This place is awesome -- love the concept of family style dining over an all-inclusive meal. Food is simple, delicious and delightful.

Dr.Chiu is awesome. I've been looking for a dermatologist who can work with my skin type from both a cosmetic and dermatological perspective. The challenge has been that I have dark skin and most Derm or Cosmetic places in Seattle don't have the experience or resources (the right lasers) to work with my skin. Dr. Chiu has been very practical, professional and helpful in figuring out the right care for me. Specifically I wanted to have a dark spot removed from my face. She provided me with a ton of information on the risks (primarily darkening instead of lightening of the spot because of my skin's propensity to react with hyper pigmentation) and laid out a plan to test the process before proceeding with a full-fledged treatment. I really appreciated this approach -- it gave us a way to test out the right procedure and she was very upfront about the variability of the results. Knowing these types of details made me much more confident in the procedure and also in Dr. Chiu -- I really felt like she was a partner in getting my skin in the best shape it could be and her depth of understanding of the treatments and options was reassuring and impressive.

I have truly found Dr. Chiu to be a consultative and approachable doctor, and I feel very safe in her care. Additionally, at each appointment she has been prompt and I have never felt rushed -- even when surprise things have happened (like removing a deep pore that was discovered during my appointment).  I really appreciate that she takes the time to answer all my questions and address each of my concerns.

The other thing I've really loved about Dr. Chiu's practice is her staff. I've been following Dr.Chiu since she was at Virginia Medical and she always has the nicest people working with her -- not only nice, but smart and knowledgeable. It makes a big difference.

Ali is flat out awesome, and my dog LOVES her. We started using Ali a few months ago and the change has been remarkable. Previously I would take my pup, Abbey Road, into the office 2-3 times a week and on the other days I'd either be working from home or home early. But I found that Abbey Road was bored at work and not getting a "real" walk because we were going from meeting to meeting. She was tired at the end of the day and not rested. The result was that she was a little barky at night.

Now that she gets regular walks from Ali (3-4 times a week), things have changed dramatically. I can't say it any other way but that she is just happier, more content and more relaxed. I think the socialization with other dogs (via group walks and play time) is really good for her -- she's even more friendly. But more than anything she's, more relaxed. When I get home she's happy to see me but she's not bouncing off the walls. It's awesome -- I feel like our quality time together is even better.

I attribute this to Ali -- I'm not sure what she does, but it is magic. I've used other services before, but there's a remarkable difference with Ali. I think she's just so good with dogs (Abbey is in love with her and all her doggy friends) but she's also good at pairing them up so they are with other dogs they enjoy and she spends quality time with them. The other thing is that Ali is so good at keeping me up to date with how it is going with Abbey -- she's sent photos and videos! I can see how much fun she's having so although I can see the results, it is nice to see it all in action too.

Ali is truly amazing, I can't recommend her highly enough.

Best japanese noodles around town. I always get the butter corn -- i think it is the best most delicious option. Corn and butter? you just can't go wrong. Things to know: there's almost always a wait but the line moves quickly. If you go in by yourself you are likely to get seated almost immediately.

I was disappointed when I went in. The blow out was OK -- not great, not super special and not super resilient. I popped in on a whim -- it sounded fun and for a night out it would be good. But I wasn't super impressed, I didn't feel like it was nicer or smoother or more special than how I do my hair when I blow it out and I expected it be just a little bit more given the price. It certainly wasn't as great as other blow-outs I've gotten elsewhere.

Rodney saved me. There's no other way to put it. I was unable to run because of hip pain and it was seriously bumming me out. I went in based on a recommendation from a friend. Rodney reviewed my posture, alignment -- everything and told me my right leg was shorter than my left which was the core of the issue and that this was happening because my muscles were tightening -- not because one leg was actually shorter. He then dove in and massaged and pulled and made my muscles release. I'll be honest, it was not pain free -- and it took about 2-3 days of soreness to fully recover. But it was AMAZING. At the end I was back on the path to running again -- I had some exercises to follow and a few repeat treatments, but seriously awesome stuff. I can't recommend their services enough.

The other thing is that the staff is overall great. They also validate parking which is sweet.

This place was delightful. I arrived without a reservation, alone seeking delicious, healthy food that would meet my foodie desires -- I was in town for a shuttle launch (which went off without a hitch!) and had been eating cafeteria food for two days on the NASA campus -- so I was in need of deliciousness. This place was perfect. Everything was delicious, delicately prepared and exactly as described. What made it truly exceptional was the service. I ended up needing to leave early for a conference call for work, and they packed up everything for transport without any issue. It was just an awesome experience.

I am one of those people who used to HATE yoga -- but the approach to yoga at Haute has been awesome and i'm now a true-blue convert. Why? (1) Music.  I take JL's Mon & Weds eve Power Vinyasa class and the music is awesome. I mean Jay-Z "new york" awesome. It makes a hard, hot yoga class fun. (2) studio - it is a beautiful, clean studio. (3) Zico coconut water is available (for purchase) at the studio so it's easy to rehydrate post class (4) it's hot - and detoxifying to do hot yoga.

I've now taken a few classes with many different teachers - and all of them have been great. I highly recommend this studio.

Love this place - the community bohemian upscale farm-to-table elegant is done perfectly and with sincerity.

I started this review a year ago, and since then have been back to Corson a few times -- and each meal has been an above average exemplar of pacific northwest cuisine. Matt Dillon & Co are definitely up to something. I like that they throw you into a community -- everyone sits at shared farm tables and the food gets passed around.  And there is sooo much food!

Some of my favorite dishes:
The quail - i usually think of quail as "too much work" but this was worth it, it had crumbs of some type and berry-based drizzle...yummy.
lentil soup with fresh yogurt. amazing. and so simple.
artichoke something goodness
the pate is amazing
chocolate caramal salt sorbet with cream. OMG.

If you go, I recommend the Thursday or Sunday dinners -- and to bring people with you (it is good for couples too, esp since the group dining makes it social). It is sort of like having dinner with your friends at home, but with amazing food and you don't have to do the dishes.

Also - definitely get the wine pairing. Marc, the Sommelier, is fantastic.

I really wanted to love this place -- but the pedicure wasn't great and given the price it just wasn't worth it.

PROs: it is minutes from my house, upscale and they have awesome comfy chairs.

CONS:
low quality: My pedicure chipped  2 days after I got the pedicure (i get pedicures regularly and I never get chips the 1st week -- and usually can go 2 weeks without a chip - manicures last 4 days on me and then start to chip and need to be removed). The pedicure lasted ~1 week and the manicure lasted about 3 days.
cost: it's an expensive mani-pedi combo -- and for the price there's nothing "special" about it -- the massage was OK but not long. I also expected a deeper scrub on my feet. The parafin dip was nice.

I did like the polish selection -- i thought the colors were fun -- but i think the polish quality may not be great (i prefer essie then OPI and this was a new brand) and that the low quality may have been why the polish chipped so quickly.
