Tower Beer Wine & Spirits

The BEST liquor store anywhere near Atlanta, period. If you've heard of it, they have it, and if they don't they'll order it for you, no matter what it is. If you're a Scotch lover like me, prepare for a surprise, they have more on the shelf Scotch selections than anyone else, and that's true for other stuff as well, whiskey, bourbon, rum, you name it. The place is super organized with everything easy to find, it's also clean, no dirty brown rugs at every corner like you're used to seeing in the neighborhood hole, it's well lit and the isles are large enough to move around with carts or baskets. The staff is very well trained and knowledgeable on anything you'd like and they stock a ton of party things to, from flasks and mixing cups to plastic cups, wine caps, and mixing sticks. Truly a one stop shopping experience. Their beer and wine selection is huge too, plenty of obscure, hard to find stuff readily available.

Not pleased at all. For starters, drinks here have no prices on the menu (so you don't decide to get water instead), but when you do order a cocktail it's basically water anyway. I was with a big party who all had different drinks, no one tasted any alcohol, period. Sad when you have to water down your drinks, but worse when you charge $10 or more for them. That alone is lame and the reason I won't ever go back. I don't mind paying for alcohol, but if I'm not getting any than to hell with even trying.
Food was decent, well cooked but the mashed potatoes were as dry as a chalkboard. My other party goers enjoyed the cheesecake, I'm not a dessert eater though so I refrained.
They offer valet parking only which pissed me off too, I don't like handing my keys over to some punk so he can make copies of them and then go rob me the next day while I'm at work.

This place is absolutely amazing, hands down. I've been twice and both times was blown away by the quality of the food, the speed and courtesy of the service, and the great choice of beers. Whether you're at the bar with a friend or dining with someone special, you'll find the ambiance just right, quiet, dimly lit, well decorated. It's large inside with a big patio out back, plenty of room for parties of numerous people. The food though is why you go, and it's simply the best Italian anywhere, period. Ample parking with a huge abandoned lot out back, check the hours before going though as they open late, but stay open late too.
If you're a beer lover, and I mean real beer, not that Bud crap, this is your place. Microbrews, rare imports, big bottle, multipacks, stuff I've never heard of, it's all here. You won't find a better selection that's more organzied anywhere else in Atlanta. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable in their products and eager to help point in the right direction. Pricing is fair based on their overhead, and honestly you can't argue paying any price for something you won't find anywhere else. Parking is tricky the first few times, but there's street parking at night which helps. The 5 Seasons Brewery is right next door, so check out both and make it a real good night.

Finally! I got tired of driving to Alpharetta. This one is close by, brand new, and well set up. Just like the other locations the food is pricey, but it's good. The beer though is why you come here, and they brew a very wide selection, all really good. Their Scotch selection is vast too, which for me is something to never gripe about.

You will pee laughing in here. You may also pee drinking, as they offer a beer bucket which is really great. I'd say more, but I'm also drunk when I go in. Can't be bad though if I keep going back.
Very good food, friendly staff, good drink selection. They just recently revamped the place and the patio seems to be gone right now, hope that changes. The patio was the best part. Otherwise they have a really good pizza and plenty of toppings not found elsewhere.

Huge selection of beer. Huge bar. Huge patio. Huge place overall. But, huge amount of douchebag thugs frequent this place, enough to make it downright depressing to go inside. The bartenders are all friendly, easy going, but you can't get away from the hoodlums who seem to live here 24/7. If the bar is great but the patrons suck, the bar sucks. Sad too, it's close by and I'd eat here more if it wasn't so run down already.
Worst restaurant experience I have ever had, hands down.
I went with a group of about eight people. The place was nice, well set up, but it just wreaked of expensive right through the door, and after a look at the menu I choked a bit. Dang. We all ordered and awaited appetizers, which seemed slow to come out. One finally made it, the other never arrived. The food did though finally, and my steak was more raw than if it had been still alive. I requested it go back to be cooked medium rare, no apology or anything, and waited. And waited. By the time everyone else was done I was livid, and as the check arrived I asked if my meal was ever going to follow it. Again, no apology, the waitress left and soon after brought my steak, now charbroiled to a black chunk of coal. I had enough, asked for a manager, who took forever to arrive too. He was slightly more concerned but still in the notion that everyone else got their food, why should I complain that I didn't? He didn't even suggest to comp the steak either, which I flat out told him I wasn't paying for, especially since I didn't eat the damn thing. He offered to have another brought out, and that made the rest of the group I was with laugh out loud, as they were all done, had paid, and had keys in hand. He comped it finally and I left with a few slurs under my breath.
Even if I had gotten a good piece of meat, the price was so stupidly high it couldn't have been remotely good. No thanks.

Just like their cousin the Universal Joint, this place is a patio type bar that begs people to sit outside. Easy too, since inside it's pretty tiny. Same menu and beer selection as the U Joint, meaning good food prepared fresh and beers that aren't cheap junk.
