Gabbi updated her dessert menu and included a chocolate chili crème brûlée. Its a must try dessert. Sweet, chocolaty, with a hint of chili spice.
This is a go to place for us if we are in the mood for some upscale mexican cuisine. Based on Gabbi's Yucatan heritage, the food takes that local flare (not that spicy) and takes it to a new level. Specials are always a great way to dine, but I also recommend their poc chuc or the cochinita pibil, as they are served with the habanero salsa (a little goes a long way).
If you dine on Friday or Saturday evening and arrive after 6pm, plan for a long, long wait. Calling ahead worked for a while, but I they may have ended that plan. Go ahead and squeeze yourself into the bar area and order a margarita or the Sangria, or walk across the street to Aldo's bar; its less crowded and Gabbi's will call you when your table is ready.
Ed, Gabbi and their staff always treat us well. We are always greeted with smile and dinners are never rushed in the cozy location (the city should let them open the sidewalk for food), which in my mind is the only way to dine when you get to savor the top notch cuisine. Save room for the churos or the chocolate mayan tart.
First of all, ignore the reviews that they are cash only. We go semi regularly and have paid using credit cards with no issue..
This is a great hole in the wall place where you can get good tasting Mexican street food. Don't expect fancy service, or great decor. What you can expect is flavorful Mexican food at cheap prices. Items we like are chile verde, the crispy tacos and carnitas.
So go get some tacos, have a beer, nibble on the chips and enjoy some tasty food without breaking the bank.

Our favorite way to enjoy this restaurant, is to order the cheese plate, a sampling of carne (cured meats) order a nice bottle of wine and sip, taste and watch the people on the faux Piazza San Marco. We have done this twice and its our favorite way to spend a lazy time in Las Vegas. Service was impeccable, and their tastes were perfect as I let them pick the cheese and carne after I selected the wine. What is best about the cheese platter is the condiments served with the cheese. Amaretto cherries, wine soaked apricots with chili and black truffle honey allow the cheeses to explode with flavor.
Our third time at the restaurant, we actually had dinner. My wife and I both chose a Ragu style pasta, mine with pork and hers with lamb. Both were tasty, but not as tasty as our normal appetizer. The dessert of apple sorbetto with oatmeal gelato and an oatmeal brittle was very tasty and unique dessert. They had several combinations, but this one was recommended by our waiter and her suggestion did not disappoint.
On our next trip to Las Vegas, you will find us back on the faux piazza sipping wine and enjoying our cheese. Wave to us as you walk by.
