First off, for anyone who has been to Pizza Hut, you know what there pizzas taste like, so Pizza Boy already has an advantage. Another advantage to Pizza Boy is the price. At Pizza Boy i can order a large three topping pizza for $11.99 (using their online coupon). The ingredients are fresh and the crust is soft with a light crunch. It is a really delicious pizza. They do charge $2.00 for delivery, but you can still get a superior pizza for a great price.
One of the best parts of Pizza Boy is that you can have them deliver you Chicken Wings, Salad, Garlic Bread and best of all, Sandwiches!! Sick of pizza, but are too lazy to leave the house. Order a delicious sandwich!! I have had the Meatball Sub which was good, but i really prefer their Ham and Cheese. It is a sub on fresh toasted bread. It is really good and hearty. I ordered a Sandwich, large Anti-Pasta salad and two pieces of Cheese Cake and the bill came out to less than $20 and that includes the delivery fee.
I also recommend you trying their Potato Wedges! They are really good and come with a side of Pizza Boy's own homemade Ranch Dressing! Very good.
Last week on my way home from work i decided to do a pick up order for Pizza Boy and went into the restaurant. It was surprisingly nice inside. Pizza Boy is in a gross strip mall in a crap part of town, but the interior is really nice and i would actually go in to eat.
In the end i have decided to never order from Pizza Hut ever again. Their product just doesn't compare to Pizza Boy. I would say that the pizza isn't as good as say Round Table, but for the price, you cannot beat Pizza Boy in Anaheim!!
Try it, you shouldn't be disappointed.

Frontier Pies of Idaho Falls
Category: American (Traditional)
I have to be honest with you, i really liked Frontier Pies. Considering that this location was attached to a gas station, i had preconceived ideas about the quality of food and i was wrong.
I had ordered a bacon burger with tater tots on the side and it was probably the best burger i had during my whole trip! Since i was not sure of the quality of the food, i decided to play it safe by ordering the burger, but in hindsight i was jealous of everyone else's decisions.
The food was good, the service was great and the waitresses were really friendly. Great prices, great food and Pie to go!
I will probably never be in Idaho again, but if i do, i will stop at Frontier Pies!

Moochie's Meatballs and More
Category: Sandwiches
We were on a road trip heading to Montana and had to stop by Salt Lake City on the way there. We found out about Moochie's on the way up and was started to get excited about meatballs. When you are on the road, in the snow for as long as we were, you start getting excited about pretty much anything. When we got to Moochie's they were closed! Bummer.
Luckily we had to stop in Salt Lake City on the way back, which is great, because now i can write a review on Moochie's.
Even though we had eaten only a few hours ago, we knew that we weren't going to get another shot at this place in a long time, if ever. So we got our Meatball Sandwiches to go and ate them back at the hotel room later.
Even though a couples of hours had past since we ordered our food, the Meatball sandwich held up with little to no sogginess. I was very pleased with Moochie's Meatball Sub and would love to go back, unfortunately there is nothing else in Salt Lake City for me to do.
One of the best parts of the sandwich was the bread. It was toasted, but was not hard on the outside. The bread had a nice chewiness to it and was really fresh. It was really soft bread.
Another highlight to the sandwich is the Jalapeño sauce that you can get on the side. Be sure to say 'yes' when they ask if you want it! It is on the spicey side, but is really good with any of your meatballs that fall out of the sandwich, which brings me to the only downside.
These sandwiches are messy! I am not against messy food, that's why Jesus invented water and towels. When i opened my sandwich, it looked like a scene out of Scanners! As you can see from my picture, the sauce is everywhere and there was cheese all over the place. This isn't a big downside, i am just warning you if you are the white glove type.
All in all, i am super fired up for being able to stop at Moochie's. It was a great place, fun atmosphere and the guys behind the counter were really nice.
If you are stuck in the middle of Salt Lake City, i would say it is a must!

