The Ocoee Cafe is a staple among locals. Ocoee's mayor "Mayor Scott" was walking out as my friend and I were walking in.
The food tends to be southern-ish and could be described as "comfort food". I had lunch there, but I think it's more of a breakfast place. I got the grilled ham and cheese with a side of chili that was on special. The sandwich was tasty, but a little on the greasy side. The chili was good but not great and could have used a little more flavor.
The service was really good - we were attended to fast and the food came out quick. Our server and the others working there were very attentive and nice.

House Blend is a great little place to eat. The food is a cut above and they also do a great job serving the community. I've eaten there several times and every time the food has been really good. They currently have a lunch special menu for $4.69 with 7-8 items, so this makes for a great deal.
I can personally recommend the Beans and Rice, the Pulled Pork Sandwich and the Chicken Supreme - all delicious.
I highly recommend House Blend Cafe. For what you would spend at some nasty fast food joint, you can get high quality, great food. And you're helping the community!

Firehouse is the best fast-food sub place around. The Hook and Ladder is my personal favorite, but the Steamer and Club are great also. My friend suggested topping off my "fully involved" Hook with Capt Sorenson's sauce. This is a semi-spicy bbq sauce. I didn't think it sounded very good, but I tried it and it was delicious. The people at this particular Firehouse are super-friendly and helpful. They always greet me by name and give great service.

I can't say enough good things about this place. Forget Sonny's, forget Bubbalou's, this is the real deal. I've had the pulled pork, burnt ends, pulled chicken - all incredible. They also have a unique selection of side items - cheese grits, fried pickles, fried okra. The portions are pretty big, so come hungry. The outdoor (covered) seating stays surprisingly cool during the day. I had been hearing people rave about the Winter Park location so I'd been looking forward to this opening and it did not disappoint. Best bbq around!
Almost forgot - they have a crazy dessert selection as well - cupcakes, cakes, puddings - all beautifully displayed right where you check out.

King Cajun Crawfish

This is pretty legit Cajun. I had the jambalaya with hush puppies on the side. It was just the right amount of spicy and was very delicious. My friends had shrimp and crawfish and both enjoyed theirs.

This is a great little place - and locally, family owned. The owner took my order and was very friendly and helpful. I got the hot roast beef sandwich with chips and a drink. The roast beef was super-delicious - I'll definitely go back for it. The menu had several other things I'd like to go back and try also. It's bigger than it looks from the outside. I recommend this place for anyone looking for a great sandwich place.

I've eaten here many times, but I'll review this occasion. Went there for lunch with 5 others. The service was really good. I got the Grilled Zingers Salad. It was pretty average. Granted, the regular (fried) Zingers are outstanding, but I'm watching fat/calories. There wasn't much flavor to the grilled zingers and the sauce soaked the underlying lettuce, making the last few bites of salad not-too-great. If you're not concerned with calories, get the Zingers - they're really good.

Insanely good food - I've had 4-5 different things there and they're all super-delicious. This isn't run-of-the mill food, it's sandwiches, salads, and soups created by a culinary pro. Very cool atmosphere also - it's an old restored house. People that work there are all really cool. Bonus entertainment value if Fish the owner is there.

It's about what you'd expect - (Americanized) Chines Fast Food, although a little better than the others in this category. I sampled the spicy shrimp, which was very tasty. I went with the Chow Mein with String Bean Chicken and Orange Chicken. The string beans actually tasted fresh. A big plus for me is the China Mist tea - very good. All in all, a good lunch at a reasonable price.

I'd have given this a 4 stars had the lady behind the counter exuded one iota of customer service. She came across as hostile. No "thank you", no smile, and not friendly at all. I was planning on buying an iced tea refill (free refills ONLY for large drinks) but I really didn't feel like dealing with her again.
I'll probably go back because I love bbq, the pork really was good and their prices are good. If I get the same service next time, however, it will be the last.
There are 3 other good BBQ places in town that have good food and great service. I'm hoping Uncle Kenny's recognizes this and steps it up.
