Such a great concept! Workshop SF provides people with a space to learn new crafts, socialize and create stuff! From ping pong and movie nights to bloody mary workshops and bike repair sessions! Workshop SF provides so many of us a with a space to tinker and do crafts in a semi-structured environment.  A creative way to build community for sure; I am thrilled to have this in our neighborhood.

Gets a bit crowded (AND HOT) in the evening which isn't so pleasant since the space is relatively small.  It's a shame too, I mean who doesn't like a michael jackson / prince showdown?

My favorite time to hit up Madrone is in the early evening between 5-9.  During that time, you can actually see the great collection of antique furniture they got going on. Not to mention there are great drinks, a full bar and drink specials I always seem to forget about when highlighting how well you can drink in the western addition for so cheap (ala beanbag, mojo, fly and now acme burgerhaus).  

If you can handle the heat and crowds in a confined spaces while drinking and dancing, you will no doubt be down with Madrone.  It's a great neighborhood spot to kick it for sure.

Just went here for the first time yesterday and thought it was a nice little spot for a quick lunch in the financial district.  Tucked away on Hardie,  an alley off of Kearney, we were seated fast and the service was quick.  I am not a huge fan of pasta meals, but thought my chicken Parmesan was done well.  Meals will run you around 10-13 dollars and come with a side of salad or soup as well as bread.  We were in and out within 45 minutes.  I would check this place out again.

24 hours is definitely a bonus, but I have been to Bob's donuts a few times now and have not been wowed.  Perhaps there was too much hype and I just didn't feel like it lived up to it.  Bob's is certainly not bad but my yelp rating says it all: "meh. I've experienced better."

I heard good things about We Be Sushi and decided not to be swayed by the mediocre yelp review.  I have to say, I was not impressed.  Despite other things I have read here, I found the service to be prompt and the waitstaff were friendly.  I was also pleasantly surprised by the free miso soup and thought the prices were extremely reasonable.  

With that said, the fish just didn't taste fresh. And really, there is nothing worse than sushi that isn't fresh-sort of goes against the whole point.  I would rather slow service and would even be willing to pay more, than to have bad sushi.  As a result, I don't think I will be coming back here again.

I want to like this bike shop, I do-especially because they have some good sales. Every time I go in though, I always leave feeling unsatisfied. It wasn't until this past week that I realized the thing that rubbed me the wrong way every time I left the store, was the fact that I was totally unimpressed with the staff and their customer service. When it comes to buying nice equipment for my bike or hell a bike itself, I certainly want to work with a friendly staff member who seems excited to be able to talk bikes with me. With so many bike shops in the city not only willing to treat their customers with the highest customer service, but with more comprehensive inventories, I don't know that I will be stopping into Valencia Cyclery anytime soon.

I've walked by Amasia multiple times before, but hadn't tried it until this evening. I am a huge fan. Amasia is not a place to drive by dine. If you are in the mood for food fast, this might not be the place for you. I definitely don't mind taking my time and having a leisurely dinner, so this was a plus in my mind. Staff was friendly, accommodating and helpful with recommendations. I thought the fish was fresh and enjoyed the 50% off sake special. Amasia has a warm neighborhood feel to it and I enjoyed the colorful atmosphere tremendously. Dinner for two ran us around 45 dollars which I thought was reasonable for a good deal of sushi/sashimi as well as sake and two appetizers. I look forward to dining here again soon!

CC Rider, damn you got style.  I love thrifting, but sometimes I am too lazy to sort through all the crap.  That's where you comes in!  CC Rider not only sell the gems you find once in a while at a big thrift store, they showcase local designers and promote local causes (SF Needs a Velodrome etc).  Some of the things can get a bit pricy, but I am a fan of supporting local designers.  Definitely check it out.

It seems that these days, the Western Addition get's better by the day. Matching Half's opening yesterday certainly contributes to that statement.

Nestled right off the thoroughfare that is Lower Divisadero, the ambiance of Matching Half is calm and conducive for studying, quiet conversation, or those who work remotely. The coffee is strong and high in quality. The wait staff is accommodating and friendly.

My favorite part by far is the aesthetic. The look and feel of this place is crisp, modern and refreshing. I love the communal table, which I rarely see in SF. The hard wood floors are stunning and the bar seating creates a variety of levels and seating options. This is an amazing transformation from the old "One World Cafe" which used to occupy this space. Fortunately, Matching Half saved the beautiful stained glass above the store front as it adds a lot to to the simple clean lines that exist everywhere else in the cafe.

As other posters have mentioned, this is a soft launch and there are a few kinks still to be worked out. The Internet is inconsistent, they are cash only until next week and they aren't serving alcohol just yet. Nonetheless, I know I will be a frequent customer.

Great ambiance and a consistently delicious latte. I work remotely and this place is my haven.  Quiet, calm, and immaculate.  This would be a great place to have a coffee date or meeting as it is neither too loud nor too crowded.
