A Taste of Thai Cuisine

Being new to the area, I was looking for a great Thai meal to share with visiting family. A co-worker of mine suggested Thai Thai II. That is what I was looking for, and what I thought I had stumbled across here. It's not Thai Thai II, but no regrets because this place was phenomenal!
Firstly, there is a certain fear that I have about walking into a restaurant 20 minutes before closing time with a large group. (8 of us) The staff of the restaurant actually perked up when we walked in instead of rolling their eyes. We stayed about 30 minutes past closing and were not rushed off in any way. They were extremely friendly.
Oh yeah, and then there's the food. Wonderfully flavorful Thai dishes and Sushi, with great presentation. The rice that accompanied my curried dish was shaped like a heart. It makes me want to cry.

We had to wait 7 whole minutes in the parking lot for a Taste of India to open their doors following their after lunch closure. But, it was worth every minute.
As soon as we entered, Indian music starting pumping through the restaurant's stereo system. It was nice, loud, good bass, mids, and highs. My family and I couldn't help but bust out a few dance moves right there at the table.
After a round of Mango Lassi's, (holy crap) we were all ready to eat. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, was delicious. The Saag. The freaking Saag. Unbelievable amounts of delicious Lamb Saag, bursting with flavor. The Garlic Naan was soaked in Garlic and butter, so you know it's healthy.
I would go back in a heartbeat.

I don't hate this mall. Is that OK? It's really not that terrible. Granted, I have lived amidst the most awful malls in the country for the past 5 years, and now, this is the closest mall to my home.
It's been around for awhile, at least since the 1970's. But, it looks to have kept with the times. Things that stick out: Dick's Sporting Goods, and a pet shop. Yes, a pet shop. It's not often that you're walking through a mall and begin smelling pet feces. But, you can do that here..

Niki's Rainbow Restaurant

Greek/American Restaurant along A1A that has a generic American diner feel to it. Delicious food in a friendly atmosphere with pretty decent prices. I had the Combo Platter, which comes with a sampler of Gyro meat, Dolmades, Salad, and a few other things which I can't remember for $10.50. It was really delicious. Definitely wouldn't mind coming back here again.

Bonefish Willy's Riverfront Grille

This place hit the spot for my wife and I, who were craving seafood and had a babysitter. Do NOT sit inside, even if there is a tornado warning, go outside. It's much better.
Bonefish WIlly's has an extensive seafood menu that includes Cobia, Snook, Mahi-Mahi, as well as all of your other favorites. I tried Cobia for the first time, what an amazing texture and so delicious.
Complimentary garlic bread served to our table was absolutely drenched in butter and oil. I almost died twice while eating it.
Couple that bread with their overly buttered sweet potatoes and you can potentially consume 9 days of calories at once if you're into that kind of thing.

I locked my 17-month old daughter in the car tonight. Well, actually she locked herself in, using the remote. There were a lot of circumstantial events that led up to the lock in, with both sets of keys inside. But, the bottom line is, I am a bad parent.
Anyway, thank goodness it was in the cool of the evening & inside of our garage. I tried to get her to press the unlock button on the remote, but she just laughed and kept pressing the lock button so that the horn would sound. After a few minutes, she threw the keys down in frustration.
Enter Pop-A-Lock! The dispatcher assures me to stay calm while a locksmith leaves the Palm Bay area. He arrives within 20-25 minutes and unlocks the door within another 35 seconds! Now here's the icing on the cake: Pop-A-Lock does not charge for emergency lock outs. It was 100% free. I will be forever grateful. Thanks Pops.

Walk into the Ron Jon Surf Shop in Cocoa Beach and you just might find yourself being persuaded into spending a day at their own Resort just another 5 miles north in Cape Canaveral. Oh, but there is a catch, albeit a small one. It's a time share presentation.
Sit through an hour and a half presentation, and regardless of your decision, you will be allowed a free breakfast at the resort restaurant and up to 10 passes for family members to play in the on-site water park.
My family attended the presentation, and invited me along for the water park. I found the resort to be underwhelming. It was nice, but not something that looked luxurious, or especially fun, and certainly not something that I would pay $20,000 to own a hotel room there for one week of each year. What a ripoff!
I wouldn't even care to go again for free.

Thai Thai III Restaurant & Sushi Bar

A real popular lunch spot. I've been here a couple of times and there is usually very few seats left in the dining room or the sushi bar.
3 words. Yellow Mango Curry. So delicious, with the just the right amount of spice for my weak pallet. Comes with soup of the day, a spring roll, and a hefty portion of sticky rice for just $8.95.
The only thing that keeps me from describing it as "As good as it gets" is that the service has been a bit aloof. But, with that being said, I'm still a fan.

Affordable, clean, delicious breakfast, & pet friendly.
There is no pet fee, and no fee to use the laundry facilities. Even the detergent is free! Awesome breakfast that includes eggs. EGGS!
Also, they gave me a nice 35% military discount.

Don't get me wrong, I love the life-like animatronics, thunderstorms every 22 minutes, the themed bathrooms, the fish tanks everywhere, and the fact that my server calls herself a "safari guide." It's kitschy and fun. I think the two drawbacks here are value and crowds.
The food is actually not bad. It's your typical American fare, and quite tasty. But, a typical Chili's like burger and fries for $14.99 is about $7 overpriced. Multiply that by a family of four, add in a $15 dessert, and you've spent WAY too much when you could have walked around the restaurant for free.
And my goodness, they have no shame about cramming you into a table within inches of complete strangers. It's not like you would be looking for peace and quiet here anyway.
