I do like this place, I wish I was in the neighborhood more often.  I have only been a couple of times but the staff was memorably great and I love the vibe.  They take the Go Local card, which I love.  The coffee & pastries were great but the chai was...not impressive.  I disagree with an earlier reviewer that said Katz's coffee is bad, I really like it and often buy it in bulk or at the farmer's market.  The patio overlooking Shoal Creek is a nice extra.

I can't give an adequate review since I don't eat most meat but I have tried the queso, guacamole, fried avocado taco and the Baja shrimp taco.  Once during a poultry relapse I tried the brush fire taco.  I wasn't as excited about the fried avocado as some of my friends are but I am completely addicted to the Baja shrimp and may be cultivating a burgeoning addiction to the queso.  The brush fire is also pretty tasty (and spicy!)  The prices take some getting used to (for tacos?) but it's worth to support a local tasty taco business.  Oh and they accept the Go Local card as an added bonus.

 Update - 7/6/2009
I just wanted to write an update because I am still seeing Ann regularly and am just as pleased with the results as I was a year ago, maybe more so.  Most recently she helped me recover from a sinus infection that had not responded to two different kinds of antibiotics.  Furthermore, she has really improved my chronic pain and overall sense of health and well-being.  I look forward to having a long relationship with Ann.

Ann is a wonderful practitioner & person.  I have been to many acupuncturists before her but I have had the best & most consistent results under her care.  I have a plethora of ailments and she tirelessly works to figure out the root issue so I can get better.  It is obvious that my wellness is of much greater importance to her than making money.  It is wonderful to receive treatments from a person who clearly enjoys what she does.

I love Ozone & I have dealt with many other bike shops in this town.  The guys have always been very friendly & helpful and never act like bike snobs.  They have helped me with all three of my bikes and quite a few accessories and I feel like everything is priced fairly.  I just got my road bike tuned up & it was ready a day earlier than they said it would be.  I love supporting an awesome local business.

Although the food/ambiance is perhaps not 4-star quality I am a huge fan of Fire Bowl because they offer a GLUTEN FREE menu, yay!  It's terribly difficult to find GF Asian food and although they don't offer GF soy sauce like PF Chang's does, I love that you can make a noodle bowl with your own choice of veggies.  Granted there are only a few items on the menu that are GF, it's a lot better than most places!

Craft-O-Rama - CLOSED

I stumbled upon Craft-O-Rama one night after visiting the Amy's Ice Cream next door.  They were closed so I found the website and lo-and-behold all the classes!  I'm a little crafty but I could use some pointers so I signed up for the beginning knitters class to hone my skills.  The instructor (Becky) was very sweet, patient and personable and even had a handout prepared with instructions, resources and a pattern.  I left the class with a cute little wrist cuff, button hole and all!  I love the store's style & all the goodies to look at, I think I will take the sewing 101 class next!
p.s. they offer a student discount on supplies!
