I love the Alamo Drafthouse!! I recently moved back home to Indiana, and Alamo is one of the places I'm really going to miss.

In 2000 I hired All in One Foundation to level my home. I spent over 12k for them to put piers around the perimeter of my house and inside the house.

When I was trying to sell my home in 2011  I found out the piers had failed - drastically! I had a contract but the deal fell through when the buyer's inspector discovered severe foundation problems. Repair estimates ranged from 15-40k. One of the repair estimates came from Robert at All in One.  

I called Robert from All in One to take a look and see if there were problems, and to give me an estimate. Because I would be a repeat customer and because the piers had failed, I asked if I could get a of discount if they did the work. His response was, "I won't charge you any more than I'd charge anyone else," and said they may be able to reuse some of the failed piers. I would have expected some type of discount since I'd already spent 12k with them and their work did not hold up. Instead, I got a flippant answer. At the time I hired All in One to do the initial work on my home, they only offered a 10 year warranty. It was year 11 when I found out the house had major foundation problems.

I understand the drought is partly to blame for the failure of the piers, but I definitely do not believe it's the only reason. After talking to other foundation companies, I believe the work was not done properly in 2000. The result was a loss of tens of thousands of dollars on the sale of my home.

I would absolutely not recommend this company to anyone under any circumstances!

UPDATE - MAY 14, 2012

On April 25, 2012 I received an email from Robert Knight of All in One Foundation. Keep in mind this was SIX MONTHS after I spoke with him about the issues with my home.

Robert said he "ran across my file" and "would like to help you out and get you back under warranty. If you have time in the next day or two please email or give me a call and let me know if you have done anything with your house. If not I would like to try and offer you some other options to solve this problem."

I emailed him back twice and left a voice mail. I let him know that I sold my house, but had lost approximately 60k on the sale due to the failed foundation work his company did. I told him I would be happy to revise my online reviews of his company if he could reimburse me some of the money lost. As of May 14, 2012, I have not heard from him. So again, I highly recommend anyone looking for a company to do foundation work to hire a company other than All in One Foundation.

I talked to quite a few companies before hiring Capitol Fence to install a fence and motorized gate for me in 2008. It was the right choice! They were very professional, fast, and did a great job. Just recently I called because I had a problem with the gate. It turns out it was just a dead battery, but William was out the next day and got it working again in no time.

I've been very pleased with Matt and highly recommend him!

As a longtime professional in the pet care industry myself, I'd like to see more pet sitters take their job as seriously as Matt does. I've had him care for my dogs a number of times and have been very happy. Even though he has many clients, he gives the type of care and consideration that makes me feel like I'm his number one client.

Both my dogs have some special needs and Matt's very mindful of that. One of my dogs in particular, has some health issues and as a result some of my instructions can be a bit detailed. Matt follows through with those instructions perfectly. Whenever I have Matt take care of my dogs I know they will be well taken care of.

My real estate agent suggested I have the trees in my yard trimmed a bit and had me call Joe. I honestly didn't realize just how scraggly and out of control my front yard was until after Joe's guys went to work. I'm amazed at how beautiful it looks now!  They do excellent work, and they don't waste time either! Within just a few hours my yard was transformed. And, every one of the guys who worked on the yard was pleasant and professional!

I shopped around quite a bit before deciding on 21st Century, and am happy I decided on them. I've hired them twice to do work on my home and both times I've been extremely satisfied. They do great work, their prices are reasonable, they're easy to work with, and they leave my house as clean as when the started. I'll hire them again if the need ever arises.

I called Thunderbird because they have a 5 star rating, and now I'm adding yet another 5 stars. Ted was very pleasant over the phone and even though I know he was busy, he took time to let me explain the issue I was having. He gave me a rough idea of what he thought it might cost then, about a half hour later, he was here working on my water heater. His estimate was right on and it didn't take him much time at all to get everything fixed.

And, as a much appreciated bonus, he was neat and clean - not a dirty, saggy pants, plumber! Thanks so much, Ted!

It's so nice to have something other than a Starbucks in the neighborhood! Strange Brew is a nice, cozy place that's easy to feel comfortable in. The people are friendly, the atmosphere is laid back, and they have free wi-fi!

Yelp requires at least one star, otherwise my rating would be zero stars. My Mother had a terrible experience with this doctor and as a result, nobody in my family will ever recommend him to anyone.
