Hodgies Ice Cream Too
Category: Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt
Thinking of the Coffee Cookies and Cream makes me wish H2 was still open. (Closed for the Season).
Nice to see a company doing something so positive for the environment.
There are two main walkways. One goes out into the channel. You can see lots of different fish and manatees swimming by. I would say this is where the action is. We saw several rays jump up of the water.
The second walkway goes back around by the road. This is the warmest water where the manatees hang out. At low tide we were probably 10-12 feet off the water and there were literally hundreds of manatees. I've never seen anything like it!
This place is as good for kids as it is for adults. TECO did a nice job and it is definitely worth a visit.
Did I mention it is free? Awesome!

While the cocktails were yum-my they were expensivo. I had the Cucumber Cosmopolitan and the Liquid Jailtime. The Liquid Jailtime was especially unique and different.
We just met for drinks and this place is small. Don't think you're going to roll in here with your crew. There's no place to put your crew.
The menu look good but a little on the pricey side as well. If you are going to all out with $30 entrees, you got a lot to stand behind.
Given the small space, I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to go here, but if it is just 2-3 of you, stop in and over pay for a drink. You can say you've been.
The fried seafood is fresh, the plates are huge and it does feel like something out of the 50ies/60ies.
A great place to stop on your way up to the Lakes Region.
Only open in the summer.
For every two entrees we ordered, we got a $10 gas card!

What's not to love about the Comman Man?
Fabulous food. Delish desserts. Country Comfort Decor. Free cheese and crackers while you wait. GREAT prices.
The Common Man in Windham is no different. Definitely one to keep on the stand by list when you need a good solid meal without breaking the bank.
We had the rainbow trout, the salmon special and the mud pie. Yum.
We'll definitely go back.

Redhook Ale Brewery
Categories: Restaurants, Breweries
Love that the tour is more about the beer and less about the tour. Let's be honest, you can only take so many brewery tours. We're all there for the beer anyway.
Tours are $1 and you get a lovely little take home glass.
The restaurant is good as well. All the menu items are paired with one of their beers. The portions were plentiful and the service terrible. Don't go when you are in a hurry.
Would be a great day trip for the Boston crowd.
Now if only I didn't get RUN OVER by children every time I went there. I don't need nor want stuffy, but jesus, could you PLEASE stop your kids from SCREAMING next to my table?
We like to eat here during early bird special hour. The special is there are limited children.
It is packed. Always.
I like the country music and the line dancing is free entertainment. I can only complain so much. Well, maybe they could turn the volume down A BIT...
The BF and I had steak and our friends had burgers. Everyone was overstuffed and seriously content.
There is a bar and tvs for game watching. I toss my peanut shells on the floor because I can.
It is a chain and everyone working there is half my age now, but the food is damn good, reasonably priced and ohhhhh, the rolls.
Date

Embarrassing to admit, but I've been here more than once. The course has a pirate/sea theme and on Friday and Saturday nights they have glow golf. It's total cheese and I love it.
Hodgies 2 is across the street (just make sure you finish your golf before H2 closes!) Lena's Seafood is next door. It's a whole Salisbury date night within walking distance! (If only somebody had booze...)
If you keep your scorecard, one person pays half price on your next visit. Better than nothing and in Salisbury, the land of a million mini golf courses, it is differentiator.
There is a new batting cage but haven't tried it out yet.
Yeah, I'll see you there. You secretly heart glow golf too.
