Great little spot! Obviously with 5 stars on Yelp I don't have to say much about the food.  You can't go wrong with anything so far.  I've been here 3 times and have enjoyed everything. I had the Burger, Red Brick Chicken Salad and the pulled pork sandwich.

Being busy is a great problem to have.  With lines out the door it can take a little while to get up to the counter to order.  The Parking can be a problem but you can't always have everything perfect. They seem to do their best to get your food out ASAP.  Glad they are hitting a homerun and it's pretty close to my house so that's another plus for me!

This place is great for an awesome and reasonably priced "sammy".  I've had the Pulled Pork (one of the best I've had), the Steak sandich (very tasty), and the Burger (also can't go wrong there)

I'm not sure how many people knopw about this little gem , but I hope it stays around! Show owner comment »

Went there for lunch.  I ordered the Cajun Pasta with crawfish and chicken.  It could have used a little more flavor in the sauce, and they put way to much sauce into the dish and made it too thick.  If they would ease up on the amount of cream suace it would be pretty solid.  We also ordered the catfish basket with coleslaw....it was damn near burned it was so crispy, and the cole slaw was swimming in juice.  Sevice was spotty as well.

However, I am wanting to try the VooDoo chicken sandwich.  If that fails then I can't see myself returning for food.

I'll begin this by saying all the ridiculous names for taco joints are getting out of hand and I really wish these guys took that into account. Fuzzys, Pink, Rock'n, and now the oh so uncouthful...Velvet Taco.  I think we get it!  But now the jokes on your business for feeding into this douche bag mentality of naming your business after the female genitalia. With that said...

Instead of passing these guys up based on their name alone, I thought I'd give them a shot.  I'm really happy that the food actually surpasses the name. I was greeted at the menu wall and was given suggestions.  The staff was friendly and I chose 3 very tasty tacos #17, #9, and #2. The flavors were good, the portions were hearty and tortillas were...wait for it...homemade!  I'm glad I gave Velvet Taco a fighting chance.

I've been here 3 times and I've had good food and service everytime.  It's a little tiny place so I can see how people would feel a little closterfobic...but hey it's a great little restaurant and I hope they continue to rock it out for Oak Cliff.  Keep up the good work!

Brazen Head is a neat little classy restaurant.  I think they need a little work on service though.  The food was good...not great.  I personally was just slightly  disappointed with my meal.  I ordered the Veal Picatta.  I think it was just because I've had better.  I wasn't a fan of the sauce.

To our waitress- The band Foreigner says: "She's as cold as ice"  It took her a while to talk to us when we sat down.  She walked up and just asked if she could get us drinks.  Didn't tell us her name, didn't try to offer a appetizer, we had to let her know that we were ready to order.  Then she disappeared and another waitress took over. I had to ask for bread after seeing all the other tables with bread.  I also had to ask for glasses of water.  This should be standard in any restaurant.  This place is very small, so I don't see how it could be tuff to wait tables here.  I've noticed a trend in service in SF...not that good.

My friends food was really good.  He had the Prime Rib.  

In the end, I just feel like I over paid overall.  I never mind spending plenty  of money on a meal as long as service, food, and atmosphere are good.

We went to Don Pisto's for Brunch.  I had the breakfast burrito, which was very tasty.  They apparently make their own chorizo which is very good as well.  The service was on point...friendly and attentive.  All servers and managers constantly helping one another out, as it should be.  I'm looking forward to returning soon.

Elite Cafe?  I think it should be called DELETE Cafe.

I was really excited about this place.  Things were going well...we sat at the bar and ordered a bloody mary and then ordered our food.  My friend and I  both got the braised beef benedict.  I have one word for it...BLAND.  It was like eating a piece of cardbord with tobasco on it, because that's the only flavor that I could get out of this dish.  The bloody mary was terrible...very watery with chucks of horseradish floating around.

Service:  I have another one word answer for this also....UNATTENTIVE.  The bartender started off great with suggestions ect.  We recieved our food and she didn't return until it was time for the bill.  We sat there with our plates in front of us after eating until we got the bill.   We were never asked how our meal was, she just assumed we liked it.  Her fellow bartender never stepped into help us while she was gone.  I've noticed something very nerve wrecking about service in San Francisco...it's pretty shitty overall.  The food can be very good, but where is the service?  I don't want to be wined and dined I just want people to be nice and attentive.  I feel like people just don't care around this city sometimes.  Service is such an important element that I've seen most restaurants in SF ignore completely.  There isn't any since of urgency at this place.

The reason I gave 2 stars instread of one is because I'm hoping that this place isn't like this all the time.  They probably do have good food and better service.  I really hope that the owner/manager reads the reviews.  I wasted $55 on this meal.

We got the special.  One slice to-go...it was awsome.  Just how I like my crust, crunchy on the bottom and lots of toppings on top.  Very happy with my selection.

Best sicilian pizza I've had in SF.  Really cool little pizza joint.  Beware going here late night you're bound to stand in long lines.  Going in the middle of the day isn't so bad.  The pizza is placed in the window for you to view before you order at the counter.  They re-heat the pizza pefectly.
