This place is just great. From the owner Chung to the girl behind the counter Joyce. The sandwiches are always fresh and very good. I'm a fan of the S5. The prices are wayyyyy better then Main St Market and the overall feel of Palm Tree is just warm. I bought some deli meat last week (Boars Head) and was surprised by how cheap it was. I actually think its cheaper then Genuardis.

I see people talking about them not being open Sundays...its an easy explanation. They do not work on the Sabbath.

When we travel we tend to rent homes or apartments from Airbnb....except when we go to Sarasota. This is probably one of the best chain hotels I've ever stayed in. We have stayed here 3 times (one time with our dog) and I'm presently booking our 4th stay. Its always super clean, the staff is great and the breakfast is really good. FREEEEEE....love that word.

I would say the one drawback is the rooms do not come with refrigerators, that is of course you get a suite. That is where the lack of 5 stars comes into play.

After 7 months they finally sent a notice saying that the ticket was dismissed. YAY!!! Good job PPA. Way to do your job....or something like that. You still blow. Die.

So I had to call once again because I received a super shiny, bold red letter saying my vehicle would be booted. We'll I'm fine with that since that plate is illegally on another vehicle. My concern is my name being associated with that plate that does not belong to me.

Anyway...long update short. The PPA still hasn't allocated the 5 minutes needed to look through my paperwork from the state showing that I do not own the plate. 5 months and still counting. PPA = the pure definition of "well oiled machine."

There are so many places to write a review on the PPA I had to pick the one that had the most overall reviews.

Most of my experiences with the PPA consist of turning on A&E and watching Parking Wars. Garfield, Sherry, Richie BoomBaats, Brian...etc. They make me laugh and so do the wonderfully smelling people of Philadelphia. That show makes this city look like a gleaming pile of crap....which for the most part it is.

The times I have received a ticket (which is rare because I can read signs and understand boundaries) I pay it off quickly and things are over and done with.

Recently I have become the victim of "Identity theft." An old license plate of mine from 10 years ago was ticketed and my name is somehow still attached to the plate. Fun. I got a letter in the mail saying I was delinquent on payment and with fees and interest I owed such and such amount. Yeah I don't owe s%*t.

I called and and spoke with a wonderfully happy person at the PPA who told me I needed to get in touch with the state and get a so and so form and another this and that form. I paid the $5 state fee and got the paperwork needed to show that I have not owned that particular plate in ten years and do not own the vehicle that was ticketed. I sent all the paperwork to the PPA with copies of the letters they sent to me and followed up about 2 weeks later. Oh...said the woman on the other end. We have not determined the outcome yet. Please call back in 2 weeks. I call back in 2 weeks and guess what....we have not determined the outcome yet. This was the beginning of March.

Now 3 months later and another delinquent notice in the mail I heard those wonderful words again today...We have not determined the outcome yet.

Seriously PPA. Are that lazy or unorganized that you can't look at the paperwork and get it off your desk and done with forever? I almost need them to send me another delinquent notice because this one is almost filled up with phone call confirmation numbers.

This review is written in 1st dog.

My owners take me here a lot. We'll they take us a lot. Me, my brother and the next door neighbor. The place is really bright and I can see all the stuff I want. Most of it is at head level which is great because I can lick things and we don't have to buy them. That's a good thing because I don't have a job and if I had to buy everything I licked...well.

I saw other reviews that some humans don't seem to like the staff. That is really unusual because in the 100 trips here I found them to be great every single time. They let me jump on them and they talk in funny voices. Funny voices make me laugh dog style inside.

They have the food I like, the treats I like and they even have bunches of toys that squeak. I don't know what it is about squeaking but it gets me every time. Even when the neighbor comes over to hang out she grabs the squeaky stuff. Something about that squeak.

Anyway I just learned how to read and type so excuse any grammatical errors. This human language thing isn't the easiest. I saw that my owner signed up for the Bow Wow club. It seems to be worth it because he was singing some song in the car about getting a free bag of dog food. I forget the lyrics but that seemed to be the main point of the song. "La La free bag of dog food La La". Humans.

Any way this place is worth the trip. Everyone seems really cool and they all have nice knees. They even have ice cream.

Great service. We use it predominately for getting food from Saffron Indian kitchen but we have used it in the past for Hymies Deli and Elevation Burger as well. I believe for my particular location I have the option of about 20 restaurants to choose from.

The site is easy enough to use. On the home page you type in your zip code and it will let you know whether or not you can you their service and if so, what restaurants you can choose from.

I believe the restaurant chooses the delivery fee which can range from $2.99 to $6.99. Saffron used to be $1.99 but recently went up a dollar. Booo.

They are always very quick with delivery and the drivers do not call my house insistently because they can't find my house. That pisses me off. Get a clue or a GPS. Again...they do not do that.

Overall a great service. I would use them more (other then Saffron) but to be honest paying $7 for delivery puts me off. I think $3 is my limit.

Oh yeah...and you can add your tip right to the online order in case you don't have cash on hand.

