Kinda far for dim sum....IMO. But only an old friend can get me to go all the way out here.

Selection is the same as Koi Palace in Daly City....minus the wait! I think we got our table for 5 within 10 minutes. That's definitely a plus as I was super hungry that morning.

Place is cleaner too and I don't hear any crazy Asian grandma's yelling and screaming like you normally do in DC. I also did not feel like I was stuffed into any seating area like sardines in a can.

The food itself was pretty pleasant as I ordered the usual:

Shrimp Dumpling - liked it
BBQ pork steamed bun - it was ok, the bun was a lil too moist for my liking
Chinese donut wrapped with rice noodle - loved it
Portuguese Egg tart - liked it
Steamed rice noodles w/ different selection of meat - liked it
And a bunch other plates which was exceptional.

I especially like their cocktail list for the different type of alcohol they serve...but hard liquor with dim sum might be asking for trouble :)

Will I ever come here again? Most likely yes for special occasions and to avoid the dreaded morning crowd in the SF area.

I love coming here for when there's no line......because it's usually 99% packed!

Setting: Rainy day
Time: 11ish
Commute: Hitching a ride or MUNI
Tip: Ask for Dirty Sauce....tons of it if you can!

Top 3 sandwiches so far:
Hollywood's SF Cheesesteak w/ Extra Dirty Sauce
Matt Cain w/ Extra Dirty Sauce
Count of Monte Chase-O w/ Extra Dirty Sauce

Yeah, you get the picture...EXTRA DIRTY SAUCE.

Next on my list:
Nacho Boy and Al Bundy!

Love coming to this place...when there's no line.

*I know they take phone orders and stuff....but I'm so spontaneous I never plan ahead*

Hyped up...and was disappointed.  It looked great in the photos...looked great on paper.  Tasted just 'ok' in person.

I do love the decoration and the atmosphere the restaurant was trying to achieve and it makes sense why they call it "Homeroom".

A few friends and I ordered five different mac n cheese concoctions to sample the different styles they have to offer.  Ordered the Mexican, the Classic, the Goat Cheese, the Bacon/Egg, and the Hot Dog/Chips.

All of them tasted pretty average aside from the Mexican.  At least that one challenged our tastebuds and was a little spicy.  Every other one tasted exactly how it sound like...classic was..just simple mac n cheese.
Mac N Goat cheese have....duh...Goat cheese :)
Bacon/Egg...just imagine mac n cheese with sprinkles of bacon in the mix, topped off with an overcooked sunny-side up egg.
Hot Dog/Chips....they were out of chips...so sliced hot dog/sausage in the mac n cheese.

Could have been better....or was it over-hyped by others?

Don't get me wrong, you can't make a bad mac  n cheese...but I think all of us agreed that the dishes were not as hot as it should be.  Might have been sitting in the kitchen a little bit too long and by the time it got to us...the cheese wasn't as creamy as we hoped for.

This place is pretty awesome....if you make it here before the crowd starts lining up.  I was lucky enough to make it here within 15 minutes after the doors opened up and get my chicken apple & spices 'wurst' before the line got too long.  Topped off the dog with sauerkraut and sweet peppers and it was tasty!

It was a little too early for beer so I went the soda route and got their root beer. I think i just found my new favorite drink! The Manhattan Special Sarsaparilla Soda.....TRY IT!

I definitely need to come back and go down their selections of  'Exotic Grilled Sausages".

Yeah...I said it ;)

A few months ago, my lower back went out (yet-again) and I was in considerable pain and discomfort for a good week.  As my mind wonder why the hell did my back go out again, I realize I haven't been going to my chiropractor in Redwood city for a good 6 months. There's no way in hell I can make it to the office (I live & work in the city). I get off at 6, they close at 630. Blah! Time to find another reliable chiropractic office and "hopefully" they'll be awesome like Dr. Joe.

I was in pain...so I searched for the closest chiro office within a mile of my workplace.  Chiro-Health came up and I decided to make an appointment with them for the next day through their website.  They called within 30 minutes and told me to come in EOD instead.  Cool, that's awesome...get this lower back fixed pronto.

I walked in and was greeted by Dr. Dakoji. Seriously, I saw her and was thinking, she's a small woman...i'm not sure she's strong enough to crack my spine, etc. etc. I was wrong. She gave me a series of test and checked to see my balance and all that fun stuff.  She adjusted my back and helped loosen some aching muscles and the whole time, she was telling me what was wrong with me and my posture.
I'll be honest, in my mind, I was thinking...oh just fix my back..snap, crackle and pop it and be done with it.  After the adjustment, I thought I was done but I was wrong. She sat me down and told me I have to do some stretches and get some equipment to help loosen my back. HUH??

Yeah, I'll say after my first treatment, I didn't really listen to what she said and just thought I'll come back here one more time to loosen up my lower back and be done with this place.....

The next day....wow...i must say...my back feels a lot better...still tender and bruised....but better.

