4 stars for the Loaded Baked Potato Pizza. You. Must. Get. This. Pizza. There is no substitute. BUT the Ruby Rae is a highly underrated za. The upside down pizza pie with the red sauce on top is fresh, spicy and reminded me of Italy.
2 stars for service (wanna be hipster/hippie attitude).

FUN FUN FUN.
Loved the crowd, polka band and atmosphere. Polka dancing on a Friday night? YES PLEASE.
The bartenders were a bit cranky - but whatever.
Seriously in my top 5 "going out" places in Minneapolis now.

gross - don't.
Sorry to ruin the reviews - I wasn't so wooed.
Group of 10-12 of us sat in the bar area. We mostly ordered off the bar menu including the infamous Vincent Burger. It was dry and was smothered in something that reminded me a bit of mayonnaise (ewww).
The salad in sub of fries was b-o-r-i-n-g. I did sneak a bite of someone's fries and they were yummy.
The rest of the group seemed underwhelmed too :( Overall a bit stiff in price and clientele.

YES YES YES.
I've been driving by this place for a year. Finally - I brought in 3 pairs of pants with ripped hems (damn heels), 1 pair that needed a new zipper and a shirt with a hole. Old Amy would have thrown these away and bought new - but New Fiscal Amy got them fixed instead.
$30
And done in 3 days. Super quality work. Friendly family run business.

My dog Lucy = my family, my daughter, etc. Lucy likes to eat all sorts of things...food, crab apples, greenies...and also things she shouldn't like rat poison and mysterious things under the deck. Enter frantic mom (me) and Oak Knoll (savior, vet).
They understand my crazy, pleaseseelucythisminute frantic calls. They treat her so well, coo at her just like I do, and make me feel comfortable leaving her for her various stomach pumps, surgery's, teeth cleanings and shots. The prices are reasonable and the staff is amazing.
100 stars.

Over-priced, over-hyped meat market. Ugh. BOOOOOO SLP - why, why, why can't we just have a non-chain open? Food was over dressed, under-seasoned and over cooked. The wait staff was completely unaware of everything on the menu.
1 star for the Surly on tap. 1 more star for the people watching.

ShowPlace ICON Theatre at The West End
I was lucky enough to snag some VIP tickets to the New Moon showing at ShowPlace West End. They completely took VIP to a new level for a theater. Our group of 10 was ushered upstairs to the bar/restaurant area and greeted by our server who made sure we were taken care of at all times.
Since drinks were included in this special showing so a fantastic martini was made for the event - drinks were fast and they were good. The apps were...BACON POPCORN...YES!!!!!!! Along with a portebella sandwich on foccocia, meat skewers and bruscetta. All were great.
The managers came by several times to make sure we were having a good time. We were.
The theater - HUGE screen - I think it was 63 feet. The seats were comfy, big and leather with little tables to set your drinks on during the show (you can have a glass of wine or cocktail during the movie).
I think it's an extra $5 to sit in the VIP area - but defiantly worth it since it's 21+ and really comfy seats. Perfect date night on a cold winter night :)

TOP NOTCH. This place exceeded my high expectations for a hyped-up restaurant. We were lucky enough to snag reservations for 7:30 on Friday - and were seated immediately. Our server was fantastic - no pretentious attitude, was super knowledgeable, cool and efficient.

Hubby and I went for a late brunch and were pleased with no wait and fast service. I had the Chilaquiles: crispy tortilla strips, black beans, 2 eggs, salsa, lime crema. I love beans but it was like a bean explosion :)
My hubby loved his biscuits and gravy and finished them in like 2.5 minutes!
