Brasserie Les Halles

This was perhaps the first place of my culinary tour. I am fan of Anthony Bourdain, and so this was a must-see. I stopped here after a Mets game, and it became the perfect evening to stay in and eat by candlelight. It started to pour so we headed for the bar and munched on some starter potato crisps.

We took our seat at a nice table in the back, and I rubbed my hands together. And for the first time, I ordered something I never would have ordered in the past, before I read Kitchen Confidential and began to appreciate cooking for what it is. I ordered the Foie Gras, or stuffed baby duck liver.

I can't really say if it was delicious or gross, as I was too excited to be in the Big Apple with my friends and girlfriend and finally in Tony's old haunt. But the place was enjoyable. Next time I'll get steak and frites (fries) and call it a day...

Pizzeria Uno

Chicago pizza can never be replicated, no matter how hard Uno tries to replicate itself across the country. The pizza here is amazing, and I certainly tried them all. But Uno was my first and my favorite. I love the crampted atmosphere of the original. It's just very Chicago. The pizza is perfection in a dish. I'm a pig, but I couldn't eat more than two slices...

We also spent some time at Due, Uno's less famous cousin, but I liked it better at Uno. Try them all and find your fave, is my best advice. It's a lesson in Chicago history while you eat amazing pizza.

We stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel on our first trip to Chicago, and we walked to the Billy Goat as soon as we got settled in. This was the first place that locals recommended. Eh, the food is what it is... It was not memorable in any way.

But I enjoyed the charm and the location deep below the Michigan Ave. It was a perfect welcome to the Windy City. But we quickly found ourselves in the pizza joints without ever looking back!

This place has a real cool feel to it, great atmosphere. This was the first spot we hit, and we enjoyed pyramids in the early afternoon because it was within walking distance of our hotel. Glad we stopped in; I enjoyed the place...

When you can effectively and successfully mix two breakfast staples like Capn Crunch and French Toast together, there's something special goin' on.

The atmosphere is 100% Bmore! The chorizo sausage and eggs (any way) is worth it too after a night in Fells.

If you're stoppin through Baltimore, stop here.

Slice Pizzeria

My first taste of New Orleans was Slice. Pizza, hmm... Now what I wouldve thought of, but it was awesome pizza at that. Took a few minutes to cook, but the slice I got was worth it. We stayed down the road just a short walk away, but I would've driven for another slice after hanging out on Frenchmen St.

Atmosphere and the music was very Baltimore, where I'm from, and the staff was pleasant, so it felt like a piece of home on St Charles Ave.

I'll eat here again very soon. Hopefully sooner than I expected! New Orleans did something to me unexplainable, and it's places like this that are pullin me back!

This is one of Baltimore's best lil food joints. The food's pretty good for what it is. Come in and enjoy the atmosphere and the people and down some Natty Boh's and watch the O's, hon!

My girlfriend and I usually come in here on a late afternoon when we're both off. Perfect time, because usually once the sun dips the place gets crowded quickly. Weekends are usually the only time you'll have to wait for a table.

Love this place! I douse every single slice in some parmesan cheese and leave nothing left on the paper plate. The staff doesn't seem to speak English, and I'm not complaining because they get our pizza out to us very quickly. I like the spot, too. Right in the middle of Fells and across from my favorite bar, Max's Taphouse.

This has been my pizza joint since I was of drinking age... I love the B.O.P.

I really stopped buying music in stores around the time iTunes came into my life, but this place has always had exactly what I was looking for, and some stuff I didn't know I wanted.

The staff is very reserved, but always knowledgeable. It's next to one of the oldest bars in America, The Horse You Came In On Saloon, so that's a big bonus. This is one of our small gems. I really can't help myself from stopping in when I'm down in Fells.

Sláinte Irish Pub And Restaurant

This bar has really nice atmosphere and it's right on the water. The Irish breakfast is delicious with a Guinness. I used to come here for the early morning England football matches, but the crowds became too much to handle for such a narrow downstairs area. Upstairs is much nicer and wider.

I miss this place but I rarely drink these days...
