Great deal for locals - 50% off with a player's card and local ID.  This, alone, makes this one of the best value buffets in the city.  At lunch time, this comes to about $10, which is fantastic.

Paying so little, we weren't expecting a lot.  But, we were more than pleasantly surprised to see the huge selection, all of which was fresh and tasty.

Thumbs up.

What's left to be said that hasn't been said already?  This buffet was the first that we went to in Vegas and it didn't disappoint.  It was affordable, compared to the other buffet prices, albeit a bit far from the Strip.

The atmosphere was just right - a mix of business, tourist, and locals with all age groups seeming to be present.  No one should feel out of place here.

Service was fast, as the line at the time was virtually non-existent.  The food was very good, as well.  We'll definitely be back to this one.

The ratio of walkers to wheelchairs here is rather high.  That's not say that I'm against either.  Just that, I felt as if I was visiting my grandparents in their assisted-living home's restaurant.

The lasagna tasted like the best Chef Boy-Ar-Dee's I've ever had.

The cheese enchiladas were great until you tried the second one and realized that it's almost all sauce and the enchilada themselves have no true shape.  Rather, it's just a coagulated gelatinous glob of cheese and something that tries to be a sauce of some sort.

The shrimp are small and have all of their little shrimp feet intact.  If you enjoy using your napkin to often wipe the taste of the sad misery of the ocean floor off your fingers, this place is for you.

The top portion of the bread pudding tastes like bread pudding.  About a half inch down, though, it turns to jelly.  Jelly fused with a raisin or two.  Be sure to add lots of the vanilla sauce to mask the true flavor of this delicacy.

All of this for nearly $40.

Next time, I'll just skip a meal and weep quietly in darkness - that actually sounds like it might leave a better taste in my mouth.

My girlfriend and I were in the mood for some BBQ since we hadn't had any great ribs since summer 2010.  After reading the reviews here, we decided to try it out.  We were definitely not disappointed.

We went at about 3PM on a Wednesday, so needless to say, it was pretty empty (post-lunch, pre-dinner hours).  The staff was very friendly and the blues music in the background was at a very comfortable level (it was mostly Stevie Ray Vaughn, fyi).

We ordered a special they have which lets 2 people eat for $20.  It included 3 meats, 2 sides, 2 rolls, and 2 desserts.  We had the ribs and brisket, then asked the waitress to choose the 3rd based on what she thought was the best.  Winds up, she chose the pulled pork.  It was all excellent and cooked perfectly.

There were two kinds of sauces (mild and hot), but we stuck with mild since it tasted so good - didn't even need the hot.

Our sides were the mac & cheese and the fried okra, both of which were very good.

For dessert, I had the apple cobbler and my girlfriend had the blackberry cobbler.  I was a little bummed that they didn't have pecan pie on the menu, but the cobblers were delicious nonetheless.

My only complaint about the place would have to be the portion sizes of the sides and the desserts.  Although, the sizes were about what you might expect for the price we were paying (2 eat for $20).  The desserts felt the same way - if I had ordered the dessert outside of the deal, I probably would have expected them to be a little bigger.  But, for what we got, it was more than fair.

Overall great experience.  This will definitely be our bbq place in the future.

The nachos are enormous and quite yummy.  I regularly get the beef burrito with a cheese enchilada and it's plenty of food at not a huge price.

I reserved a car from them because of their incredibly low prices.  And, it's true - you get what you pay for.  Absolutely horrible experience all-around.  I definitely will not be using them again.  I'd get into details, but it would just get me angry again and I don't want another bad day because of these guys.  Trust the reviews here.  They're all correct.  Stay away at all costs.

We went there just to check out the casino since it's so new.  It was like a really nice "downtown" casino (ie, lots of seniors) mixed with the Disneyland crowd (ie, kids and their parents).  Don't go if you're looking for a "Vegas experience."

Buffalo Wild Wings

Since moving to the area last month, I've been trying to locate another Wings place nearby that matches up to the tasty ones from Hoagies and Wings in Sherman Oaks.  Buffalo Wild Wings can definitely fill those shoes.

There were a couple of BWW in the Valley in CA that I knew about, but I never gave them a try simply because I was already happy with the food and service at that other place.  I tend to be very loyal to a restaurant once I find one I like.

This BWW is, literally, less than a mile from our house, so we gave it a shot.  The wings were meaty, the chicken club sandwich was juicy, and the Southwestern Chicken flip that my girlfriend got was delicious.  The service was also very good, albeit a little TOO friendly at times - made it seem as if we were being served by some wings cultists looking for recruits or something.  That's not a complaint (as overly good service is always preferred over the alternative) - it's just that they didn't need to try so hard.

We've definitely found our local wings restaurant.

Your typical Carl's Jr.

Though, we DID order a six dollar burger and a chicken club (they were out of both types of meat at the time, though, believe it or not).

I will say that the guy at the drive through window (I went sometime around 1AM) was exceptionally nice and courteous.

Teriyaki Madness

Just moved to the area this week and I was looking for a place that would be good enough to make me and my girlfriend regulars.  This one was very close to us, and the menu looked good, so we gave it a shot.

It's a little difficult to find, as Google Maps puts it on the wrong intersection.  But, if you're not as map-deficient as I am, it shouldn't be too difficult (it's right near the Taco Bell).

I got the Chicken Teriyaki plate with the macaroni salad.  I was expecting a LOT of food since the website says the portions are generous.  The macaroni salad, however, was in a very tiny cup - prior to opening it, in fact, I mistook it for soy sauce or teriyaki sauce.

Quality of food was good, but was not exceptional, either.  The chicken was well-prepared.  The rice was a bit dry on the outside, but sticky in the middle, as if it had been sitting for a while.

I'll probably go again, just because it's so close.  But, my search for a good chicken teriyaki will definitely continue.

Also, just an FYI, the profile on Yelp says they deliver, but they do not.
