Super duper. We had a really fun dinner with a smoking mini-habachi appetizer, another decent app and then a really delicious ravioli entree. We capped it off with a killer chocolate cake topped with curry ice-cream...
The decor is so cool it could carry the restaurant, but it doesn't need to because the food, service and general vibe is all pitch-perfect.

My first meal at Salt House was via a holiday lunch for our executive team. Good atmosphere and servcie. Nice menu including some really great apps. Their bergamot tea was out of this world. Interested enough to go back for dinner.

What fun! We attended their 10pm improv show and were laughing through most of it. Really brilliant actors whose minds work rapidly to adapt and make people laugh without any prepartion, right before your eyes.
We'll definitely return!

Thank you Tacolicious for saving the evening for us. After a fail by GRUB who took our reservation on OpenTable for Friday evening but was actually closed...we were fortunate to be welcomed with an immediate table at Tacolicious across the street.
What a nice surprise. I can't say I would have ever tried this place, but now I will go back. We had a tuna appetizer and two different tacos. All were mouthwateringly delicious. The service was fantastic too.
Sorry GRUB, your cool menu will not be enough to lure me back, especially when Tacolicious is right across the street.

The Moss Room

Wow. Not sure how I've missed this since I can actually walk to it from my apartment, but it will now be my go-to place in the Sunset. Every dish we ordered was insanely delicious. Can't remember the last time that has happened anywhere! We were contemplating licking the plates. The service was probably the best I've had in years. The wine was generously poured. And the atmosphere...so cool. Attention friends: I'll be campaigning for The Moss Room until my receptors become saturated, which may be never. I heart the California Academy of Sciences.

I wanted to love the food, but it was lacking. The atmosphere, service and menu options were all great. But when we started tasting the 4 apps/mains we ordered, I kept waiting for a wow-factor or an understated example of excellence and it just wasn't there. To be fair, one of the two desserts we had was great. Perhaps the bar has been set too high by all of the amazing food we've eaten all over the city or the food we cook at home is just pretty great, not sure what the problem was here. When a restaurant gets as much publicity as Cotogna has, boasting all of their research into Italian cooking, I expect to taste authentic Italian (modern) cooking and this just wasn't authentic, ancient or modern.

Zero Zero

Authentic with a twist. The Albacore crudo was insanely good. The fried squash blossoms disappeared quickly and the pizza was just like being in Napoli. Ricotta filled fried donoughts with ice cream and caramel sauce was the perfect ending to a perfect meal.

My gauge on Italian food is simple. If it reminds me of my childhood at my Grandma Nicastro's table then I give it 5 stars. This did. Mind you, my grandma used to tell us we were having rabbit for dinner and then she would go outside and select one from the rabbit house, kill it, clean it up and start cooking it. Locanda sort of reminded me of that. I'll definitely be back.

Delicious, fresh, and inventive. I love flowers so when they appear in two of the dishes, I know I'm in for a treat. We ordered 5 dishes and all were perfect. I loved the laid back vibe too. Perfect place to enjoy a great shared meal and catch up over a great glass of wine. The fact that they're in my hood tempts me to give them 5 stars.

We've used Good Lunch several times for both large groups and smaller lunches. The food always arrives on time and in perfect condition. The piece that makes this a home-run is that we actually get to order in food from restaurants we love. The selection of high-end, trendy, local, organic options means we are always trying the latest and greatest while still being able to conduct meetings in the office. When you're trying to impress your clients or partners, asking them to select from the menu at Thermidor, 54 Mint, Barbacco or Slow Club definitely gets the job done. When time is a factor and you can't leave the office but you also can't imagine another boring sandwich, Good Lunch is the perfect answer.
