King's Restaurant

Category: American (Traditional)

King's may be the reason of why I ever got in trouble in high school, because whenever my friends and I were done going out, King's was our go-to spot since it was open 24 hours. I couldn't resist hanging out with my friends so I would come home way past curfew. I came here the other day, and I ordered something I always ordered in the high school days. In high school, I only ordered things under $5, and back then I had a number of choices, mini fried rice ala, loco moco, the mini crepe, and cheese bread and dip. I've been back recently after not having some of their grub for about 4 years. It seems like prices have gone up by three dollars average. My cheese bread was still as yummy as I remember, and I laughed at the use of canned mushrooms, a very Guam thing. IDK maybe it's hard to find fresh mushrooms here. My server was awesome, and I enjoyed my "4th meal." I was there in the middle of the night, and of course the place was full on teens who were winding donwn, doing what we were doing. I've been coming here since I was 10, and I am happy the food seems to be consistent with my memory. The only thing I didn't like was the waiter brought us our check without asking if we were ready. We would have totally ordered dessert.

My mother used to work nearby and I have been a patron of this business since they first opened. They used to know me by face. Everyday after school, I would ask my mom for money so I can go down and get something special. I have been a fan of their Chocolate Macaroons, Red Velvet Cake, Bread Pudding, Cinnamon Rolls, and Strawberry Shortcake. Everything is done well. I must make a visit soon. I haven't been in years.

Everyone has an obsession and for Mr. Getty, it was antiquities, so he fantasized about rebuilding a real Roman palace. Unfortunately he didn't stay alive to see the complete project, we, nevertheless, are left with this incarnation of a Roman Palace. It's kind of amazing, because if you have gone to Rome, you know almost everything you look at, is broken and old, but here you can imagine that this is the way it looked like back then, in Ancient Rome. Beautiful. I found the attention to detail impressive, especially at the marble work, but honestly I don't really like antiquities as much, so I hung out outside, while my out-of-towners looked around more. It was nice though, and the view of the Pacific Ocean is always great. I really want a place in Malibu! Don't forget it's reservation only.

I always go in here, and see lots of things that I wish I can get for my baby, but I can't afford yet. Yes, they sell everything from food to toys to real cool looking furniture for the pets, but what I've been eying are things like the cool fake grass thing that my dog can use and the igloo shaped dog cage. Both items would set me back a few hundred dollars though. One day. . . one day. . .Also, I thought customer service is great.

Stop by during my Thanksgiving drive from the Bay Area to Los Angeles. I just got the soup togo. It was about 4 bucks. I want to try it in restaurant since it comes with a hole bunch accoutrement like bacon, but when I got it togo, all I got were crackers. I also sampled their cheese, pretty awesome. It is about $12 if dining in. I think this is an interesting rest stop if you ever need to stop on the way up or down the 5. They sell souveniers and the bathrooms are nice enough.

I didn't know that this place was mostly a collective of art small art galleries with peices for sale. It is definitely worth the trip, just a little awkward, since the art is there for not just looking but for buying, and I'm not really there to buy just to look. The bf was hungry and had a sandwich at the cafe. He didn't like the hard bread it was served it. There were a lot of great exhibits that I saw, and I even liked the furniture store in there. Saw some eeh stuff too, like these pieces done by a guy who blew up his iPhone Pictures. Gee I wish I thought of that, so I can sell it for $2000 a piece. There's even a hair salon in there, which haha, I thought was another art gallery at the time, and mistakenly walked into.

Pretty good pan pizza and I really liked the Supreme Mojos.Close enough to Disneyland, to leave the park and come back. PItchers of beer were about $9. Not bad at all. I wish the salad bar was better though. We ordered way too much food though, but I guess that's our fault. One order of the mojos and chicken and 1 pizza is good for a group of 4 adults and one child.

Hey Bally's helped me lose about 30 lbs last xmas. I used up all the free personal training classes that came with my new member ship, then signed up with Doug for personal training. He was easy on me, and I never felt like I was working out hard, but by the end of three months I was thirty lbs lights. I got busy at work and had to stop, so that sucked, but as for personal training, I had a good experience here. I thought the rates were pretty good, so if you are serious about losing weight and getting fit, check out this gym. I found youtube videos of Britney Spears working out here. I never saw her there though. I've also tired their yoga group class once, I liked it. I also thought the people at the front desk are great. But there are scary guys who hit on you. Haha, that might be the reason I never went back!

Maybe I'm just a really big kid, but I thought it was pretty awesome-Well I did have two beers, that came with a cool souvenir cup. It was $6, not bad. I found online coupons for my tickets so my dinner was $25, and I found it pretty entertaining. Also if you are going with a party make sure you all have copies of each others' tickets so whoever shows up first, can save seats for everyone. We didn't know this, and I couldn't sit with my friends. I saw people their in all age groups from 5 year old birthdays, company parties, and people on dates. I liked the tomato bisque, but it was not hot enough. The chicken and ribs were just okay, but it was fun to grub with my hands. I was hoping the food would be better since they serve it three times a day almost everyday, but it was just okay. I love the sense of competition they form within the whole stadium, and they got us rooting for our team. The horses do enough tricks to make anyone from PETA upset. There was a dancing horse! Yes it's delightfully tacky but fun.It was a little disappointing that not everyone had to talk in a old English accent, only the people in the show do, not the serfs or bar wenches. The knights were entertaining though. I like how they did a great job playing their roles.

Quaint Victorian home turned restaurant. We sat in the back patio and the weather was nice, so it was perfect. I can't remember what I ordered, but I thought they good was simple and rustic. When I say rustic I mean maybe the food didn't have the nicest cuts but it tasted great. I liked the roasted tomatoes that came with my eggs. My friends got served burnt potatoes though--just something I noticed, but they didn't even say anything abut their burnt food, except that it was good.
