I was part of this group and have to say, I have never been more disgusted with the way that we were treated by the bartender and the manager.  It was truly disrespectful and unprofessional not just on a customer service level but also, they proceeded to  humiliate us in front of everyone including other customers, with snide remarks and escalating the conversation in a confrontational and potentially violent manner.  I will not only ever eat there again, I would never recommend this place to anyone for any reason.

I was part of this group so I'll second this post.

My group of friends and I will never return here.  We were treated with such disrespect, it was shocking.  We put our names down for 11 people on Saturday night and proceeded to the bar to wait.  After 9 out of 11 were there, we asked if we could go ahead and be seated.  The host, which we also believed now to be the manager, said we couldn't sit until our full party was there.  He was rude and surly about our situation the entire time.  We ex  plained that the others were on their way and would arrive shortly.  Unfortunately, this man was a total asshole about it.  He said no, we will not let you sit until the full party it here.  Ok, so there is a table set up in the back for 11 people and it's ready for us, but 9 of us can't sit at it until the others arrive?  Poor management, poor service.  

What sense does it make to not let us sit down when we are only waiting on two other people?  And the place was clearly not busy at all.  It seemed to me that the man, Rob, was just not interested in serving customers.  So, after he was an asshole to our whole group, we decided to wait it out and down a pitcher or two of margaritas at the bar.  

When we came to the bar, the bartender was terrible and just as rude as the manager.  First of all, it was none of his business to be interjecting in our conversation.  We were all a little upset at the poor treatment we had just received, and the bartender decided he would interrupt us and say that it's always been that way here at Ponak's.  So of course, all the men in our party were upset that the bartender was being a dick, so words were said back and forth.  Needless to say we did not spend our money at the restaurant because who would give these people their money after being treated like shit?  The bartender was arguing with us while asking how many glasses we needed, and then when things got a little more heated, he took the pitcher away from us!

Coming from a customer service background, I'm surprised the employees are allowed to get away with their complete disregard for customer service. « show less

I'm a long time customer due to their good food and great margaritas, but unfortunately I won't be a patron any longer.  Their staff has become increasingly rude.  The jerkoff bartender on Saturday night this weekend was the last straw.  

They need to learn to treat their customers better, else they won't have any left.
