I sense this will be a new favorite casual dinner spot in the West Philly neighborhood for me. The atmosphere was off-beat, the pizza very vegetarian friendly, and most importantly, it was cheesy and flat-bread-y. All the good ingredients for a chill Friday night with the girls (and boys). Will be back again in the very near future!

Good selection of beers, intimate atmosphere perfect for good company. Might be hard to get a table on peak nights but sitting at the bar asking for recommendations from the bartender/owner was definitely pleasurable.

She even was able to decrypt our code words for desired beers, serving up tasty selections from our "holiday" and "wheaty" beer requests. I'm impressed and will definitely be back another night soon.

Nothing like standing over the porcelain god, delirious, in the middle of the night to turn you off to an eatery...say hello to: food poisoning.

I hopped off to Z Pizza two weeks ago, after work, thinking it was going to be a treat. I had heard good things before and was excited to try some of the spunkier flavors (which I found you cannot order by the slice, only by the pie unless it's that day's special = super lame).

Maybe it was bad luck or the restaurant (who knows) but less than 8 hours later I was in the bathroom cursing my choice of dinner. I'm off-put from pizza for a while now, especially pizza with lots of veggies on it.

I should have been warned when one of the people I went with noticed how the dining area looked all organic and new-world-y but once you came to the counter to order your food (complete with the rotating pizza dish thing) you noticed how grungy and quick the place really was.

Complimentary chips yum, ambiance yay, prices good. Enchiladas? Just OK.

I got the mole enchilada and I'd recommend trying a different sauce if you're not familiar with mole already. The richness and combination of sweetness and bitterness made me a bit sick after a few bites.

I think my perception of this place was tainted by my distaste for mole (should have tried it from a friend's plate first - next time I might not be so adventurous). Another girl I went with got the chipotle enchiladas and that looked and tasted good to me so I think I'll visit next time and order up that dish instead :)

Reception is very discourteous. Over the phone they assured us that our room would have a fridge and a microwave. However, once we arrived we were surprised that our room had neither of these. When asking the front desk, they defended themselves saying only single rooms (not double rooms) have a fridge/microwave. This made no sense and our demands to allocate us a cart or to switch our rooms was denied.

Wasn't as cheap as other postings put -- maybe you should search online more (we got it for $70, no thanks orbitz). They refused to give a AAA discount once we arrived even though when we called in advance they had assured us that we could receive this discount.

Overall - lots of problems and miscommunication with the front desk that caused us to have higher expectations than what was delivered. Stay away!

We did the pizza tour of Chicago when I was there one summer. Of all the places (including Giodarnos and Pizzeria Uno), I'd say this was the best deep dish pizza of the top five places in Chicago!

Also the thin crust pizza was AMAZING. I'm usually not a believer in paying for thin crust (come on -- get more value out of your money with thicker crusts) but this restaurant changed my mind forever. Thin crust here is amazing and definitely well worth it.

Too bad I'm not returning to Chicago anytime soon.

This restaurant has been redeemed in my opinion. 1 fantastic experience and 1 horrible experience later.

The first time I went, I was asking the waiter (who likes to crack jokes a lot) about whether certain dishes were vegetarian but on accident ended up ordering a dish that had meat. Not sure why he didn't realize to point out that I had ordered a meat dish (since it was in italian, didn't know) when I had spent the last five minutes asking if things were vegetarian.

Anyhoo once the food came out, I was surprised and the waiter acted like I was dumb and said it was clearly PASTA A LA _______ (forgot the italian name) which is *clearly* a meat dish. He grudgingly took it back and made something vegetarian which was just cold pasta with sauce and cheese. Extremely lackluster. To make it worse, once I got the check, the restaurant charged me double for my dish and refused to take it off saying the second dish I had ordered was actually $27. Which didn't make any sense because that was more than any meat dish they serve.

Trip #2: Actually didn't know it was the same place (since friends chose the restaurant and just tagged along) until I saw the same waiter this time! But my friends knew the place well, and I ordered a dish that was no longer on the menu -- crispy gnocchi with pan-seared mushrooms. This was amazingly good considering I don't usually like gnochhi. Love. And it only cost $17 this time so I was very happy.

Though the waiter did mess up another girl's order again. Very incompetent.

Probably won't go back, unless my friends happen to choose it again.

Favorite, favorite, favorite place in Philly, hands down. Been there three different times now and each time has been pleasurable and cheap.

Bruschettas are hand-licking good - have tried the caramalized onion, truffled mushroom, garlic and pesto, pistachio + honey, and the brie + cherries ones. All are good but my faves are the garlic and pesto and the pistachio + honey.

I always get the Three Cheese and Tomato Panino to split which is a good sized portion if you're splitting between two people. It comes with a side salad as well. Finally, the sweets are to *die* for; try the banana and mascarpone panino -- it's different and surprisingly good.

I'll always be a fan of this place. Love.

Similar thoughts as my review on Marrakesh. The atomosphere, the courses served were all very similar. To me, the restaurants were substitutable. Plus: the bellydancers were much better looking, if you're into that. Plus: The falafel course instead of lentils at Marrakesh was a better choice. But still the vegetarian option is not as worth it as the meat option.

Mmm, blood orange drinks, birthdays, and vegetarian substitutions. I have found my Mexican love (te amo)!

Been here twice and both were enjoyable and tasty; got the enchiladas with pan-seared tofu instead of the shrimp. Also got the mango chipotle chips and this is the real deal. Everything tastes fresh and clean -- the green sauce with the enchiladas is just sublime. Thinking about it makes me hungry.

Definitely my favorite BYO in town.
