This is one of my favorite brunch spots in Brooklyn. I've been here at least half a dozen times to get sloshed and fed on Sunday mornings.

The food is great, I've basically tried everything on the menu but I usually stick with my standard. Chilaquiles with their wonderful lemon scented quinoa and kale that's always perfect.

Their cocktails are magical. I used to get the Beatnik but it was too delicious and I would end up smashed (strong pours). Now I stick with the Aperol Spritzer, so refreshing.

I can't say what this place is like for lunch, dinner or anything else really but for brunch it's hard to beat!

I've been looking for a good standard barber in the Greenpoint area since I moved here three months ago.

I tried the popular places but after mixed results at $20-$25 a pop I was on the search for something better.

I went here on the recommendation of a friend and I wasn't disappointed. I got my hair cut by Jack, a nice guy who grew up in the Soviet Union. I asked him how long he had been a barber, "I was born with scissors in my hand" he responded. And after the results I kind of believe him.

Really nice atmosphere. Classic neighborhood in and out kind of place. No fuss just down to business.

This place used to be called the Twigg's St. Barber shop. Once upon a time I got kicked out of there by the very strange former owner and thus wrote a negative review.

The place has changed names to Artisan's Edge and is now owned by Frank Leyva, a master barber with 25 years of experience. His experience definitely shows. The place has changed for the better in many ways.

I went there for a shave and ended up getting a haircut as well because he was doing such a good job. Frank is great at keeping his customers relaxed with his funny stories and he is quick and accurate with a straight razor. That and you get to lay back in a hundred year old barber chair. Pretty great way to slow down your day.

I really couldn't ask for a better grooming experience. Go to Frank if you want get your beard and your hair done right. He is the best for sure.

This place is great but  you're getting what you pay for. This isn't a pro lab. Yes they process all sorts of fancy films but they still are basically a one hour photo. So keep that in mind.

I love going here. Every time I'm in Brooklyn I make a point to drop off some rolls and I've never really been disappointed.

I've eaten here a couple times and let me premise by saying I'm vegetarian so I can't give a full opinion.

They have three vegetarian rolls. I had the fresh vegetarian roll and the pickled vegetarian roll. The pickled was the better of the two but both were a bit bland. That's not surprising considering the ingredients though so I can't really blame them.

Their wasabi is monster hot. I used a medium sized dab on one of my rolls and the pain was so intense that I experienced something close to an endorphin rush.

The service was good although my food came out a few minutes after the orders of my meat eating family.

I use Wolf to develop my film when I'm at home in Venice FL. I won't anymore.

I brought one roll of 35mm there. They charged me something like $3 to develop 24 exposures. Great I thought I'm going to come back here.

About two weeks later I brought 6 rolls of film to them. Four were 35mm two were 120. They charged me $128. To get scans and single prints of everything. That's like $20 a roll. Horrible.

The prints were pretty bad. No detail in the blacks and slight cropping when compared to the scans. I didn't even get the 120 back. The woman running the counter forgot to hand it to me. Now I have to go back there and pick it up. Really annoying.

One of the rolls had 36 exposures on it I didn't get any contact sheets with more than 22 exposures showing. I can see a few pictures not coming out but 14 on one roll... Really?

The service isn't bad and one guy working there has a pleasant British accent I just wish the product they delivered was better.

Oh and their scans are pretty awful too. Only 1200 pixels wide with file sizes under 1mb. That's barely larger than the print itself. I got scans of 120 film and there was visible dust all over them...  Invest in $100 flat bed scanner and you could blow this place out of the water.

If you want to use your film for anything other than annoying the grandkids or impressing your silver haired friends at bridge night I wouldn't go here.

I'm pretty disappointed.

I happened by this gem one day when I was driving down Fowler Ave. and decided I needed a shave.

I pulled in to the nearest strip mall with a barber shop. Luckily for me it was Free Stylin'. Kil (as it says on his business card) did me right. Clean, tight lines in my beard in no time and all for only $4.

Give this guy business he is awesome! He even puts his cell on his business card just in case you have a beard emergency!

Munchies 4:20 Cafe

I'm sorry to have to write this. i really didn't want to have to be in this position and I'm probably biased but I have to say I was completely disappointed by my experience here.

I'm a vegetarian. I went to Munchies with two friends who eat meat. They both ordered the Fat Daddy which looked completely awesome. There were barely any other customers and the sandwiches still took something like 30 or 40 minutes to arrive. I ordered the Fat Hippy. They told me they didn't have one of the ingredients. I said that was fine.

My friends sandwiches arrived they ate them and mine still hadn't shown up. About forty or fifty minutes after my initial order the girl running the counter ( who was very nice) told me that the cook dropped the main ingredient of my sandwich on the floor and that they were now out and could not make a replacement.

This made me sad and angry. She offered an alternative but the vegetarian options are really limited so I declined. She offered a gift certificate I declined that too because I don't live in the area.

Bottom line I wish they would have told me sooner and more than that I wish they would keep this place stocked and push orders out a bit quicker.

I can't recommend this place even though I really want to because their menu offerings are completely insane and interesting.

Sorry Munchies I was really looking forward to your amazing gut clogging ways, but instead you struck out with me =(

New World Brewery

While most in Tampa seem to think that New World is some sort of mecca to beerdom I hardily disagree. For some reason I have been going here for years and I think I am finally going to stop. The staff is generally rude, their sound guy for shows is terrible and incompetent and their beer is over priced.
They've had Oktoberfest on tap for months now as I write this it's April WTF.
They do have a decent pizza but that being there only saving grace isn't enough to keep me coming back. Oh yeah and they have one of the best jukeboxes in Tampa and it's free...
Go here if you want a beer that is 30% more than it would be down the street at Tampa Bay Brewing Company or any other place in Ybor really and you'll also get to enjoy the favoritism of the pretentious staff when the hipster next to you at the bar gets a pint for $2 less than you just because they're "cool."

The service is excellent. Yes as a previous reviewer mentioned the food is reheated but I still find it to be delicious. I spent three months in India last year and I have to say this food does hold a candle to the real thing.

I get mine super spicy and I love it. The Chana Masala is wonderful. The vegetable curry is just ok.

I recommend this place for good quick Indian food.
