I'm so happy to have found a new midtown lunch spot!! They have great sushi, lots of hot food (all looks pretty gourmet to me!), burritos, sandwiches, you name it. The staff is pretty friendly as well and they have plenty of seating. If they don't have a sushi roll you want in the fridge you can always ask for them to make you one. Very exciting!

I LOVE the new Oceana. I've been to the old one and I loved the old one, but the new restaurant is so beautiful, the open kitchen is so cool,  the menu is amazing, the staff is so friendly. They were really good about accommodating our time limit (we were going to a Broadway show after wards so we didn't have a lot of time).

The ingredients really shine here, the food is simple but just so delicious. I had the most delicious scallops ever, with a really good sauce, and a side of asparagus and baby carrots. So good. Who knew veggies could be so incredibly delicious? For dessert I had a carrot cake cheese cake. It was also pretty good, rich, but not the smooth texture I was looking for. My family absolutely loved the food here.

I will definitely recommend this place to everyone and anyone I know looking for a good place for dinner. This place is a great place for a group of friends, a business meal, family meal, special occasion, any occasion really.

Oh man, what can I say? I've never actually physically been here but every time I go and visit my Aunt and Uncle they have food from Russ & Daughters. I could probably eat here everyday and not get sick of it- I'm a Jew so that definitely explains it. LOVE the mustard herring, the curry herring, the gravlax, the potato salad, everything and anything you order here is amazingly good and delicious and apparently you can also try whatever you want when you actually go to Russ & Daughters. Yum.

All this time I've been going to LES Coffee Shop on weekends at 4AM and never even realized this place as open 24hrs too! If only I had known this I would have been eating much more delicious food at that hour. The Jalapeno Poppers are absolutely delicious and they have quite a selection of teas, coffee, shakes, and much more. I'm sure I'll be back!

Can someone please please please explain to me WHY would ANYONE In their right minds want to have a bachelorette party here, wear a jeans skirt, and find it appropriate to ride a bull (thong on!!!!). Simply beyond me, I was just shocked and perplexed. Birthday party - definitely, happy hour with co-workers - sure, out-of-towners - maybe. Bachelorette party - NO!

I was here for a birthday party and had a lot of fun riding the bull (in jeans!!!) and staying on for longer than I expected myself to last. I will say I was hurting the next day from it though (guess I was also weaker than I thought!).

Fun place though.

Pretty delicious freakin eel roll. Even if you've tried eel before and hated it, I guarantee you'll find the eel roll here simply fantastic. There is nothing not to like about it. I'd say if you're going to try exotic fishes/dishes anywhere, you can feel comfortable enough doing it here. Everything is super fresh and just so delicious. The spicy scallop roll was pure joy and the omakase of sashimi is delicious and consists of whatever is fresh that particular day. Truly one of the top sushi spots in the area.

I used to live on 2nd avenue, and always passed by this place but was never compelled to go in. I always went to May's Sushi for half off sushi. I recently read the NYTimes review of this place and decided to try it out since Mr. Bruni recommended it.. :)

I was pleasently surprised. We got a 3 person sushi platter, basically got 8 pieces each. Was a very good deal, and it came with a few different types of sushi including salmon, tuna, white fish, roe, etc. We also ordered a lobster tempura roll (yum!) which was the largest roll I've ever seen. They also have great green tea.

I will definitely be back-- good stuff!!

It's going to be a wait to sit down any weekend you try and come so you're better off sitting on the side walk and ordering a coffee to go while you wait for your name to be called. You can almost taste the food as you see the waiters inside taking dishes to their respective patrons. I figured I'd go for their specialty- the pancakes with blueberries. Pretty freakin good in my opinion- a hefty portion as well. I made a mistake of ordering potato hash on the side (which was not seasoned enough) and had altogether way too much food. They could have used a better syrup or jam to go alongside the pancakes but I thought they owned up to their reputation. The coffee ice-cream shake was okay, not the best. There are plenty of other delicious brunch spots in the city, let alone in the village so I'm glad I tried it, but I wouldn't necessarily wait an hour again just to have their food on another occasion.

Came here for a Birthday dinner and we were literally the only people there. But the staff was so friendly, they put a candle in the cake we brought, they taught us to do sake bombs (it was all of our first times!!). The food was all really good, we had some delicious sushi rolls, interesting guac, the summer roll was okay- kind of a weird consistency, but we all loved the gyoza too. It's a great place to come and catch up with a friend since it's so quiet and empty. If they deliver I'd say it would be a good option.

My dad was staying here while visiting NY and I came to meet him for breakfast. I was pleasantly surprised at all of the traditional NY grub on the menu - lox & bagels, corn beef hash (not sure how NY that is, but I've never heard of it on a fancy restaurant's menu before!), banana caramel waffles (sounded so good!). I of course ordered the bagel/lox combo. Was great that I got to pick my own bagel, came with all the usuals: cream cheese, tomatoes, onions, capers, etc. Was pretty good though it could have used some more citrus/salt? Nice service though.

Came across this place on my way home from the gym (yes I realize how counter-productive it is to go to the gym then to eat a bagel). I love that you can opt to have your bagels toasted, that's definitely a plus. I had a whole-wheat everything bagel toasted with light cream cheese and smoked salmon with a tomato.

You pay extra for any substitution (light cream cheese) and addition (tomato) so it can get pricey.

Ess-a-Bagel still has the best whole wheat everything bagel, but this one was pretty good as well, wasn't salty enough- that's my only complaint but that's probably also due to the light cream cheese which I am not totally used to ordering.

I also had a carrot ginger artichoke soup (also needed more salt) which was good and kind of chunky which I liked. You can also pick between bagel chips, mini bagels, or crackers on the side.

This is a great place to bring a book or your laptop, eat some traditional-NY food, and relax on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
