Only 63 reviews? I've been here a handful of times and I can't get enough of the yakitori.
They have this yakitori dinner special for $17 that includes 7 skewers, soup, rice, salad....not too bad for the price. We also got the fried dinner too but I prefer the regular grilled kind a bit better. Hold the meat with the chopstick, then slowly twist the skewer out....easier if you twist to free the meat from the stick, then dip into the pepper flakes and mmmmm!!!! They also have this chicken rice dish that is really good! The ramen wasn't better than something I can get at Suzu.
If you're in a rush, then maybe you shouldn't eat here. The service is good but the food doesn't come out very quickly....that way you can enjoy your sake or beer....eat what you ordered and then order some more. Take your time here and you'll enjoy every single bite. And if you've been to Japan, this place will bring back memories. =)

A good japanese restaurant is hard to find around this part of FiDi... but if you're in need of a quick, cheap, japanese fix... this will do.
The Bill's burger was moist and cooked perfectly... actually one of the best burgers I've had recently! We also ordered the nachos which were piled with beans, cheese, salsa, guacamole, sour cream and the most important spicy spicy jalapenos..... all of this washed down with a very tasty Blueberry stout!
Other than the slow service, I'll probably come back for a very nicely cooked burger and their good beer selection.

After finally getting seated, the food wasn't too bad. The ceviche was one the best I've had... I've tried that fried fish on their menu... man that thing is huge and messy to eat! It's better to throw down the utensils and dig into it with your hands... though that tip is not recommended if you're on a date. =)
Overall great meal... loved the deserts and I'm not even a sweets guy! If you can get over the wait and crowd, this is a nice spot to take a date or even have a small birthday dinner.
ohhh cell phone reception is horrible at this restaurant. I couldn't send or receive any calls that day!

The place was quite empty at 7 but completely filled up by 8:30. I guess people don't believe in desert before dinner. =) It was still happy hour so we ordered some cocktails....I think we had the strawberry kiss which was way too sour for me but my friend said the sangria was perfect! I had a beer of course in a nice fancy glass... we also ordered some desert...wish I can comment more on the desert, I didn't try it.
But overall the place is relaxing with some nice artwork on their walls...and check out their bathroom....just as Euge said... a shag worthy bathroom. =)

Actually went there today for a business lunch....ordered the mahi, was told that it will be slightly undercooked in the middle which is fine with me. When I got the fish, halfway through I noticed it was undercooked. At this point I was done and wasn't interested in trying anything else. The waitress found out about the undercooked fished but offered to cook me something else though my group was almost done eating......desert came, then the bill... no comp meal, deserts or apologies for my meal! Sorry but that's just right. At least this meal helped me decide if I love or hate this place........ ....
- nice wine list
- very memorable bacon fried brussels sprouts!
- their chocolate desert!!!
dislike:
- chairs\stool are so high that I can't even touch the ground... I'm 5'7, though not tall but shit... haha
- odd that they couldn't get a real bread plate but instead serves bread on piece of paper menu
- tables are placed too close together and they just love squeezing too many people into one table
- good luck getting a table if you don't have reservations
- leaving without feeling full....
If you come on the weekend, maybe you can catch the bacon wrapped hot dog cart outside on your way out! =)
It's also a great spot to relax when your girl is spending over an hour at Urban Outfitters! *sigh*!!!

The food here is delicious and brings back memories of all my Tokyo trips... yakitori of all sorts. gizzards, chicken, beef, pork belly(yummmm!!), and many more. We usually order a lot of skewers and LOTS of beer here! Make sure you order the crispy chicken over rice dish.
I can't wait to go back this weekend.....getting buzzed with good friends eating tasty food listening to Beatles's music.... Good times!!!
