We just stopped by after doing some offroading with friends in the mountains nearby. Didn't have dinner but did grab some onion rings. Prices were ok -- what do expect for a tourist location like Helen GA? If you want cheap drinks, don't go to a tourist-oriented bar in a tourist town. Go five miles down the road to a local dive joint and you'll find plenty of $3.50 beers. Here, you get what they advertise: Margaritas and other frozen libations (and $4+ beer).

I wouldn't call this location someplace you'd take the wife to for a romantic dinner (it's definitely not that), but if you're looking for a cool, extremely casual bar (you have to go get your own drinks and food), with live music, and a nice view of the river from the huge open deck, then this is a cool place to go to.

We went here after the Yelp Elite event because they (Iberian Pig) had given us some delicious apps at the event. It's was very busy (weird for me because it was a Monday night but then again I don't frequent Decatur that often so that may be normal). We sat at the bar and had some drinks and a cheese plate that was recommended by our friendly and talkative (in a good way) bartenders.

I'm giving it five stars not because of the food -- we didn't eat dinner. We were already quite full from the Yelp Elite event and just wanted the cheese plate which was very good but lacking in the amount of bread they provided. They gave us two tiny slices of bread for that much cheese. They added two more slices when we asked but we shouldn't have needed to ask. For a $15 plate of cheese, certainly you could "spare" two more slices of bread.

Anyway, I'm giving them five stars because of the service and the atmosphere. I'm sure we'll go back to try their entrees soon and will provide another review about that.

My sister-in-law highly recommends the lamb sliders. We had the filets - awesome. Local brews are good too!

Fish and chips were pretty good. We were there for a club function so will have to go back to determine quality of the service --- wouldn't base my review on what we received when they were trying to serve 60 people simultaneously although they did a pretty good job of it.

First time having pizza here. Kinda like the atmosphere. Fairly busy on a Sunday evening but I wasn't in a rush and didn't mind downing a beer before my pizza came out. It was worth the wait! No problem with splitting my pizza into half pepperoni and mushroom (my fav) and the other half chicken and bacon (my second fav -- you should try it) even though it was a small pizza. Crust was excellent, meat and cheese were plentiful and the beers were cold. What else do you need? Will definitely go back.

Oyster bar in an airport? Sure, why not. It was pretty cool but very expensive. Oysters were very good! I had mine spicy. Expensive but what do you expect in an airport?  Ask for crackers if you want them. Might go back but would definitely watch what I ordered next time.

Dinner with the team. Upscale, trendy Mexican dining means you pay more than what it's worth but sometimes you just have to shut up and drink a Margarita. Service was pretty slow.

Beers and dinner with my team. Pretty cool location. Used to be part of a tobacco factory now repurposed for many businesses, shops, and restaurants. Tyler's has a ton of beers to choose from -- made my head swoon but I was ok after I had a Delirium Tremens Belgian beer. Will go back the next time I'm in the area.

Wow, great burger at a reasonable price. Comes with lots of fries. I had the bacon burger and the bacon was awesome -- could have just eaten that by itself.

So we had some reservations about this restaurant based on the reviews we read before we went but we said, "What the heck, let's go!"

The meats were fine, the salad was fine, the drinks were fine, and service was excellent. Not sure where everyone else went but for the location and the price, everything was what we expected. This is not fine dining in Buckhead nor is it an upscale Midtown eatery. We felt the prices were a little high -- our total bill was over $100 for two dinners, two beers, and two glasses of wine. You'd never expect that amount for any restaurant near there and I think that's what has people freaking out. In comparison, if we had had the same dinner at another Brazilian steakhouse, the price would have easily exceeded $140.

For the people who were complaining that they never got some of the meat on the menu.... all we had to do was ask for it and it was delivered to our table within a few minutes. My wife loves lamb and she had plenty of it. I love filets and had several types of filet beef. All the meat was either awesome or very good. My wife likes her beef more rare than what they gave her until she realized you could just ask them to cut deeper into the meat on the skewer to get to the rarer stuff than what was on the outside (medium). The rump roast (the house specialty) was too salty for us so we just stuck with all the other great meats.

The big question that drives all my ratings: Will we go back?

With the current prices, we might make it to Red and Green about once a year.  When we know the restaurant is going to be expensive, we like to get dressed up and go out on the town, not to "beautiful downtown Buford Highway just north of the Perimeter." That's not really our idea of a romantic place... more of an interesting place to try different inexpensive restaurants like Woo Nam Jeong Stone Bowl House a half block away (see my review at http://www.yelp.com/bi...)

With a significantly discounted coupon, we'd definitely go back.
