fantastic pizza with great crurst - neapolitan, especially when asked for 'well done' + fresh ingredients.

only opportunity is that they could put more toppings on :) especially the perfectly seasoned housemade organic sausage that has the perfect amount of fennel. like other reviews, the white "bloomsdale" spinach was a must try. very unique in flavor and in texture, and really worked!

while i did like the 'cracker' (thin sin) crust, i do like a bit of chew so preferred the original crust well done.

I'm going to ignore the service of the 'hostess' that night and attribute it to a moment of being not too bright so note this 5 star review for the food alone.

my family can eat a bit, so we easily finished a pepperoni, a sausage, a bloomsdale, and thin sin shaved mushroom easily :)

PS - loved the decor of this place with the high tables, use of wood, and concrete. good wine & cocktail list (magarita was well made) - though i would reco skipping the sangria.

(5 star review based on garlic knots)
WHICH ARE AMAZING. i'm not usually a melted butter type of person, but they've done something amazing between the garlic and melted butter mix that's irresistible. plus, the dough used for the knots themselves are delicious - with just the perfect amount of 'dough' freshness coming out. just remember to KEEP the leftover "sauce" as it's great with the crust of the pizza.

pizza = 4 stars
pizza here is one of the best in cincinnati, in addition to flying pizza. it's 'new jersey' style (not sure exactly what that is), but it's a really good 'thin' crust pizza. i generally always get the crust 'well done' to ensure no sogginess. in terms of toppings i get the sausage is great (tastes homemade but i'm not 100%) and mushroom.

being a fan of cold pizza, apontes pizza also holds up really great for the next couple of days, and the crust (which don't eat cold) toasts up well.

now i'm craving aponte's...

so glad we drove through the 'not as nice' neighborhood to get here - which is on the corner of a cute antiquing street - early saturday morning for breakfast.

loved the vibe of this place including the music, eclectic decor, and slang cards (used in a very unique way!). and the menu! only negative was that everything looked delicious and it was too hard to make a decision!

finally decided to try the breakfast burrito which was very good, but the real star of the breakfast item at the table was the quiche special of the day. i believe it was swiss chard, tomato, swiss and bacon - all in a fluffy but custardy egg filling, on a crispy crust - fantastic!

i will have to say though that while i looked forward to the scone from the baked goods display, i wasn't quite happy enough with it. wish i tried the blondie instead :)

this place is worth repeat visits, and especially if you want a relaxing morning :)

must try in St. Louis. delicious and a different textural experience from ice cream or gelato.

as per previous reviews - also highly impressed with the efficiency of the place!

cardinal sin - hot fudge & tart cherries was quite tasty, but make sure you order it as a sundae vs. a concrete (becomes more like chocolate custard instead).

i think the concretes work best with non 'mixable' toppings so you get the true vanilla custard experience.

can't wait

Came here with the family and sneakily sat at 2 different tables so we could use the $50 coupon from http://restaurants.com. nothing to be ashamed of there :)

We all ordered the $65 prix fixe menu, and of course - at my table with the dad, we ordered a tasty bottle of grenache from alta maria vineyards. this was recommended by the very helpful & knowledgeable the sommelier. at a place like this - asking for a reco is the way to go :) the cool wine tablet menu was cool - but talking to a person was much nicer. she gave several options in our price range based on our descriptors of what we liked and what we were planning to order - fantastic job, thanks allison!

I had pre read some yelp reviews and heard that the halibut was only so so, so the entree choice was easy. for the first course, my dad and i ordered one of each. i really liked both, but if you don't like cold soup - opt for the salad!

the hanger steak was amazing. i'm not usually a fan of sauces or seasoning on my steak, but this steak's flavors were really perfect - spicy & rich, but not heavy - it complemented the steaks natural flavors really well. add a sip of the grenache which was spicy with a touch of sweetness and it was a 'remy' moment. i can still taste it and i had it over 6 months ago...

for desserts - our server pretty much made it clear that the banana fosters tiramisu was the way to go, and it WAS. my dad ate the dessert in a blink, and started to eye mine!

All in all, was totally worth the experience & the $200+ bill after, but i had to dock a point off for the fact that the halibut and dark spearmint dessert (characterized as a big andes bar by sister who was at the other table) were only ok. for me - a restaurant of this caliber should have ALL excellent choices on a prix fix, and it was pretty obvious that wasn't the case.

PS - bread selections were also amazing! and yes - the wine tower was amazing as well (but there are already plenty of posts on that!)

Got a eReach deal and considering this place is so close to work, thought it would be worth a try. Went the other night on a cold rainy night, and sadly - there were no other diners :( But - the news gets better!

I was pleasantly surprised with Azad. They have an extensive menu of your standard north indian dishes, but the best part is that they also have a south indian menu! hadn't had dosa in a long time, so was excited.

granted my expectations weren't high, i was actually really happy with the food. everything was cooked fresh and that really makes the big difference. ordered the plain dosa - which comes with coconut chutney and sambar. dosa could have been a little bit more crisp, but the coconut chutney was delicious and i even liked the sambar! (which i'm usually only ok with). For entrees, both the malai kofta and chicken mutter were very good. Creamy (and likely fattening) yes, but not in the heavy greasy way that often restaurants prepare. everything was nicely spiced and flavorful.

will definitely be coming back, and honestly - would probably rather come here than any in the ambar group. they also lunch buffets daily so i'll have to try that as well. i just hope they stay in business so please go try it!

Love love love this place. Although the menu is in Spanish, even knowing the most basic terms should get you by. This place is a must visit if you are ever in Orlando, even if you've never had Latin foods before.

Between the empanadas, arepas, tamal, pandebono, and a whole glass case filled with pastries and cakes - there's plenty worth trying or repeat eats. Literally everything was good plus extremely reasonable prices.

Standouts: the choclo con queso arepa, pandebono, and the dulce de leche covered Napoleon cake thing.

If you're not sure what to order, just point in the case or ask someone for help. Everyone was very nice and patient to help!

Word of caution, the place was continually packed but it is totally worth the wait!

So yummy and fantastic service. Will totally pit stop here for dinner if I'm in Orlando again. It may be a hole in the wall in a strip mall, but the food was awesome!

Would highly recommend ordering the appetizer sampler platter but get the small size to ensure you save room for the rest! Everything on the plate was delish, but definitely filling and most of the choices were fried (eg croquettas, tostones, fried pork, etc), bite size samplers are really enough.

Was reco'd "Camaguey" which is a combo dish of the grilled skirt steak, chicken, and porkchop platter so two of us meat eating gals shared that with yellow rice and frijoles Negroes served separately. More than enough for 2 as we were full from the appies. The meat was all perfectly moist and juicy with amazing flavor, the skirt steak nicely seared - but the chicken was the surprising outstanding favorite (and that's saying a lot from me who chicken ranks pretty low on my list of meats). So good and wished I could have saved the leftovers!

Last but not least, the coconut flan is as good as every other review claims and again a must try and/or for repeat visits!

on a price note - for the food and yumminess, plan to spend around $15-20 (which should get you more than enough food plus something alcoholic to enjoy with it =p)

fantastic gelato so the only downside is that it's cash only.

had the mango and mint chocolate, and if i wasn't so full from keste's, probably would have gotten a much larger portion. there were so many flavors to choose from! plus, they have fresh made waffle cones.

must return for more!
