ravioli with grilled radicchio and a citrus cream sauce: incredible (grilled radicchio was the star here)
blue bottle mocha cheesecake: insanely delicious
blue bottle coffee: perfect as always
great waiter and beautiful atmosphere.
Eat lunch on the terrace overlooking the Santa Cruz mountains with good company and you'll be beyond satisfied.

the decor is fabulous, waitstaff also had to grow on me, but in the end i was pleased.
the crust on their butterfish is the first authentic italian detail i noticed. it's the little things that make a girl raised on authentic italian food impressed. i can't recall ever tasting the result of this technique anywhere except a relative's home. the gnocchi with pesto, out of this world. the weight of the gnocchi and the consistency of the pesto was divine. focccia with oozing cheese was dreamy. the fried donuts and coffee sealed the deal for me.
