State of the art office:  Professional, pleasant, gentle and thorough!

It's been many years since I've been to the dentist.  I booked Dr. Walinski based on the yelp reviews and I was completely impressed!

Dr. Walinksi has a gentle strong aura about him.  He did my cleaning and check up.  He's got precise but gentle hands.  He obviously knows his tools, and knows how to handle them.  I never at at moment felt pain or discomfort.  For the first time in my life I was just actually enjoying the cleaning.  It had been many years since the last one but he was extremely diligent and checked on me to see how I was doing throughout the process.

I was happy to book my follow up 6 months later.

Also - everything I read about the decor, zen ambiance, relaxing atmosphere is better in person.  I really felt myself relaxing from the moment I walked in.  His receptionist is sweet and efficient.

Thank you Dr. Walinkski and I look forward to seeing you in 6 month!  My teeth feel amazing!

Great Harvest Bread

Great sandwiches and soup.

I was in Park City on business and had to make a Staples run.  This little bakery/restaurant is right next to it so I walked in.

They have artisan bread baked daily.  I ate a turkey cobb sandwich.  Liked it so much went back there for lunch the next day and had their Italian wedding soup.

At the beginning of the line - they offer you samples of their bread so you have an option to taste and select which bread you want for your sandwich or with your soup.

Big, airy set up.  Staff are friendly.  Prices are right.  I'd go back next trip for a soup and sandwich again.

My Zoey goes 3 times a week and is in Dog Heaven - she gets a smiley play face and her caboose of a rear end gets super happy every-time we get close to Dog Days.

Been going now for 3 months and LOVE taking my Boston here.  I did my research and visited 4 others within an 8 mile radius of me.  Didn't vibe with others for various reasons.

Walked into Dog Days immediately felt ...hmmm.. this could be the place.  It feels airy...doesn't smell.   The owners Tammy and Jeff KNOW about dogs.  They care about our dogs.  And they have a lot to share.  I brought my puppy here right after her Rabies so at that time she was 4 months and we were going through puppyhood.  Tammy gave me a few tips and advice.  She's worked in veterinary clinics prior to opening their own business.

I've boarded once on a trip and felt happy with my dog's disposition when I picked her up.

I have been taking Zoey now up to 3 times a week and will continue to do so.  They offer dog grooming.  I get my food from there as well - how convenient.    AND also saw they do pick ups.

Dog days is the real deal.  I recommend them highly!

Update - 3/1/2012
Blissed out.

I went again this last Saturday and I asked myself... why the heck don't I go more often.

I saw Monica - I like her...she's got moderate strength.  The other ladies have ninja fingers. I'm small and petite so I don't need miss bionic hands.

I was explaining the experience to my sister.  This is a "bath house" set up.  You get to a common room and you're all in your birthday suit.  So if you're squeamish ... get out of your comfort zone and strip down and don't even sweat it.  Come early to enjoy the space, the jacuzzi, the steam room, sauna, and the cold dips and more.

These ladies have hands that have a mission to find your knots.  Before they start the "massage" they exfoliate which actually acts as the pre massage and gets you all loose before the massage happens.  It's amazing to me - I totally fell into this trance... my eyes rolled back... I wasn't asleep... I was just so relaxed.

My skin felt like butter after.  My voice deepened.  I had this hazy look in my eye like I just drank a secret potion or something.   That's how relaxed I was.

Going back in 6 weeks.  Can't wait.

Went last night - thoroughly enjoyed my experience.

I was exfoliated from head to toe.  Such an amazing experience to have every inch of your body scrubbed down.  The effect was it increased circulation and woke up all of my cells.  I was tingling and relaxed.

It made the deep tissue massage that came after just over the top amazing because by then I was completely ready.  I practice yoga and run and lift weights so I have knots in multiple places.  She found running muscle knots I didn't even know I had.

Come early so you can enjoy the various treatments.

Also there was a total of 6 of us so it was great to be able to book the whole room and have our treatments the same time.

Best $110 you'll spend on a spa treatment.

Sushi Deli One

Who said sushi had to be expensive to be good?

This place is down the street from my house.  I drove by it a whole year before I tried it.  Always an extremely long line.  Finally we said - well...let's give it a shot.  If it's that popular...it must be good.

From the outside looking in - it's not appealing.  It's on a major busy street.  And it's bright in there... When you enter.. it's loud.  The name deli next to sushi doesn't even seem to match.  sushi + deli is like Chanel skirt suit +  socks.  Who combines that?

The line is long.  Because I live so close, I can put my name on the list, relax and go back in 30 min.  Or you go right when they open.

