Since I moved back to Brighton, I've pretty much only shopped at this Whole Foods. One thing I always notice is that not only are the employees are happy and eager to help you, but the customers are also happy and willing to strike up a conversation when its appropriate. I don't know if it is because the store is so small and you keep seeing the same customers as you walk through the aisles.. Or maybe its because people are happy about buying food that is good for them and willing to share their knowledge with others.. Even the cashiers and kids who bag the groceries talk about the foods you buy and ask what you're going to cook, etc.. Its a nice experience!

I wouldn't normally review a post office, but this one is outstanding. First of all, it's open from 6am-midnight, and on national/ postal holidays the retail window is open from 9am-5pm. For those who run a small business, this rocks!  Also, near the T, there's free parking, fast & friendly service, and an abundance of postal supplies! In my experience, this is the BEST post office in the city of Boston.

This place seems like a pretty average Irish pub. I don't know about the food, but the Guinness is pretty good. Friendly vibes all around. Also, saw a GREAT cover band in the back room - they really had the crowd rockin wow! Other than that, there was really nothing that left an impression on me. I don't think I'd do out of my way to go back there, but if I happened to be thirsty wandering around in Davis Square, I might consider it. We'll see..

Stopped in this produce market for the first time today. Small store, but there are certainly a lot of fresh fruits & veggies to choose from! Prices aren't too bad: 6 bananas & a pint of cherry tomatoes was $3.98. You can also get salad greens, pasta & sauce if you're looking to make something for dinner. And if you are a serious chef, you can probably find some useful ripe produce on the reduced shelf as you walk in.. I also saw some apple cider near the register & holiday wreaths out front! I will definitely be going here for my produce as often as possible. Forget Stop & Shop. Support small businesses yea!

Great pizza, but their meatball calzone & chicken kabob salads are what really rock my world. If you order pick up, leave immediately after you call because they make it FAST.

Great place to come for food & drink! I tried a Reuben & fries the other night and it was delicious!! Washed it down with a high alcohol craft beer while watching Turner Classic Movies on the TV. Will have to go back and try the sausage yea!

This isn't a convenience store, this is a tiny supermarket. Perfect if you forgot to pick up something on your regular food shopping trip. I often find myself walking over here to pick up ice cream, chips, milk, bananas, bread, or cereal. The prices are a little more expensive here, but sometimes there are specials. They also have a tiny deli which I tried recently. I recommend the Aegean chicken on a tomato wrap - very fresh!

They always say to get 3 estimates before choosing a moving company. So, 2 months before my Sept. 1st move, I did just that and Marco Polo Moving & Storage was by far the best. They quoted me $89/hr for two men + truck for a 3-hr. minimum. I figured it would take about 5 hours to move my tiny studio apartment in Quincy to Brighton...

When the day finally came, I was a bit nervous since I was moving on the same day/ neighborhood as all the college students, not to mention it was the first time I had ever hired movers.. But, my worries were put to rest when Younes called me at 8:45am to tell me he was on his way. He showed up with one employee and a big truck w/ lift gate on the back. It took about 2 hrs to load the truck. When they met me at the new place about an hour later, they had picked up another employee to help speed up the process since there was no elevator.. Overall, it took only 4.5 hours to move everything for a grand total of $598.  Everything was handled with care, and the price was unbeatable. I highly recommend this moving company above all the rest!

I was a member of this gym for about a year. For only $10/month, I think it's a great deal! There are a lot of cardio & weight machines. They don't offer classes, but they will teach you how to properly use the machines. They also have big TVs to watch while on the treadmill, just bring your own headphones. Also, bring a water bottle and fill it up at the water fountain! Its very clean, and most of the people seem to be friendly. Lots of parking and lockers, just bring your own lock. I would still be a member if I weren't moving out of Quincy. Not sure what gym to join next.. It will be hard to match this price anywhere else!

Great ice cream place! Its a tiny little place with only 2 tables and a bench outside, but boy does it have character! I usually stop here every time I drive by to get a chocolate frappe with a banana in it. Today, I tried their chocolate peanut butter cookie dough ice cream. Delicious, but a little overindulgent. (I shouldn't have ordered an extra scoop.) Next time I want to try banana ice cream with milk chocolate jimmies!!
