Little Alley Tapas Bar & Restaurant
Category: Tapas Bars
Samosas (a little dry but still edible)
Chicken Tikka Masala (great)
and Lamb Korma (I think?) (great)
of course with the requisite naan and rice.
I was pleasantly surprised with the food. It was really good!
The restaurant itself was nice, and they played Bollywood movies on a flat screen which added a nice touch. :) The waiters were cordial and attentive... and it wasn't very expensive. We will definitely be back.
The only downside is that during our meal it started hailing (golf ball sized!). Fun stuff for a first date... maybe it means we'll have good luck in the future??

I know he has helped me. He's by far the best doctor I've ever had.

I came here to get an x-ray done for a nearby dentist and could not believe the office. When I had braces as a kid, the office was one of those stupid ones with a train going around the ceiling and big murals of smiling teeth holding toothbrushes.
Orthodontics has come a LONG way, apparently. This office is by far one of the neatest/high tech/most modern medical offices I've ever seen. The staff was also super friendly, and everything is paperless.
I would definitely come back here if I needed any orthodontics done.

Carmine's Restaurant & Pizzeria
Category: Pizza
Richard R. mentioned that it was really busy and you may want to choose an off time for a quieter dinner. His review was the reason we decided to go take-out instead of eating there... however, when we got there, it was really quiet (on a weekend too). Maybe we just caught them during a lull, who knows.
Anyway, I am not sure if I can name this as the best pizza in Atlanta, since I haven't tried many places... but it was pretty good!
This is one of the only places on Clement (actually, I think it is the only place) that is open 24 hours.
7-11 across the street closed down (I have no idea why, but the closest one is now Geary & 15th Ave). I miss the stoners playing The Simpsons late at night! :(
The apple fritters are absolutely amazing. I highly recommend them.

I Fratelli Ristorante & Wine Bar
Category: Italian
I went to middle school & high school in Dallas, and rode horses competitively for many years. One of our favorite things was this pizza from I Fratelli's:
roma tomatoes
artichokes
green olives
black olives
artichokes
garlic
I can't speak for the quality now, but back then it was one of my favorite post-workout or post-horse show foods! This was when they only had the Las Colinas location (at least to my knowledge). When I get back to Dallas, I will definitely try it again.

I had the veggie plate and the stand-out was DEFINITELY the Mac&Cheese. It was fantastic!!! The corn was good too, it was cut right off the cob.. very fresh. The green beans were okay & so was the cucumber salad. My friend had a cheeseburger which looked good. The onion rings that she ordered were pretty good. The fried green tomatoes were fair - not the best I've had but certainly not the worst.
I definitely want to go back to see if they have fried catfish - my favorite!
Overall this restaurant is definitely a step-up from a diner, Denny's, Cracker Barrel, TGI Fridays, etc. The servers are really nice, and the sweet tea is great too!

D & A Cafe

Neighborhood: Inner Richmond
I have walked past here MILLIONS of times and even thought about going in... but the minute I almost get up the courage.....
the sign stares me in the face....
"Happy Hour Special Fish Burger...." and the "fish burger" just looks so disgusting, with its wilted lettuce and undistinguishable fish product.
So I run the other way.
Maybe someday I'll give it a shot, since the reviews don't make it seem any worse than the other Clement eating establishments... but the chances would be a lot better if they'd get rid of that damn sign already!!!!

The food is awesome. We've ordered from there several times now and it hasn't disappointed. I just wish it was open later (but I wish *everything* was open later).
My favorite thing isn't really food - but the soy beurre blanc. It is perfect with the grilled artichoke halves, and I always ask for an extra for whatever main entree I get.
The garlic mashed potatoes, butternut squash soup, ribs, and balsamic beef are all fantastic.
In any case, it's a VERY welcome change from greasy Chinese food or so-so Thai around the house. I just have to remember that they stop delivering at 9pm!

The boyfriend and I were looking for somewhere to grab a bite to eat with nice ambiance, and Little Alley was exactly what we were looking for! The interior of the restaurant was beautiful, and you can tell (like the other reviewers mentioned) that it is a great date spot. There were several couples there and even what seemed like an Oprah's book club meeting..lol.
In any case, we weren't super hungry, but decided to order the duck spring rolls, steak skewers with fries, and short ribs. They were all great, but the stand outs were the fries and the short ribs (they were so tender!). I liked the duck, but not everyone is a fan of duck, I guess.
We really enjoyed this place and will definitely be back again!!! It wasn't crowded at all on a Monday night, and with $5 tapas that actually taste great, it's an easy decision to return to try more items!
