Her shop is nice and Alice is even nicer! She'll definitely give your dog great love and attention besides a new hair cut.
Though I know I'm a little partial because she is my sister, I believe you will agree with me, so set an appointment today! Take a look at the website for some pictures of her shop and even some dog grooming before and after pictures.
No boarding and no cats!
Some friends and I stopped here during a bar tour around Baltimore, MD. Though this was years ago, I would still love to venture into this place again.
The bar was absolutely packed and so was the karaoke bar. Even with this, I was still able to get a beer pretty quickly plus some karaoke.
I don't remember exactly what I tried... but it was good. If you are a beer lover or not, you have to come here. If you're unable to find a beer you like here... well, you'll just never find one. They pretty much have everything.
My girlfriend and I came in town to visit and look at homes. This place was suggested to us by a friend and usual patron.
Though the portions are large and the prices are very cheap, I did not enjoy the food that much. Of course, this is off of one experience and a usual Chinese dish for me.
Tso's Chicken, Fried Rice, Hot and Sour soup and a separate order of spring rolls. Egg rolls came with it, but I wanted some spring rolls.
The spring rolls were not that tasty to me and the hot and sour soup just wasn't up to par. The chicken was a too soggy for me and it just wasn't even close to the best I had, let alone the average for what I like.
Chinese is pretty much a bad habit of mine as i'm not able to really call it anything else... if you can kill yourself with it, I'm definitely going to find out. So yeah, I've had a lot of it all around the U.S. and this place just isn't up to my standards for schwaggy chinese. Sorry!
Yet $5.50 for tso's chicken, fried rice, egg roll and soup is pretty sweet.

New Orleans Style Seafood Poboys
Category: Sandwiches
So yeah, I've ate here multiple times and I love their poboys.
Usually my order is either a roast beef, fried shrimp or oyster. They are always really good. As far as d'iberville goes, this is the best place for poboys... as almost any vietnamese poboy place is. They seem to be the only ones still serving old Biloxi style poboys without trying to cut costs.
At one time, Fayards was the only place I would eat a poboy. Once things were taken over by the son and the location in d'iberville shut down/torn down... things just were not the same.
Anyway, my suggestion is to order a roast beef and a barqs in the bottle. That's the only way to have a true Biloxi poboy experience.
btw... bring cash.
The place is pretty rustic looking and had a decent amount of people when we walked in. When you pay for the meal, you have to tell them the type of meat that you want, they cut it up and serve it. I personally had some sausage and brisket... and the brisket was fantastic! So much flavor and sauce wasn't necessary. Though the sauce was also pretty good.
They also had a few bars with different items... just the usual BBQ items. All of which were good and so was dessert. I definitely recommend the place if you're hungry and driving through.
I would say that this place is really good for the money and location. They definitely beat the BBQ I've had in Austin, though that is not saying that much.

There are so many places in Austin that only do karaoke and I would much rather go there.
Other than that, this place seems to be a cool sports bar, though it really lacks on the food. There is a food service, but it is just simple items and a family setup on the side with warming tables and a microwave.
I've never played pool here, but they seem to have a good deal of tables.
Overall, I would say the place is almost a dive, but not quite there. They do make good drinks, sometimes... other times, the staff seems to be incompetent.

Home Slice Pizza

This place is just not good...
Their pizza crust is not that tasty and the flavor of their sauce is so bland... like straight out of a can kind of bland. I like the whole idea of down with the corporate man... but not by patronizing local businesses that give out a worse product with no true style and drive behind it. The food that is... the place looks cool, but the food just isn't special.
NY style pizza? yeah right. The only true place to get NY pizza is New York... anyone who tells you different has never had pizza in NY.

Izzoz Tacos

When I moved here, everyone told me about Torchy's tacos, including people that were no longer living in the area. Though Torchy's is creative, I just didn't quite like them... perhaps their quality is sliding faster than people are aware?
Anyway, Izzoz... great food, cool location. I don't really know what else to say... other than I've been there a few times and I'm extremely pleased with every visit.

Texas Chili Parlor
Category: American (Traditional)
Neighborhood: Downtown
We had the chili cheese burger and the chili dog.
My chili dog actually came with some of the best homemade potato salad I've ever had. Awesome stuff!
I know I've had brisket chili at some point in my life, but I don't remember when... regardless, it was pretty tasty.
Their prices are fair and they make a good margarita on the rocks.
Also, they gave us some homemade salsa to go with the chips I ordered as a side item. The salsa was honestly really good.
The place is rustic looking and the staff seemed to be pretty nice and attentive.

Since my original hometown is close to Alabama, I used to hit Mellow Mushroom pretty often. The pizza there is absolutely fantastic and they take great pride in them. In the last few years, a location has opened in Ocean Springs, MS and I say the same thing, great pizza.
I don't know what's going on with this location... They seem to be slow and the pizza is still a far cry from it's parents to the east.
