The person taking our order wasn't cordial when we asked him how long they were opened for only 2 months in the Temescal location. I'm surprised to see comments from 2009. This location use to be LaVal's pizza. We ordered an XL 1/2 Pizza Nation Combo and 1/2 All Meat Pizza. We ordered it to go. The size of XL looked like a large, he didn't offer any condiments or give us any. We ordered their dinner salad it was okay. I thought the pizza was oily and the pizza was missing some flavors. I think we'll pass on coming here if we want to pay pricey, supposedly XL size pizza and mediocre tasting pizza.

Delicious pizza. We ordered it to go. Cowell's and Maui Wowie were good tasty pizzas. It hard to find a good pizza place in the East Bay. I've enjoyed Bowzer and this place so far.

Kohala Ditch Adventures

This use to be run and owned by Flumin' Da Ditch. This use to be an old water irrigation system. They are apart of the ATV Outfitters Hawaii.

We had a great 3 hour tour guide with Bernelle and Pono on a raft shaped like a canoe. They were very knowledgeable and knew a lot of the Hawaiian history. We got into a military transport truck that took you along a beautiful scenic view of the former sugarcane fields. You are not allow to wear flip flops so bring covered shoes. There is a lot of agriculture along the ride. We went through 10 tunnels and it's shaded. Bring a flashlight. Bring a camera but just make sure you can put it in a ziplock just incase it gets splashed. At the end of the ride we got to ride on a 6 passenger ATV. They provided drinks and macadamia nuts. Oh, make sure you use the restroom prior to the ride.

Bowzer's Pizza

We really enjoy the cornmeal pizza we order the Bowzer Special and the Meat lover pizza. Their salad was pretty good but a little oily. We haven't been here in awhile we were glad to get table service. They converted the tables to booths. They are very accommodating to kids because they were asked what movies to watch. So far this is the best standard crust pizza in the East Bay.

Catholic school uniform. Yep, it's overpriced but are we really surprised? Nah. Although, the boys' leather belts were $9.00 so that was pretty reasonable. This place is close to Oakland airport and it's pretty remote. It's very clean and organized. The salesperson was attentive and we were lucky it wasn't busy. Yes, the candy is a little pricey. It's specializes in candy. It's a fun shop for adults and kids (of course.) They carry all kinds of candy. I was fortunate enough to try their sour candy. DELICIOUS and very sour. They sold extreme size candy, which was fun to see and retro candy. They carry a lot of cute clothing items, cute accessories, cute bags and bug candies. Yep. After an AMC movie night this is the next best thing to entertainment.

Service was quick. Food was yummy. We ordered their salt & pepper pork chops, pea sprouts, boiled pork dumplings with leeks, combination chow mein with handmade noodles. The noodles were delicious. I think I will have to try their soup dish because the noodles looked so tasty. I tried their savory pork buns and it was heavenly. I had it for breakfast and it was nice and filling.

I was surprised to know that a restaurant in Chinatown had one of the blandest food. We ordered the wonton soup, beef & broccoli and chicken fried rice. I thought the wontons were overcooked. I was very surprised how bland the food tasted. Also, I thought the food was pricey. It was $20 dollars for 3 dishes. They charge 50 cents for a togo cup?! Wonton soup for 7.50? Need I say more?

The food is fresh and I did enjoy their salmon rice ball, croquettes with curry and without. They have the cook side and cold side so it depends on your mood for the food. I haven't tried their bento boxes but just their small individual items.

I think the only disappointment is their hand rolls. I really like it if their seaweed is nice and crunchy instead of a moist chewy texture.

Great American Hamburger & Pie Co

We thought the burgers were good - hamburger, cheeseburger, grilled onions cheesburger and bacon burger. We ordered chilli fries, onion rings and shakes. Delicious! Reasonably priced for a local burger joint less then $6.00 for a burger. Shakes were good and thick. I tried a sample of their tiramisu shake yummy.
