I came here on a Friday night with my two best gal pals. We've never been here before, so it was fun to all experience it together for the first time. What a beautiful place. Very high class, perfect lighting, friendly bar tenders. (We didn't dine, we just enjoyed a few martinis and moscow mules.) Aside from the married middle aged men who kept attempting to hit on us, the crowd seemed well-mannered. Good people watching, needless to say. Be sure to doll yourself up and have a nice time.

Wow, where do I even begin.

My 13 friends and I gathered to celebrate three of our birthdays all on the same night since they were within days of each other. We made a reservation for 9:30pm and all showed up at about 9:10. Unfortunately it was a REALLY busy night and we did not get seated until 10pm. But because of the delay, the staff sent over three plates of meat, three plates of cheese and two carafes of wine. Fo' free. Hello? (:

They sat us in the private room, which normally would have a $20 per person charge, but they did not make us pay that either. Holy comps, batman... this place is already on my good side.

Aside from our adorable and kind waiter, the restaurant's host kept coming into the room to check on us and make sure our dining experience was on-point. Also, he seemed to notice a colorful theme in this room full of 13 fabulous men and, well, me. So he flipped the football on our TV to Bravo, which of course was showing Real Housewives. The room applauded.

We began to order food. The menu is set up with smaller plates, meant to share. There were many different tastes to please in our group so we ordered quite a bit of variety off the menu. I heard not one complaint! Everyone was very happy with the taste and quality of the food.

After we stuffed ourselves, we of course had to order some dessert. I was too full for dessert, but a few friends ordered some ice cream (or was it gelato?) and I had a few bites. SO yummy. Most of the table ordered limoncello or coffee, too.

Now the best part of the evening came right at the end (for lack of better term..ahem) when our lovely waiter--quite proudly--brought to our table (and placed right in front of me) the most realistic looking ice cream/banana phallus I have ever seen, complete with a lit birthday candle and, um, chocolate "shavings". After a tremendous bout of approving laughter we all sang happy birthday to each other, waiter and host included. What a fun ending to one of the most positive dining experiences I've ever had in Chicago.

I highly recommend Quartino for a large group. Family or friends, this place is sure to please.

What? I'm not even 30 years old and I wake up feeling as if there's a ping pong ball in my left foot and I can't walk. To try and offset the pain I purchased some dreadful slippers that I'm pretty sure are intended for nursing home use only. I needed to get this peculiar issue in my foot checked out ASAP!

I read the positive reviews for this office, as well as heard good things by word-of-mouth, so I gave them a call. The receptionist, Patrick, was cordial and polite and was able to fit me into an appointment a lot sooner than I expected. Upon visiting the office I was brightly greeted, filled out a little paper work, then went right into the exam room. Dr. Staehling listened to me explain my symptoms, then examined my foot. He thankfully reassured me I do not have a ping pong ball in my foot, rather, I've simply been neglecting the need for a good arch support in my flimsy summer shoes. How relieved I was knowing that I did not even need an xray, let alone something worse, such as surgery!

I've been wearing arch supports since the visit, and lo and behold, I can walk in the mornings and have done away with the bulky nursing home slippers. If I have any more problems in the future with my tootsies I will surely return.

I've taken a few Zumba classes before but nothing compares to Zumba instructed by Christa! It's a little more high impact than other classes so bring your water bottle and towel! The studio is bright and open and accommodates a lot of people, so get ready for a fun workout!

Freedom. Air planes. Bikinis. 'Merica.

Cozy up to some drunk, sand-covered strangers, Chicagoans. It's time for the Chicago Air and [What's In The] Water Show.

Don your umbrella hat and sunscreen, it's going to be a long day of sun, loud noise, cheering for freedom and references to George Bush. Hurrah!

I came here because I had the coupon deal thing. But I won't return. Don't get me wrong, the staff was nice. The lady who did my Brasilian was so sweet and very fast at what she did. But I think I'm allergic to the wax, or the strip, or the way they do it. Because, without trying to go into much detail here, let's just say the result was less than desirable, and a few -weeks- of pain and peeling skin followed. Never. Again.

