I'd been meaning to go here for a while, and when that place that used to be a burrito joint was too busy to even put our names on a list, we meandered over here.  I'm really glad we did.

The menu instructs "ask for our vegetarian/vegan menu!" so I did.  What I got was our friendly waiter.  "You don't need a veggie menu.  You have ME!"  He then gave me a tour of all the apps and entrees I could have, and there was plenty to choose from.  When our little bunny friend asked for the wine list, he asked her what she liked, and said a name that stopped her in her tracks just-like-that.  Pretty impressive.  As were the margaritas, guac, and the rest of the food.

Tropisueno was a great night out.  It's like eating at a good friend's house, but with someone else doing all the cooking so your good friend can catch up with you.

That was ridiculously fun!  I think I have a severe case of "skee ball arm" today, but it's well worth it.  Plus, Kingpin and I rid the world of terrorists last night.  It was messy and my trigger finger has a blister on it today, but you can thank me later.

Thanks, Yelp, for bringing out my inner child to play.  I hadn't seen 'er in a while.

Now that I'm obsessed with Bi Bim Bap, I've had Sorabol's version a few times.  It's OK.  Kinda pickly and no fried egg, but it will do in a pinch.

I'm still a regular fan of the fried noodles.  Mmmmmmm.

I enjoy going here and getting the stir-fried noodles with tofu and veggies (go to the back counter to order these, not the steam table).  Please note that you may find the occasional meat bit in your veggie noodles because they fry them up in the same pan they do everyone else's noodes.  The portions are huge -- I will often save half for a later meal.  Ditto on the kim chee...  there's something not so yummy about it.

Lured in by the promise of $5 bi bim bap and a new hole-in-the-wall deli, I set off to find Tan's.  And walked by it about 5 times before I figured out it was hidden in the bowels of an office building.

The folks behind the counter were sweet and attentive, and the bi bim bap was indeed $5.  I guess I'm spoiled by John's, but I wasn't impressed.

I've passed by this little deli for years, thinking they only had meaty sandwiches (which they do).  Turns out, they have a few veggie options and they are quite swoon-worthy.  I'm more than happy to wait 20 minutes for my turn to pick my roll (WITH THE TONGS!) and get my sammich to eat by the water.  I dream about their mozzarella sometimes.  So what?

We went soon after they opened, and service was a little rough (but apologetic).  The food was delicious, although portions were small.

However... I have to remove a big stARRRR for not saying that there is fish in the egg salad sandwich.  I would never think to ask if there was meat in a traditionally vegetarian sandwich!  I'm not a restaurant professional, but I think there should be a rule that If you're using an unexpected ingredient, you should call if out on the menu.  Especially if not doing so could cause someone an illness or to violate a principle they hold dear.

I only went to the old Perry's location for happy hour, but had my eye on the new waterfront location for a while before I tried it.  The new Perry's is now my go-to spot for a sit-down lunch in the Embarcadero.  Prices are fair for the location, portion size, and quality.  Service is friendly, and they can usually get you a table for lunch without much of a wait.

My favorites are the mac and cheese (big yum) and the spinach salad (sans walnuts).

We were able to get a last-minute seat at the counter for lunch, and I was so glad.  Really, really tasty food, top-notch service, and a good show watching the food be prepared.

Of course, my favorite thing (aside from an organic fried egg on my thin crust pizza) was the PIRATE SHIP STICKER (yes, I'm yelling) on my leftover box.  How did they know?

OK, we're picky.  We want cute furniture that's comfy and supports our tired backs.  We have specific dimension requirements and a very limited budget.  Easy, right?

I think we sat on every couch at Kantors, cute or not. And we found the perfect couch, loveseat/"chair-and-a-half" -- and a bonus $99 rug.  We got free shipping, and voila!  New furniture.  It *was* easy!

5 stars to Habitot for offering week-long themed camps all through August, when everyone else is shut down.  The twins looooooved "construction camp," and came home with really cute projects.  We also liked the "curbside pickup and drop-off" service so we didn't have to deal with parking.  Well done, Habitot!

We went here during Train Week on a free Saturday, and it was just a kid or two under mayhem.  Still, we had a great time.  It was easy to find our way there from the parking lot across the street, and there were lots of things to do.  (Of course, we only played with train-related stuff, but that's how we roll.)

They have a cushy room just for bitties and crawlies, a messy art room, a water table room, a peanut-free snack room, and all kinds of other activities.  Most of the activities would be enjoyed best by 2-3 year olds, but there was enough to occupy 0-2's and 4's to merit a trip.  I'd like to go back on a calmer, paid, non-theme day and see how it compares.
