This place is right across the street from the Brooklyn Housing court. I used to eat here whenever I had to go to the Court which was quite frequently in the early 21st century. I had always been satisfied by the quality of service as well the food. Unfortunately after the renovation both are in extreme decline.
Now the place is cramped, the wait staff totally clueless. This used to be a place with great fresh diner food. What I received as chicken fingers tasted like they were real fingers amputated from a dinosaur ancestor of a real chicken fried in a batter normally used for fish uuuggghhhhh. Jade had Pastrami if that is what you call it suffice to say she only had two bites before she asked them to wrap it up for our cat. When we tried to feed it to the cat she looked at both us with the hurt eyes as if saying "I thought you loved me?". I know this is just Diner food  but in my opinion
I think the cardboard boxes this food came in would have tasted better.

Well it was an anniversary of sort. Jade and I have been seeing each other for over a year and suffice to say we still like each other. So there was reason to celebrate. It is a nice location even in the winter nice view of the river. I slipped the waiter a $50 tip prior to ordering our meal and received excellent service. The drinks were potent as if I needed the help tonight was a sure thing. OMG the music was a merengue reggaeton fusion thing that was not conducive to my digestive system. The plantain chips we had as an appetizer although crisp might as well have be called garlic chips. I had the Jerk Chicken entree which was excellent with rice and beans. Jade had some type of sizzling steak thingy which couldn't have been that good because she offered me some. Unfortunately it almost ruined the night because no matter how many breath mints or how much alcohol she consumed she reeked of garlic . I must be part vampire or something. You must have dessert we had this mango ice cream on a brownie the presentation was beautiful but flavor gave me an erection or was that my baby playing footsie under the table. Well suffice to say it is good enough to go again perhaps when I mess up and need to apologize.

As you can see by the address MOE'S is on the far eastside of Manhattan.
Honestly it was the Grand Opening and everything was free, well worth the price (Hee Hee.) . The burritos are of a very nice size and flavor MOE's offers you free Salsa and Chips with every burrito order. I had the "Homewrecker " burrito, the name is quite appropriate. I enjoyed it immensely but as with any dish with beans in it ' produces a gaseous back effect on me. So I had to sleep on the couch last night hence the name "Homewrecker". The decor for a fast food restaurant is simple but noT cheesy or cheap. The service was excellent I do hope they maintain the quality. I love Tex Mex food and this place rocks in that category, so clean you could eat off the floor almost had to being that it was so crowded. MOE's has several locations in the region this is their first one in Manhattan judging by the quality of food and service it will certainly not be the only one. pardon the pun but "YOU GOTTA GO TO MOE'S"!!!

Friday before Christmas I had an afternoon Corporate gig on Joralemon St in Brooklyn. I setup the equipment and was early about two hours.
So I decided to take a walk on Montague St browsing the shop windows for those last minute Christmas gifts. There I spied a diner with the name
Grand Canyon, my stomach being a bottomless pit at that moment, seemed like a match made in heaven. Hey not much on decor but the prices were more than reasonable. Jade ordered Souvlaki me being totally PC in a diner had a BBQ burger deluxe. Wow a 7oz burger well done not burned with no gristle in the burger seasoned fries that required no ketchup, enough lettuce and tomatoes to be considered a salad. The first bite of the burger reminded me of what ambrosia would taste like. Then our server brought over the pickles great great pickles made the experience divine. Jade was silent during the meal.
When my baby is silent it is indicative of her having a well above average dining experience. I asked her for a bite she then looked at me with an expression her face as if to say." Touch my food and die"
Service was quick and extremely  attentive my water glass was never totally empty during the meal. I highly recommend the Grand Canyon to all the Yelping Burger Boyz. Hey that sounds like a band!!!!!

Pinkberry"s Sminkberry's  Flurt is in my neighborhood and I love it. The fresh  toppings are great, the size is small so I don't have to hear the gaggle of geese in background. I can actually sit down and look at the second hand Armani Shirts and Zegna jackets I have bought from the Thrift shop about 3 doors down while tantalizing my tastebuds with the flurt rendition of a yogurt sundae. (no chocolate of course). This place is great for yogurt and booty watching. (wink, wink)

As with any burger veggie or otherwise, forget the sauces and ketchups.
A burger is as only as good as the pickle. NY Burger has lousy little pickles. Lets see I had the chili , burger ,fries and onion rings well we both had all of that. Maybe it was the time of day everything was soggy the lettuce tomatoes  even the fries. The service was fast but after the meal
I truly wanted to be bulimic for that moment. I would rather pay the money for Jack's hole than waste another dining experience at NY Burger. Oh just to top off the evening they threw  me out of Best Buy for yelling at the geek squad people for trying to sell 2 different people MS Office for $ 300 each. I whipped out my little Q1 Samsung and showed them my free Open Office Suite.

If you are visiting Prospect Park please try to enter from the southern most entrance. If you do then you will have the pleasure of viewing Grand Army Plaza which rivals any arch built.  I used to pitch pennies into Lincolns hat. Learned how to hit a curveball on the baseball fields. There is also a beautiful fountain right past the Arch. On the most eastern part of the park right below the zoo, are very very quiet sections yet oh so beautiful. Not much foot traffic especially after dark . Man I could go on I was going to tell you the story about something very naughty I did in PP.
I will save that for another time. Guys lots of events to attend perfect for a Saturday afternoon date or (tryst). http://prospectpark.com

This Museum is one of my favorite childhood haunts. Took my first art class there started out as junior member. They have a great egyptian exhibit., 3rd floor. Did anyone notice on the first floor the early american exhibit. The native american garb still has the bullet holes in them. How is that for authenticity. Come on guys don't beat up on a great little Museum. Go to the fifth floor you will be amazed at the sculpture.
