My Last Meal On EarthTwo words: Kobe Beef!
Great Italian food in a casual setting. Lot's of outdoor seating and the food and service were very good. It was a bit expensive for what it was, but that seems to be the trend in Malibu. I had the lasagna, which was right up there with the best I've had. Other's in our party had the grilled chicken and salads. Everything was Very good.

Duke's Malibu
Categories: Lounges, American (Traditional), American (New)
My wife and I had a great dinner there for our date night. She had the herb crusted halibut and I had the barramundi prepped the same way. Both were outstanding! Tried the fish chowder, also great, and passed on dessert this time around.
Great location right off PCH and on the beach. We had window table and a fantastic view of the sunset. It's Malibu casual with required valet parking. The building was not quite as nice as a few of the other Duke's we've been in, but it was still a great meal.

Tried this on a recommendation from a friend and we were pleasantly surprised. Driven by this center dozens of times and had no idea the restaurant was even there. My wife ordered a custom pasta dish which was quite good and I tried the lasagna, which was excellent.
Service was very good, but food arrived a bit slowly. Good choice for a nice date.

Kinda like a slightly upscale Denny's with Disneyland prices. Some BBQ, some Italian, some Mexican. Weird menu, service was pretty good, but for the price there is much better food to be had. We will not be back.

Foxfire Restaurant-Anaheim Hills
Categories: American (Traditional), Dance Clubs
The Foxfire has gone through several changes in the 20 years or so we've lived in Orange County. The bar is a notorious Cougar Den and that is true, but this is mostly a review of the restaurant.
The current incarnation of Foxfire is as a "chophouse". Let me just say, that I've had the pleasure of some of the finest chophouses in the country and this ain't one of them. Service was snooty and mediocre at best, and the food was just ok. For the prices they charge, you can do much, much better in Orange County (Manhattan Supper Club in Orange comes to mind).
I'd describe the food and menu, but it's just not worth the effort. Unless you're single and cruising for 40++ yr old hookups, I don't see much point in going here.

Addison Restaurant
Category: French
Neighborhood: Torrey Hills
For several years, my all-time favorite restaurant has been Pacific's Edge in Carmel, CA. After our experience on our anniversary, Addison has moved into the top spot.
My wife and I stayed at the Grand Del Mar (which was also fantastic) and had dinner on the night of our 22nd Anniversary. The Addison is located in the club house of the Grand Golf Course and shares the property with the hotel. We were told that they spent $30 Million on the interior of the restaurant and it looks like it.
The restaurant offered a 4 course price fix menu where you choose your courses or a seven course "carte blanche" blind menu where the chef chooses for you. Wine pairings are available for both or you can select from the tremendously extensive wine cellar.
We opted for the carte blanche menu with the wine pairing and settled in for a 3 1/2 hour tour of the world through food and wine. It was simply fantastic and the best dining experience we've ever had. 7 courses, 6 wines and the best service you could hope for. Unbelievable.
This year, Addison was awarded the Mobil Travel Guide 5-star award and the AAA 5-diamond award. Both are well deserved and we look forward to enjoying this special place for years to come.

Been here a few times, most recently last night on date night. My wife and I split the salmon special which was excellent. Good warm sourdough, salad and clam chowder to start. Overall the food was excellent.
I've noticed some recent negative reviews on service, but I say that we had no issues. Service was friendly and attentive throughout. Food arrived quickly and we easily got in and out in time for a movie.

My wife and I have been coming to Yves Bistro for years. Have probably been a dozen times or so over the years. It had been over a year since our last visit and they've done a really nice redecoration. Nice sofa/lounge area now and formerly covered patio now feels permanently enclosed. Looks great!
My wife had fish and I had the pork chop. Both portions were good sized and the food was excellent. Wrapped up with 2 mini souffles and both were great! We've never really had a bad experience here and this trip was no exception.
Service was attentive without being overbearing and Yve was playing host and working the crowd as usual. Can be a bit pricey, but we've always felt like it's been a reasonably value. Enjoy!

Second time here. Good wine selection and a great mix of upscale comfort food. Service was efficient and friendly and food was excellent. Had the Macadamia Mahi Mahi with rice and veggies. Excellent all the way around.

Really enjoyed our meal here. Great location on the Beach in Huntington right at the end of Main Street. Nice view of the pier and a Sunset for us. Really good selection of fresh fish and everything around the table was raved about.
I had the opah done Dukes style, my wife had the barmundi and both were excellent. Wrapped up with the Macadamia ice cream pied and called it a great meal!
