafthouse theaters in town, this is one of the better ones. Usually clean, never too crowded and good parking. Also, it does hurt to be able to walk to Trudy's.

The best movie theater experience on the planet. Not only does it deliver great events (Fantastic Fest) and great food (which is sometimes underrated), it also delivers the Quiet Zone. Drafthouse patrons take movie watching (and fried pickles) very seriously.

The world's greatest movie theater, hands down. As a pro moviegoer, it's always nice to find a unique experience. And the Alamo on South Lamar is the bees' knees kids.

Special Events -- go to as many as you can.

Food -- I recommend the pizza, fried pickles and the world famous $5 milkshakes.

Tips and Tricks -- Always arrive early, don't frequent Mondo tees too much (you'll spend too much damn money) and pay attention to the public service announcements. Also, the place is packed on weekends, so keep that in mind when buying tickets (always buy online).

Best breakfast tacos I've had in Austin. Beware, you will want to order two... But one is quite gargantuan enough.

The only problem is the wait -- there's always a wait. But it's worth it.

Great atmosphere, very classy yet still casual. I love any bar that has clearly been put together with a lot of thought, and this is certainly one of those types of places.

Also, as someone who loves his drinks on the sweet side, Coco Sala is the perfect bar -- everything is infused with chocolate.

One of the best selections of beer you're ever going to see in your life. Also, if you are a sucker for some well-cooked bar food (burgers, wings, etc), the Brick is an easy choice.

Also, it's cozy, neighborhood bar atmosphere is very inviting, yet also very interesting and filled with character.

As a relatively new Austinite and a former denizen of Ohio (where Chipotle is the end all, be all of burrito), I have been told on more than one occasion that I "have not lived" until I try some Freebirds.

Well friends, I've now lived. And it was glorious. This location -- the first such establishment that I visited -- is incredibly charming, the service was great and the burrito, well, I think you know where I'm going with this.

Definitely a step up -- in both atmosphere and food quality -- from Chipotle. Another great, uniquely Austin establishment.

Food was very good. Had me some enchiladas and some atmosphere.

Nice to be able to go somewhere on a Thursday night and a little live Mariachi Band action and some solid, authentic Mexican. Only downsides: the chips & chili con queso: just okay.

As well, the restaurant has a very wide open layout to it, which seems to cram the bar up against the regular dining area. I would recommend hitting this place up before or after the happy hour rush, unless you're going to join in with the happy hour crowd.

Awesome burgers, great atmosphere. They were playing Evil Dead while serving beefy goodness. A splendid establishment.

For anyone who has a shallow taste for oogling women, this place is usually full of nice-looking ladies. For me, I'm there for the food. The sweet potato fries are a must, the sandwiches are great and they've got some killer salads. And by killer, I am of course referring to the fact that if you order one, you are swiftly executed by a ninja after you've finished eating. This place is hardcore.

All seriousness aside though, the food is great and the atmosphere is very relaxed and clean. It is a weekly stop for yours truly. Also, I'm told that they have great breakfast food. Looking forward to hitting that up.