7 Reasons why I like Sushi Deli
1.  Miso Soup.  They serve it with tempura bits.  Crunchy when it first comes out.  So eat it right away and don't dilly dally.
2.   Mussells in green dynamite sauce.  4 mussels in this yummy concoction of a sauce for something unreal price of $2.50.
3.  Garlic Edamame.  First time I had it - was hooked.  Try it.  Make your friend eat it.  If you're on a date.  It's ok - since you both had it.
4.  Drink special.  Large beer and sake for a sock it to me price of $5 and change.
5.  Yellow Tail Sushi.
6.  Kama - $2.50 but only on weekend nights IF you are lucky.
7.  Check is always under $30 even with all this food.  YES.  I always have to check to see if they left something out.

I have taken many friends there and they have all enjoyed it.  My sashimi has always been fresh.  I always only order yellow tail and sometimes, tuna.

Yes - the wait is long because it's THAT popular.

Thank you Sushi Deli.  Because of you I get to eat sushi several times a month!

Quiet and relaxing.

You can see downtown from this bridge.  You'll want to stay a while...tell stories to each other and pass the afternoon away.  When you're done lingering... explore the canyon below.  Wear good shoes.  Bring a light jacket.  And your camera too.

One thing I didn't like is some punk dad with his kids were swinging the bridge from side to side.   When a lady walking through with her two dogs told him to respect the 100 year old bridge he got mouthy.  What a shame of an example for his kids.

Other than those few moments........this bridge is amazing.  I'd go back again on another walk.

Prompt and efficient service!

I got a call from my landlord that my water heater was leaking into my neighbor's wall.  I rushed home to meet Ely who she had contacted.  My landlord told me that he would be there in an hour, and he actually was there within 30 minutes.

Ely and another person whose name was Jack inspected and diagnosed the problem right away.  The water heater was in need of replacing, it was leaking and clogged with the mineral deposits.  It hadn't been replaced since the house was constructed perhaps 15 years ago.

Jack dismantled the current unit while Ely went to obtain a new one after seeing what size it was.

Ely promptly returned, installed and they were both done in a little over an hour.

Everything was fixed, clean, and tidy.  And they were both extremely polite... down to earth a pleasure to work with.

Great Salon in Hillcrest!

I saw Lisa who is one of their senior stylists.  I was extremely pleased with the result and I will go back to her.

I had medium length hair - and I was coming in to fix a botched up layered cut from a different salon... the layers were off balance and layered in front and then not too much layers in the back - it was a bad haircut because I had tried to go to a junior stylist - big mistake.  Anyway - that's why I will only choose senior stylists now - as it's totally worth it.

So back to Gila Rut - and Lisa!  Lisa kept my length and fixed my hair so it had structure to the layers.  They are cascading throughout, while at the same time have movement.  I saw my finished cut and just knew... it was fantastic and better than I imagined it.   I have quite a lot of hair apparently - so it's important that the stylist knows what she is doing - and Lisa totally did.   Lisa also is very professional in appearance and has a style of her own.  Which are traits I look for in a stylist.

I liked the salon - airy and modern.  Great location in the shopping mall area where the Core Power Studio, Trader Joe's, Ralphs is.  They are on the side where the postal annex is.  Great parking which is a huge convenience.

I have already recommended Lisa to some other friends.  I only get my hair cut several times a year and I think it is important that you trust and like stylist.  It's also worth it to invest in senior stylists.  I have been bouncing around to different salons because of time/convenience in appointments (I am often doing walk ins because of my schedule)/price.  But now after having a few bad results I am committing to making the effort to make the appointments with the stylist you like.

Great Seafood.  Great Service.  It's been a while since this has happened.  Well coordinated team - like an orchestra.

Stopped in on a Saturday for lunch.  Sat on the patio to enjoy the breeze.

The service was spectacular.   Our server was prompt, attentive and remembered all the details.  They also have back up servers that follow the main server to drop bread, refill water, and pick up dishes.  They were very subtle and smooth in their movements - perfectly behind the scenes.

Just as a note - we both work in hospitality so we know what good service means.

The food was yummy.  We ordered calamari.  The quality of the calamari was very fresh.  The breading was tasty and not at all greasy.  Can't quite figure out how they did this but it was magical.

And we ordered a salad - their special that day.  It had scallops, mangoes and a vinaigrette dressing.

It's been a while since we were floored by both the service and the food so I felt compelled to share for all of us that like to eat out and feel that it was great value and delicious at the same time.

The views are spectacular.

The zip lines are fun.  We did the big swing too which we almost didn't have a chance to do because you have to be pretty much the same weight and size... had they told us that we probably wouldn't have booked it.  I'm 5 feet.  He's 6 so we weren't even on the swing.   But it did make my tummy flip.

The guides are uber friendly and laid back and full of Aloha Spirit

Lunch was lame considering what you pay for the adventure.

Bring your camera - as there are lots of photo ops.  Our pics are here: http://magicallydelici...
