This place has some of the best food, especially for the price. My g/f and I stopped by the other week, ordered one chinese dish with rice, spicy pork dumplings, and the chive pancake for a grand total of $23. YES!!! The service is ehh but the food more than makes up for it. I've been twice with work now and my g/f has been bugging me to take her back. The soup dumplings are crazy good as well. I can't wait to go back and try different stuff.

Nice little breakfast joint here. The main draw for me is that it's a block away from my g/f's apt so we can walk. The food and service was good but nothing spectacular which is all I want at a place like this. Don't get me wrong everything was good but nothing more or less. It's going to be a repeat for sure.

These guys (or girls) make some good burgers! I've had a few different kinds and they are always really good. The sweet potato fries are tasty as well. I don't really have much to write about The Patty Shack since it's really just a burger joint (to me). Go in, eat a burger, ? that's all I want/need from it and it comes through.

We walked by this place numerous times and have always said we should try it. Finally we did and we were very pleased.

We made reservations for a Saturday night @ 7:30 and got seated about 10 minutes after 7:30. They took our drink orders but since the bar was full had no "waiting room" seating so we had to stand by the door while we had our drink. Not ideal.

After we were seated our waitress was very nice and had no problems explaining everything on the menu and/or make recommendations because the layout is a little odd. Everything was very original looking and reasonably priced. The wine/drink menus were also reasonably priced for what you got. For dinner we got the Freemans (I'm not sure of the name) Pinot which was about $60 and we were both pleased with the selection.

As I said our waitress was very nice but because of these I found we had to wait a bit to get through some basic ordering. She was very busy and tried her best but a few things should have been handled quicker like taking our wine with dinner order after our drinks had been empty for a while.

For dinner we got two nibbles:
- Soft boiled Quail eggs wrapped in sausage, breaded, and fried
- Some other thing that was like a big pot sticker (it was good)

Two entrees:
- Some Quail thing that was really good
- Fois Gras infused prime beef (mmmm)

Two extras:
- Mac N Cheese (it was nothing spectacular, but it was still good)
- A crazy brussel sprout concoction  (It was amazing)

Dessert:
- Brownie & cream (mmm)

Only 4 stars because of the odd wait for taking orders and awkwardness while we waited for a table even with reservations. Had we been seated right away it would have easily been 5 stars. Great  place and I'm sure we'll be back.

Just as a lot of other people, I saw some reviews and decided to bring a group of people here for a birthday celebration.

Cold, rainy, Saturday night and 10 or 11 of us come in after our dinner and sit by the fireplace. The bartender came over and took all of our drink orders because the physical bar wasn't very busy. We appreciated it and in returned ordered multiple rounds because everybody said their drinks were really good. We all sat around the fireplace for a few hours talking, having fun, and just generally enjoying the night.

The bar started to pick up a little bit but it never got overly loud or so busy we had to wait to order a drink. This is good because it makes for a nice experience but bad because I hope this place does well in the future. Everybody knows Redwood City needs more places like this to thrive.

The inside decor is very nice and the music is a mix of downtempo/dub type house and top40 which was played at a level where we could still chat in normal voices but hear and enjoy the music. I do think the place could benefit if they brought in a local DJ on the weekends to really set the ambiance with GOOD lounge music. The music wasn't bad but it was an obvious itunes/pandora playlist which is kinda cheap.

The location is a little out of the way but it's worth the 5 minute walk. I'll be coming back for sure!

We came here with a party of 11 and I must say they handled it very well. I was organizing a little birthday party for my g/f and made a reservation here in advanced.

I'll admit the original idea was to hit up a new "pasta" place that is kitty corner of Margaritas but after I called that place and they denied my reservation and wouldn't even take my name I'm glad we went with margaritas.

I called Margaritas 20 minutes before our reservation and they explained the tables are already setup with menus and pitchers of water so we can head over whenever. The service was great, food was good and everybody seemed to really enjoy themselves.

Overall the experience was really fun and I'm glad we came here.

I really like this place! It's a weird mix of casual, local, and upscale all mashed into one. The employees, menus, and patrons really give the place an interesting personality.

The bar is pretty bland but the drinks are STRONG and the bartenders are friendly. They seem to roll with whoever they server (ie: local person -- jokes around, date type -- recommendations, breaking ice). My poor GF had two of the pineapple infused vodka drinks (before dinner) and even ate the pineapple after the bartender told her to. It was pretty funny and made for a good start to the evening.

The dinner was fantastic. Our waiter was dressed very nice but he had kind of a slow moving relaxed style (note: he wasn't slow, just had that "chill" pace) which made it really easy to talk to him. He knew everything we asked and made everything feel very comfortable. The food itself was very good. I don't have much to say about it. Smoked salmon for appetizer and steak for dinner. Hit the stop and was priced very reasonable.

The decor was Halloween themed because that's around the time we went. They went all out with the decorations. It's nice to see and only adds to the local type personality of the place

Other than that we had a nice view and great time. The deals they have running will make me go back for sure.

Fun place! A group of us stopped by this place after a work party to have some drinks and it seemed like everybody had fun.

The prices: Almost reminded me of Chico. I think I walked in with $50 - $60, stuck w/ Jameson, and probably ordered two or three rounds for everybody? I can't remember exactly how much but holy crap the walk back to the hotel was interesting.

Bartenders: standard, if you make eye contact and have your order ready they'll take it. Tip accordingly.

The Place: HUGE, we all stayed at the bar rocking out to the 80's but when I walked around trying to find the bathroom is when I realized how large the place was. Would be a lot of fun to rent out for a large party.

Overall, everybody had fun, the music fit for the crowd (could use a DJ though...hint hint me!), and service was standard for a bar of this type.

Love this place and I really don't come here often enough for how good it is.

My g/f and I last came here about 7 years ago and had a great wine (sorry, not gonna say what it was because they only have one or two bottles left). FWD to last Friday and me browsing through the wine list...what do I see? The same wine. Cellar stored so it's still perfect. I had brought a bottle and we had already opened it ($25 corkage fee btw -- but if you order a bottle it's waived obviously) because it took me a solid 20 minutes to find the wine. Luckily the bottle I brought was good so we polished it off before our dinner even arrived and ordered the old one we loved.

Owner stopped by to say hi, our waiter was pretty funny and more than helpful, and the Sommelier was friendly. One weird thing that happened twice was while my g/f was talking to the waiter; this girl (maybe a waitress or buss girl) came in and interrupted him. She never acknowledge us or said excuse me. It was very noticeable, rude, and happened twice. I almost said something but we were still having fun so I let it go.

The food was just as I remembered it, homemade and delicious. We started with the lightly fried Risotto mozzarella balls (OMG!!), had a spinach salad (which we didn't actually order but it was on the house), Got the cannelloni for dinner, and finished it off w/ some Tiramisu. Everything was fantastic.

What else can I say? If you've been here you know how cool of a setting the outside is, the waiter gave my g/f a blanket after it got a little chilly and that was that.

Go, relax, have fun, and enjoy some quality Italian/Sicilian food!

I'm a fan!

Good, fast, friendly service. Reasonable prices and the something "pink" roll was probably one of the best rolls I've ever had. I'll be coming back for sure.
