Worst bar I've ever been to.

Expensive/uninspired drinks, rude management.

Great place for those who used to regular Spaghetti Warehouse. Show owner comment »

Overall, this is just an average bakery.. but it's the only one of it's kind in Austin.

My friends and I grew up on many of the options available at this bakery, which consists of classics such as "hot dog bread", egg custard bread, or "dried pork bread."

I guess you could think of this place as an asian kolache factory. Yes, that's the way to put it. Every bread has something sweet or savory inside it. Nothing glamorous, but it will fill you up.

If you didn't grow up on this style of bread, I would actually recommend to skip out on it and go straight for the egg tarts and mochi.

It seems that quality has gone down over the past few months.

The pho isn't too great anymore, the past couple times we went we had a luke warm broth with a very hard block of noodles. Their broth isn't as flavorful as before either.

The rice plates are very sloppy. They come with a huge mound of rice with a bunch of very dry and over cooked meat on top. I found myself struggling to finish my plate, putting all the sriracha, hoisin, and fish sauce that I could.

Homey interior, really responsive and polite service.

They have great pictures of most of the items on the menu if you're indecisive or don't know what to get. (you'll see what I mean when you get there, heh)

The #42 grilled pork w/ garlic vermicelli bowl (bun) is amazing... Smokey char grilled pork with onions on top of a hugeee helping of slightly warm vermicelli noodles, bean sprouts, lettuce. Put fish sauce, sriracha, hoisin, and a bit lime on that, and I'm pretty much in heaven for only $7.50.

The eggrolls are always super fresh, so hot that the only way to eat them is to wrap it with lettuce/cilantro and cool it off slightly by drenching them in nuoc mam.

$5 Large bowl of pho on Wednesdays from 7-9pm (normally $7~). I really like their broth, and the meat they put in is actually nice... finally some pho with thick and tender brisket. My only gripe is that the noodles tend to be... kind of 'blocky.' Would recommend #11 since it has it has all the good stuff: brisket, thin steak, tripe, and tendon.

Oh man, they have this killer old 90's alternative playlist as background music. This is my type of place.

A really great local camera shop. I've purchased several lenses for my DSLR, as well as a nice micro 4/3 camera from this shop.

The lens renting service is also quite nice, I rented a 85mm f/1.2 L lens for a good price.

The staff is usually super responsive and accommodating, unless its getting busy.

The thing is, I don't like their film development or prints very much. They're kind of pricey and not done as well as other places.

Going to skip my "must visit a place multiple times before reviewing" rule for this one.

Holy crap. This is an AMAZING bar. They have almost no local brews, but their selection of beers is excellent. For the most part their bartenders are knowledgable, and some of the crowd really knows their beer.

Their food is actually good despite the negative reviews for this place. I really enjoyed the beer cheese and salami baguette sandwich. The baguette is really tough and chewy, but beyond that, the beer cheese is really tasty, and the salami melts your mouth. I wasn't a fan of the garlic sausage, but the bratwurst was excellent.

I was actually blown away by some of the bartenders here. They are quite the passionate bunch, who will guide you towards a good brew. I tried an IPA from Ska, which was excellent and a great change from the usual Racer 5, Stone, 512, or dogfish 60 min. They also have some really rare and exotic half pints such as the Dellerium Noel, which both me and Phillip(awesome bartender) have never heard of, but enjoyed quite a bit. Also, they're very generous with samples, try any beer you have an interest in, with no guilt... It's a shame though that they don't serve their half pints in stemmed glasses... I dislike having to drink a 10%+abv beer from a half pint glass...

DO NOT get any local beers unless specifically recommended to do so, this is a place to try things from far away.

If you have no idea what to get, and are new to beer. Get any beer from Ommegang. Especially be on the look out for the Hennepin, Rare Vos, or Wit, and I would recommend that you get these on draft and not in a bottle. It's amazing to find a pub here in Austin that has 5 beers from that awesome brewery!

Apparently, their taps change so often that they can't even keep up with them on twitter or facebook, but I'd like them to at least make an effort to do so.

They have a bakery up stairs, from what I've seen they have killer pastries, the danish is quite awesome. Flakey, airy, and not too sweet.

GO. and go often.

This is definitely the best place to get Korean BBQ in Austin. WIthout a doubt. My Korean friend said it's even better than some places in Korea.

The owner is really nice and will answer any questions you have, or help you out if you're confused how to cook or eat the meal.

I would recommend that you order the preset meals for the size of your party. It comes with a ton of meat and side dishes, as well as a very authentic soup and even more stuff... To drink I'd get a cold glass of boiled cha. You'll definitely leave full or stuffed.

Skip on the buffet, it's a trap.

Again... this place is absolutely amazing. Highly recommended.

Most of the people who work here are really nice and know what they're talking about, but there are a few(just one so far) exceptions. The atmosphere is really nice and inviting.

They have quite a variety of brews from Stone, Dogfish head, Real Ale, Brew Dog... and just a few from local breweries.

It's a really nice place to finish off the day for a night cap, since a lot of their beer seems to be served in a 8oz glass. So you'll get a lot of flavor with less volume.

Their taps change a lot, so all I can say is... drop by and try some beer. Try the Victory Yakima Glory if it's still there, or if you're new to beer... the 60 minute IPA from dogfish head. If you're bringing a date or friend that will not drink beer for the life of them, they have really tasty cocktails that tend to be sweeter, and a small wine list.

Their food is okay, I had the sausage sandwich(can't remember the name), which wasn't that great, but their burgers and fries(especially with the aioli) are quite good. If you just feel like having finger food, the almonds and olives are a solid choice as well.

All in all, a great place that's close to campus, which is quite rare.

A great bar. Beats the pants off of flying saucer.

Their selection features a lot of local brews from 512, live oak, and saint arnolds. I'm also glad that I can walk in and order anything that I feel like that day whether it be a saison, IPA, belgium, or something new.

The bartenders are all really cool and know what they're talking about, so don't be afraid to ask and experiment with a new beer.

If you're totally clueless on what to order, just get a racer 5 IPA or any beer from 512.

Less crowded version of Asia Cafe.

All the same staple dishes done the same way: spicy fish, ma po tofu, pork blood + intestines(so good!), hot pot.... go and compare the menu's for yourself.

This place is quite clean and can sit larger parties. Service is generally friendly, and I believe it's cash only.

I think their rice plates are really good, I would recommend the chargrilled pork one.  Their pho is comparable with other places like Pho Danh, Tan My, and Kim Phung... but still not as good as places in Houston.

Give them a try.