Don't get pissy with me just because I want to return a product that makes my face super oily within an hour of application. If you don't want anyone to return things for a full refund, then call corporate and tell them to take that off the return policy printed on the receipt.

Aside from the attitude and lack of eye contact I received today upon returning what I purchased a couple weeks ago, there's definitely pressure to buy something right when you walk in and they start applying makeup to your face. I understand this is their job. But I think sometimes customers don't expect that sort of pressure.

It's a lovely, bright and clean boutique. Most Benefit products I've tried are wonderful, especially the cream eye shadow which does NOT crease or wear off even if you wear it all day and into the night. My friend got her eyebrows done there, she was satisfied. However, they told me I should try eye brow tinting. I have dark brown hair and thick, dark eyebrows. Doesn't make sense to me. (Sell, sell, sell!)

Shop here for fun, moderately priced makeup and skin care. But don't just go here to browse. Go here to shop. I have a feeling if you leave without buying you'll face a major attitude and stand-offish behavior from the staff.

Cousin's Incredible Vitality - CLOSED

I've never had raw food before. I was rather impressed. I think we need to see that food itself has flavor and body.. and all the processing and cooking sometimes isn't totally necessary. This is what Cousin's tries to get you to see and experience.

There are a lot of nuts. I think if someone has any sort of nut allergy they should look at the menu before they come here. They are creatively used, however. I never thought ground up cashews and coconut oil could make anything let alone a rock-star piece of cake. ("cheese cake")

I had the "Healer" juice...aloe vera, lemon, ginger, goji, cayenne pepper. Whew that opened up my eyes and nasal passages!

Dinner was very interesting. It was all new to me. I think I'll come back at some point. I can't see myself taking on this raw food lifestyle but its definitely good to partake once in a while. The dishes are really creative...the whole raw food lifestyle is. You should give it a try if you want something really different!

I came here for brunch with my mom and some other people. It was a lot of fun. We had a lovely drag queen sing show tunes for us, who doesn't like that?

The food is monstrous, you get what you pay for! However, that said, all the dishes have quite a bit of meat. I'm not sure if you can just order a al carte. I had the french toast, it was SO good.

$10 endless mimosas--WORTH IT!

Adorable atmosphere and decorations. Friendly wait staff. Get a reservation, this place fills up fast!

First of all I don't like writing reviews for places that are clearly not for vegetarians, but I feel if someone were in my situation (read further) they might want to know? I'll give 3 stars b/c I feel like I can't properly rate this place.

It was a birthday party for my very good friend, so I wanted to go and be a part of it. I'm not one of those veggies who will sit there and tell people around me to not order meat. I think, you eat what you want, I really don't care.

But if you have a weak stomach (which is partly why I became veg in the first place) maybe you should not come here...because people WILL order raw meat (its what ya do here!) and the meat WILL be bloody and juicy (to me, that's a giant EW factor..just my opinion, just my warning to those who feel the same..)

You *will* go home smelling like meat. You will.

Nothing on the menu is vegetarian besides edamame. (Some of the side dishes they brought out were probably vegetarian, but I wasn't sure what most of them were..) They were nice enough though to make me some white rice and steamed veggies in one of those stone bowls that stays really hot. There was another vegetarian in the party who ordered the same....

The waitress took a giant bottle of hot sauce and squirted it ALLLLLLLLL over his meal. ALLL oveerrrrrrr. Before he could say anything, no warning, nothing just hot sauce allll up in his food. A LOT of it. Then she attempted to do that to mine also but I saw what was happening and put my hands over the bowl. Jeez!

Be prepared to take off your shoes and sit barefoot with your feet hanging below the table in an area that's even hard for Danny Tanner to clean in between visits. Just sayin'.

My meat eating friends really enjoyed themselves. I didn't really. If you're veg I say skip it. Show owner comment »