When I travel around the country especially down south I make it a point to go to a well talked about BBQ spot...usually from yelp reviews. I've found some decent spots in Georgia and Florida but nothing that I've been wow-wed over.

Well I have now found a spot that puts the wow in my BBQ. I can not believe that I haven't driven my ass here earlier or the fact that its actually in Philly. Me, my wife and 3 friends went to SL yesterday for my birthday. I wanted BBQ...its my birthday. Everyone gets to listen to me.

I had a full rack of ribs with mac & cheese, spicy collared greens and baked beans. I can say now that these were the best ribs I've ever had. They were meaty, fell of the bone with a great spice and the BBQ sauce was just the right amount. They were fantastic. The mac and cheese and greens were also quite fabulous. The baked beans were good but Tex's BBQ still holds that award with his cowboy beans. They will be hard to beat.

I also really like the way SL is setup. We brought a growler and a couple 6 packs and picked a table before we stood in line to order. Between ordering, paying and actually getting our food it was mere minutes. Rolls or paper towels grace each of the tables which is wonderful because I am messy like a 2 year old child with spaghetti.

I enjoyed my birthday and really enjoyed the BBQ. I plan on getting there again very soon. After that I will have to figure out a way to try Percy St BBQ without getting shot on South St.

There is this device called the iphone4...why the iphone4? Because if its any other generation of the iphone you might as well throw it out the window. There is no point in holding it.

Now that I have my product placement out of the way I will get to my point. If you combine yelp with the walking GPS (Google Maps) of the iphone4 you get basically the best combination of information while wandering an unknown city. This was our predicament in Savannah and this wonderful combination had us at all the right spots in our 3 day adventure in Savannah.

We went here for brunch on a Sunday morning. There was a little wait but we sat at the bar so there was no wait. My wife loves Mimosa's....so much so she would marry one if it wasn't so liquidy (I made that word up). We had to wait till noon for both a Mimosa and Bloody Mary and they were sticklers to the time. Not even a minute before noon would she pour the drinks....then they ran out of OJ...haha. That made me chuckle.

The place itself was very nice and airy. Lots of light and a decent size. I had the Black-eyed pea cake sandwich and it was great. A perfect sized meal for wandering the streets. My wife had eggs and grits...because she gets grits anytime they are present on the menu. She enjoyed her meal and her two mimosa's.

Overall we enjoyed our quick brunch (We might have been there 45 minutes tops). Good food and good service. That's all you really want when getting a meal in an unknown city. Thank you Steve Jobs for helping us reach our goal of eating well and not getting lost in process.

My whole family seems to drag me here every time we are in OC. The beer is cheap and my family drinks. I don't partake in the alcohol consumption so I can actually taste the food.

After about 10 trips here I can say the food is nothing but ok. I was there this past weekend...once again....and had a grilled chicken sandwich. It was actually...whats the word I'm looking for?? Slimy. Not something I like in my chicken sandwiches. I'm more of a non-slimy grilled chicken kinda guy.

I don't know. I just think this place should have a sign that says "Leave your taste-buds at the door." People just want to get drunk here and that is cool with me. This is the place to do it, but If your looking for a decent dinner go to a place that does not have slimy chicken.

Now I think I've had the food from Saffron about 30 times in the last 2 years and have yet to step foot inside the restaurant. How you ask?

We are lucky enough to be in geographical range for a little service called Main Line Delivery. Basically they offer delivery service for places that do not have delivery service. There you go. You don't have to thank me for filling you in.

Anyway, we get food from Saffron way to often. Its great. We have never been let down by the food in all the times we have had it knock on our door. We have tried everything on the menu and about the only thing I'm not a fan of is the Ghulab Jamun. There are like soggy donuts and I don't like rose water.

My favorite thing on the menu is the Lamb Roganjosh. I could eat this every week...oh wait. I do. We even tried Tiffin when it opened around here to see how it was. Nah. Not even close. Saffron was the winner by a mile.

One of these days we will actually get off our asses and go to the restaurant, but until then, I will enjoy sitting on my couch while eating the Indian goodness.

I played here for the first time this weekend. I am really surprised after all the the years of playing golf down the shore I have never ventured to this spot. I'm disappointed I haven't gotten here early.

Great course. We just had about 5 days of rain so the course was a little water logged in spots but nothing that you could not play out of. The course was in great shape from tee to green. There are no trees on the course which is nice considering 95% of the courses down the shore have trees lining every fairway. Because of the no tree aspect I found the course to be pretty forgiving. It also helps to put the ball in the fairway off the tee box....which I did all day long (virtual pat on the back). It reminds me a off a desert course in a way. Big brown dunes with fescue intertwined with the green of the fairways and greens. Visually a very beautiful course.

It was $89 for the round which is reasonable for the shore. Their rates go to $105 once the summer hits and I'm not sure the course is worth that price. Don't get me wrong its a very nice course but you better be one hell of a course to break the $100 mark and I'm not sure this is it. This matches most of the courses in the area as far as price goes for the summer time and that is one of the reasons I tend not to play the shore courses past the spring.
