Fantastic fantastic sushi. Nothing like the stuff I've tasted along the east coast.

I recommend everything others recommended:
Hawaiian roll #1
Hawaiian roll #1
Spicy Hamachi
Spicy Tuna
Baked mussels
Baked bass.

+ try the amaebi nigiri if they have it. They fry the head for you and it is delciousness.

The use of mango here is amazing. Boyfriend and I were in San Fran for a week and this was the only restaurant we went to TWICE.

Price is right. We were out for 60 bucks max with 2 bottles of beer. The place has limited seating and does get crowded fast, but luckily we were always seated without much wait.

The ambience is really authentic and it's quite a cozy place. There seems to be a couple of regulars and there's a friendly atmosphere. It seems to be quite the date spot for San Fran, so expect many couples.

It opens at 5pm, so come close around that time. It will be so worth it.

Food was ok. I didn't feel their cooked food menu was that great. The flavors and textures didn't seem to blend well. E.g. hearty meats with delicate breads etc.

In addition, service here is horrible. Expect to wait at least an hour for your order to arrive, no matter how much you ask for your food. A lot of the staff members also have a bit of an attitude problem.  So watch out for that.

Beware of anything custom made. They don't seem to care and there's a good chance they'll screw it up.

If you really need to get something here, I would recommend the pastries as they were good and inspirational and didn't require a long wait.

I didn't buy, someone treated me. I got one of the curries with chicken and some appetizers for dinner. Nothing to say about it. Okay food and good service. Not much of a selection, typical menu.

Not sure if I want to come back either. Nothing really caught my eye, or my tastebuds.

This place *does* suck. The food, I felt, was a bit heavy and a bit pricier than it should be. It was rowdy and noisy. The food took a while to get there, which sucked for me because I had to do other things immediately afterwards. My waiter wasn't very great. I asked him if something could be changed in one of the dishes and he somewhat freaked out (not yelling, more like being overly verbose) on me, which made me freak out. All I needed was a simple yes or no.

My friend asked if they had bananas foster for dessert. Our waiter said yes and brought out bananas foster CHEESECAKE. Uhm, ok? Again, we were in a hurry, so we didn't fix it but my friend ended eating only the bananas on his dessert.

I'm not coming back.

First of all, the manager was nice enough to donate $$ to a fundraiser. So that was a big plus to me and he speaks Chinese which is majorly cool. I also dig the decor.

First time here, I had the green curry with chicken which was a 3 star in my book. Portions were definitely more than filling. The second time I went, I got the Pad See U with pork, which was a dish I saw another friend had the first time I went. It's very reminiscent of a dish I had back in Hong Kong and tastes pretty much the same. Delicious. 4.5 stars. Next time I go back, I'll definitely order it again. My recommendations. Both times I had the Roti Canai, the smell is luxurious and saliva-inducing, a bit pricey for what you get though.

Okay prices, could be better, but again, the portions are generous. No qualms with service.

Generally, good memories.

I went here with a bunch of friends. First of all, service can be a lot better. We lingered near the front for a while before I waved down a waiter to seat us. The decor was v different. I liked it a lot. It has almost an Alice in Wonderland feel.

However, the food left much to be desired. I had the baked chicken. The chicken was ok. It looked like it had been mass packaged and unfrozen, like cafeteria food. It wasn't great and friends' other chicken options were definitely lacking on the chicken. The Mizithra cheese was piled on and it was super super super salty. I could not finish it. It was cheap, most definitely. But I would rather get higher quality food than more food.

I won't be coming back, needless to say.

This place has always intrigued me. I thought it would be good for pastries and hot chocolate. Not so much for meals. I finally managed to visit here with my friend. The wait was pretty long. 20-30 minutes if I could remember correctly. It was dark.

We ordered the hot chocolates. I had the mexican one. I didn't notice what he ordered since we were so engaged in conversation. Service was good for what little we ordered. But I was surprised to find the hot chocolate a bit lacking for it being so pricey and under the Max Brenner name. It simply was neither hot nor chocolatey enough. For this price, I expected MarieBelle or Jackques Torres quality. I got none of that. The hot chocolate menu was pretty extensive though.

Honestly, I wasn't that impressed but since I didn't have anything else, like the chocolate syringe my boyfriend raves about, I'll be fair and give it 3 stars. Kind of a tourist trap if you ask me.

Went here on my anniversary dinner with the bf. We had the grilled squid and the fried goat cheese. Both were good. The goat cheese was definitely something to experience. He didn't like it so much, thought the combination was weird.

For main courses, he ordered the lamb burger and I got the chicken. He enjoyed the lamb burger but it didn't look "pretty" to me nor as filling as my dish. My chicken was pretty good and it took me twice the time of my boyfriend to finish it. I cleaned it to the bone.

For dessert, I had the olive oil cake and he had the bread pudding. My oilive oil cake, ironically, was somewhat dry. I had to mix the ice cream it came with into it so I wouldn't choke. My bf enjoyed the bread pudding. It was ok, but I'm not a big fan of bread pudding.

The waiter was very nice. Good service. He gave us some suggestions and made some small talk which a lot of people don't do nowadays.

Ambience? I was a bit thrown off by how casually dressed people were there. We were "dressy" as listed on this yelp page, but you can definitely come in jeans. The lighting was atrocious. I guess they wanted it to be romantic~ but the only thing we had for lighting at our table was a tiny candle flickering at the center of our table. Very bad if you're like me and want to take pictures of every single dish that sit on the table  (pictures are uploaded to yelp).

All in all, it was a good experience, but not something that stood out.

At my request, my boyfriend treated me on my birthday here. We had the midnight train and had fried green tomatoes. Being from nyc, I wanted some Southern flava~~.

The ambience is actually really nice. I liked it a lot. Being Asian, I felt a bit out of place but it had a cool vibe. The chicken wings were huge. Loved them. They are v. v. good. I couldn't finish all of it.

The waffle wasn't anything special. It was better than Eggo but I didn't find anything amazing with them. The boyfriend liked the waffles though.

The fried green tomatoes are amazing. It was my first time trying them ever and they were oh so yummy. Peach cobbler a la mode was also good.

Service was good. There was a bit of a mix up, but that got fixed fast. Our waiter was polite.

I would come back on special occasions. But a definitely recommend. The prices aren't bad but won't fly on my college budget!

Pictures of what we ate added to this page. Check em out.

I went over here during the summer with some work colleagues. You know this place has been overated on yelp when more than 50% of the patrons in a restaurant in Chinatown are white. The line was huge. We waited around 30 minutes, only to share a table with a couple of girls.

The soup dumplings weren't anything special or that much different from Shanghai Cafe's. So if you're looking for soup dumplings, head there. God knows the line should be much shorter, and it's probably cheaper too.

IIRC, I had no complaints with the service.