Roy's Hawaiian Fusion
Categories: Hawaiian, Asian Fusion
Unfortunately they did not have any of the three items that i was looking forward to.
First up i looked for my main entrée. They did not have the delicious Meatloaf that i got at the other Roy's so i decided that it was not a big deal, seeing how i was in the mood for something else. I thought nothing of it.
I was not interested in getting an appetizer, due to the fact that i wanted a Wedge Salad. This was actually the one thing that i really craved when setting foot in the door of the Anaheim location. The Wedge Salad at Roy's in Oahu was so delicious i even thought about just getting that for dinner, but it was not an option in Anaheim. I thought for sure of all the things that they would have, the Wedge Salad would be one of them.
I decided not to get an appetizer, but decided i would just eat my entrée and get a dessert for myself.
My entrée was a really delicious Filet Mignon. It was tender and cooked to my exact specifications. I always forget that Filet Mignon is really small, but for some reason i felt that the one i got in Roy's was extra small. It may just be me. I am not a Filet Mignon connoisseur so i could be totally wrong on the size being too small. Maybe it was the $31 price tag that made me think it would be bigger. I thought about getting the $35 Ribeye, but the main appeal of the Filet Mignon was the Horseradish sauce described on the menu. It just sounded better than the BBQ Sauce mentioned on the Ribeye. The sauce turned out to be really good, i just wish i had more meat to sop it up with.
The Au Gratin Potatoes that i got as a side were really good, but i know for a fact that these were too small. They were a short stack of thinly sliced potatoes, roughly the size of one of those dehydrated towel discs that expand in water. They were covered in cheese and really good, but way too small. I guess you don't want your side to be bigger than entrée.
Since i was going to get my very own dessert i figured that i probably should worry about the size of my meal. But the third strike in reliving my Hawaiian experience happened when the menu did not include the Peanut Butter Soufflé. Dammit!! I was really looking forward to that Soufflé as well!! I ended up getting a regular Chocolate Soufflé. Don't get me wrong, it was delicious, but not what i wanted. Considering that i did not get anything that i wanted up until that point it made me a bit sad. I sat there wanting to know what i did to deserve this.
It's not Roy's of Anaheim's fault for me being disappointed, it's my own for expecting something they weren't.
All in all i had a great time. The atmosphere was great as was the food. Even though it was on the small side, i guess i could take a cue from Roy and maybe not eat so much in the future. Roy's is quality over quantity and the quality was outstanding.
The silver lining of this tale, is that Roy's of Anaheim made my experience at Roy's in Ohau a totally unique experience. I just wish i had bigger meat.
Last Saturday was the first time i went to D-Dubs in probably five years and it was exactly the same as i remember. Between the friendly faces and Terry's wonderfully constructed sandwiches, i am going to make sure that i never go to Subway ever again in my life!
My Dagwood #2 was incredibly fresh. The bread was as soft as it could be. The lettuce was cold and crisp. There was just the right amount of peppers and italian dressing. Not too soggy and not dry at all. I can't believe i ate the whole thing, but i wanted to savor the whole sandwich!!
DW's is THE definition of Mom and Pop Store and i will support D-Dub's for as long as i live in the Southern California area. I just may have to go this Saturday as well.
Be sure to get a Slush and make sure you get there early enough to snag a Chocolate Chip Cookie!! They are excellent!!
We caught our waitresses between shifts and they both helped us out throughout our entire meal.
Our iced teas and bread were refilled multiple times and they made sure we were happy.
The food was pretty good for the price. Even tough it seemed a bit steep, I did get two bowls of soup with my dinner not to mention non stop breadsticks.
You made our evening a little bit better.
Great job!
The silver lining: once our server came to our table we got incredible service...at Olive Garden.

Catch a Flave- Disney's California Adventure
Category: Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt
It's so good, that it softens the blow of having to be at Disneyland. If it weren't for Grape soft serve and the Mint Juleps i would never set foot in Disneyland.
Dang, now i want to go to Disneyland to pick up a Grape Cone!!
Being part of their E-Club, i was sent a coupon for a buy one entree and receive a breakfast entree for free! Not one to pass up a free meal, we decided to go to Ruby's for breakfast. I was not disappointed.
I picked up the breakfast sliders, which were eggs, cheese and a breakfast meat on three King's Hawaiian Rolls. The meat choices were Bacon, Sausage, Ham and Veggie Sausage. I asked if i could get multiple meats on my sliders and they happily obliged. One of my concerns about the sliders is that the cheese was not as melted as i would have liked. Also there was no condiment on the sandwich, which left them on the dry side, but it wasn't anything my Vanilla Coke couldn't wash down.
The Sliders came with a healthy side of potatoes. They were O'brien style potatoes and were really good. I recommend getting a side of sour cream to go with them. Or you can just have your wife get an omelette with sour cream and steal some from her!
The food was pretty good considering this is not primarily a breakfast place. We were in and out quickly, it was a pleasant environment and my vanilla Coke was refilled faster than i could drink it. All and all, it was a great breakfast and the perfect alternative to your average busy breakfast joints like IHOP or Denny's.
Unfortunately it was too early for me to enjoy a shake. I guess i will have to go back for dinner!

I wanted to eat something really manly and really greasy. I wanted to eat something that was going to put me in a coma and Waikiki Hawaiian Grill had what it took to fulfill my goal!
When i was in Hawaii last September i tried a Loco Moco from the Rainbow Drive In (see my Yelp! review) and i could not think of anything more destructive, yet so satisfying.
Waikiki Hawaiian Grill seemed a little bland on the inside. The atmosphere looked very cookie cutter. The Menu pictures looked like they were taken from somewhere else, the "theme" inside the restaurant was boring and uninspired. In fact the actual setup of the facility looked like it was slapped together. This place did not look like it was meant for food services, which is why everyone there was getting everything to go. I was on a mission, so i decided that i was not going to wait another minute by escorting my cardiac platter all the way home.
So i had to make an alteration to my order, because Waikiki Hawaiian Grill does not serve their Loco Moco on rice. They serve it on Cabbage. Sorry Waikiki, that cabbage is not in the cards. So i ordered my food and decided to get a can of Guava nectar. My total came out to $9 and change. I thought it seemed a bit steep, but by this point my stomach was growling and i needed to fill it with food.
My meal came in a styrofoam container, which i though was strange since i ordered it for dining in. But when i lifted the tray i realized why it was in that container and why i paid so much for my meal. There is no way that Waikiki expects anyone to be able to eat this meal in one sitting. I did not have a scale on hand, but i am pretty sure this thing weighed in at about 3 or 4 pounds. Well played Waikiki...but i am on a mission.
I opened my container to see what the situation was. Holy moses those are two very big Hamburger Patties and they are on a very huge bed of rice. Good thing there is also another scoop of rice on the side to go with this monstrosity, not to mention the scoop of Macaroni Salad. Alright, i knew right off the bat i was in way over my head, but i felt i would have let myself down if i didn't give it a fighting chance...
....Darkness warshed over the Dude....
So i got pretty far in. I did not finish the last third of the second hamburger patty. So close. I made my way to my car and headed home, victorious... or was it defeated? Either way, i went home and fell asleep on the couch for an hour.
Thank you Waikiki Hawaiian Grill for fulfilling exactly what i set out to do. Your food was delicious.
