Sam's Hair Salon
Category: Hair Salons
Neighborhood: Morningside / Lenox Park
A men's haircut costs $20.00, so it's pretty competitive with other salons in the area for a men's cut. I haven't been it there in a few months, simply because I like trying new places to make sure I'm going to the right place, but I had a few coupons for places that brought my haircuts down to 6 or 7 dollars. But rest assured, I'll be back to Sam's.
A quick recommendation though: Call before you go. While technically they accept walk-ins, they highly prefer that you call before hand, and they will make that known.
The only thing that I have to complain about is that I'm just not sure I'm down with the whole eating everything with your fingers method...including the salad. You could eat the baclava with a fork though. That was good.
Dr. WIngfield found two cavities and also needed to pull a tooth for a crown. I decided to get a second opinion and that opinion was very different. The second opinion, Dr. Daryl Kimche's office, found two cavities but in different spots. The others didn't need to be filled just watched right now. Nanstons prices for the two fillings were double what the other the dental office charged for THREE fillings, plus Nanston would have over charged me had I had them do my fillings because they said my insurance didn't cover white fillings...WRONG!
the best I've had, and wont be going back. Plus the free whitening was a take home kit. Not what I was expecting. And It didn't work because it was a weak solution :-(.

Antico Pizza
Categories: Pizza, Italian
Neighborhood: Westside / Home Park
The pizza, wow, it's good. It's saucy, with yummy cheese, and it's messy. Just how I like my pizza. It radiates Italy. The pizza and the restaurant. Big basil leaves on the pizza add a great ambiance to the pizza, and the fact that this restaurant only serves little bottles of italian beverages, and bottles of Italian spring water, with gas or without. Antico's is definitely worth checking out!

To start off, when I finally found the place, I was nervous. Like you should be on your first time. My friend and I walk in and are promptly greeted, in English, by the manager/owner. We are seated and hot tea is brought to us...but not in hot tea glasses. It was in those plastic water/drink glasses that you find in like school cafeterias, restaurants, etc. Interesting.
After we ordered, we were pleasantly surprised by the food, my beef dish was perfectly seasoned and sauced, and the rice was good and sticky. My friend had some fried rice type thing that came out piping hot, with a raw egged cracked on top. That was cool. You mix it in with the rice and veggies to cook it. She also had ribs, and can we say YUMMY! I stole a bite to confirm that the ribs were excellent, and they were. While we were eating, a waitress came around and brought little fried fish to everybody. Whole fried fish. Chopsticks only. You figure that one out.
Overall, My "first time" with Korean food was outstanding. I'd definitely hit that again. The restaurant I mean.

Houlihan's
Categories: American (Traditional), Burgers
Neighborhood: Downtown
The service was fairly prompt, and our food came out quickly. The only problem I really had is that it's much pricier than it should be, but that is probably because it's in the airport. But for 40 dollars plus tip with no alcohol and just water to drink it sort of unreasonable.
I would probably give three-and-a-half stars, but since that is not an option, i'll round up, out of kindness, to four stars!

Smith's Olde Bar
Categories: Music Venues, Pool Halls
Neighborhood: Morningside / Lenox Park
Smith's is one of the few places in Atlanta that still serves my beloved Rolling Rock. Smith's also has nightly drink specials that makes it worth going to, as well as some of the best music shows in the "big A."
Pros:
-Music Venue
-Thursday night trivia
-food
-Rolling Rock :-D
Cons:
-very inadequate parking
-lack of Rolling Rock upstairs
