Good:: Fresh tasting ingredients, even the dough has a distinct good flavor.
Highlights:: A happy, easy going staff and happy easy going customers, in combination with the food and decor had a real italian feel.
Little snags: : I'm a thin crust fan. I both liked and didn't like the thin crust, yet still soft combo. This pizza is more European style, so if your lookin' for tons of cheese it might not be your bag, but it is mine. Pizza this way can be healthy.
All in all an upbeat casual atmosphere of a family business, complimented the tasty European style pizza.
Expect families with fresh haircuts. Hey, maybe this place will eventually get 5 stars from me.
Bottom line : This place is slightly overhyped. A good place for Dallas, but doesn't hold a candle yet to taco joints in Austin. Hopefully with all their business, they will continue to perfect their product. Good service.
The crowd: scruffy WASPY athletic types - yum.

I think a logo on the to go menu said "born in Austin and based in Dallas." That kind of sums up this admirably ambitious little place, with Austin decor of 50's vinyl chairs and aluminum siding, and a staff that was downhome, quirky and solicitious in an Austiny way.
Overbearing dressed up older woman customer and Lexus owner: "How fast can you make a taco?"
Friendly guy behind counter, smiling, "Well my personal record is 7 seconds."
Yesterday I went for lunch, and was in a hurry so I couldn't wait for the mega line of white business types. So today I had the migas amid the company of alot of guyish solo white guys. Corn tortillas - perfect! Diced potatoes - strangely tiny pieces. Migas - good. Pricepoint - Rockin'. Additional comments: not quit Austin but E for Effort.
I didn't think the food was absolutely incredible, but this joint goes on my repeat visit list.
Note: They encourage call ins. Lunch is insane. They close at 2pm and are closed on Sundays!

Don't go for the food, just for fun.

Today's lunch experience: the pineapple curry looked good with red curry and basil. I asked for half shrimp and tofu. She said that woud be an extra charge, which I thought was kinda not cool since tofu is cheaper than shrimp. Then I asked for fried rice nd Toy said, "It's either brown or steamed." and pointed to the menu. It lists fried as an option. "Steam or Brown" she smiled. So no fried rice.
.
I decided to switch to Pad Thai with just shrimp. Lunch arrived with four good sized tasty shrimp, a generous portion of pad thai. I wasn't feelin' the four shrimp for $10. but , okay, they were good shrimp.
Again, this place is a little dingy somehow.
I havn't given up on Toy's but - eh. I don't expect much. It's basic thai food run by a thai woman. That's the best I can say about it.

Food is good.
Toy is nice and a real beauty.
The place, somehow, is a little creepy. Can't pin point it. I guess it just bugs me to eat alone, it's often deserted.
They have lunch specials.
The bathrooms remind me of thailand, with the sink outside, usually holding someones toothbrush.
Who built this killer little spot?
This was my only experience here, and it was a good one. Will go back for sure.

Friendly service, and clean new furniture, left over from Manow.
Much better asian places lurk close by for a few more dollars an entree, definitely worth it.
I will only eat here again under necessity.
In conclusion: prices are lower than you'd imagine, but for the quality of food, it's still a rip off.