My next appointment, Dr. Dakoji notice my posture and movement is a lot better...but she quickly brought me back down to earth and told me there's a lot of work I still need to do.  She told me....I have bad posture, shoulder blades are not aligned, shoulder is too tensed...lower back is overworking...core muscles are super weak.  Damn, I just came here to relief some pain....(in my mind).

Throughout the next few visits, she started showing me more core exercises, how to use a foam roller, fitness balls for a chair, balance exercises and dyna-disk for the office chair. Damn...i don't want to do this. I don't want to spend more money on junk. But I went ahead and bought the foam roller that weekend to just try it out. It was painful and torturous the first few times using the roller. I follow the techniques she showed me for the foam roller exercises, and she kept showing me new techniques so I won't get bored of the same exercises. My legs and back started feeling looser and looser and Dr. Dakoji even notice I am getting better and better with my posture.

It's been almost 2 months now since I started seeing Dr. Dakoji consistently.  Even after all the torturous therapy and her strength training (dont let her size fool you), I look forward to seeing her for my adjustments and to learn more on how to stretch properly and build up my core muscles so my back will not go out on me again. It's one of my better decisions in my life to let her train me on how to activate and strengthen my core muscles and to give myself an opportunity to live a healthier life.  Dr. Dakoji...you rock!

A hidden gem in San Francisco that I admit I drive past countless times and didn't realize it existed on the busiest street in the city. Of course this place has only been open for about 4 months (how I know....because they don't have their alcohol license yet!)

Straight to the point....this place makes me miss the Carnival/Fair that I use to attend when I was younger.  The rides, ticket booths, fun games and cotton candy of fairs are fresh in my mind as I look around the decoration of the small restaurant.  Our waitress, Andrea, was extremely friendly and she made us feel welcome for our first time here.

For appetizers, we ordered the:
-Fireball (free range cinnamon sriracha buffalo wings with a side of cinnamon cream)
-Mac Attack (mac and cheese with some maple glazed bacon and small apple slices) and
-Sweet tots (sweet potato tots w/ bbq sauce).

Loved the mac attack and sweet tots....the sriracha buffalo wings were pretty good as well, just wasn't spicy enough for me.  But I can't really complain there (i'm a hothead).

For my entree, I ordered the Fried Chicken n Waffle Monte Cristo with a side of chips!!!!  Surprisingly, the chicken wasn't as dry as I thought it'll be and the waffles were fluffy in the first 5-10 minutes when the hot dish came out.  Smacked right in the middle of it was some raspberry jam and a side of maple syrup and ketchup.  I love this dish.  The side of chips added an extra touch to an already big dish.

Just wished they were able to serve some beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer!

Meh....since this place opened...nothing but long lines.  What makes it worst...service is slow...which makes the line move...super slow.

It was a bad experience to begin with...on their first day.  I was walking past here with Peter because we both know their first day and that they'll open soon.  We walked up to the door...and it was locked.  It was like about 12:55pm and the chef/boss inside gave the hand gesture..shoo shoo...go away...we're not ready.

Ok....fine...we went somewhere else for lunch.  We walked back about 15 minutes later and the door is open...saw a few people inside.  So we walked over and glance at the menu...wow...really? There wasn't even a Hello or welcome to sushirrito..we just opened.  Fine...whatever...we left.

Weeks gone by and we see lines everyday go around the corner.  Screw that...I'm not waiting in line for this.

About a month in, I finally saw the line short enough (barely blocking the front door to Crunch) and I was like...why not?

I think there was only 10-15 people in front of me...but it took me 25 minutes to order and get my food...what the he*!...you took away half my lunch break.  Sushi wrapped like a burrito..good concept...but damn...rice overload. Had the Three Amigos and their wasabi-mayo was simply....not extraordinary...it was more like...mayo-mayo.

I know i'll eventually come back here when my co-workers want to try it...and I know I will go down that menu.  But I'll wait until all the craze dies down first with no line or a better way to service the people waiting in line.

It doesn't kill you to get a few orders prepped by going down the line and ask what they want....right?  Wake up Sushirretardo.

What?? This place closes at 2:30!?  Damn...better get there fast and get a table for lunch!

Michelle brought me here to this place for our last lunch and I was able to find a parking spot right in front of the place. YES!!!! We got our name on the waiting list and scored a table within 20 minutes....at 2:02pm.  YES!!!!!

As I look around the restaurant, it remind me of the Disney movie Ratatouille! Very homely feeling and definitely got the French atmosphere in this little place.  Just a simple and elegant design that makes me want to visit France one day....one day.

So I look through the menu and everything is eggs...EGGS...EGGS!!!  I went ahead and ordered their COTE EST which have 2 scrambled eggs, bacon and a pancake of my choice. Well...I chose the Lemon Gingerbread pancake with poached pears.  OH MY....that dish was delicious.  I love it!!  The bacon was burnt to a crisp and was crunchy.  The pancake....it tasted great!!!  I didn't even need to pour that much maple syrup on it.  If I remember correctly, Michelle ordered the Sweet French bread (french toast..duh) and that was tasty as well and she threw a slice of it over to my dish.

Thanks for introducing me to another fine restaurant in the East bay...yums!
