And hello, 8oz. standard pours of wine by the glass you cannot go wrong and there were some excellent choices by the glass at very reasonable prices.
In the final count, we had 2 orders of the "Old Bay" chips. Yum!

Fabulous, Hamptons-esque design and interior. So beachy yet sophisticated. Really nice wine list and very friendly staff. We shared oysters on the half-shell including Metcalfs which were briny and delicious, The Traditional Greek Salad (very refreshing and with a twist), Oysters Rockefeller - something I've never had, heard lots about, and this version was delicious, and the Cornmeal Crusted Fried Calamari which I think was just ok. The homemade cocktail sauce is killer however - you can eat it by itself it is so good. The homemade pickles are very tasty!

Went back 3 days later, 2x in a row. Can't get enough of their espresso drinks. The most outstanding Gibraltar and cappuccino I've had in California. Brought some Black Cat espresso home and it is dynamite.

best executed cappuccino I've had in California. No question there. This is serious business. And the tantalizing treats from Comme Ca are the perfect match.

My husband had the pulled pork and I would order that too.
It was a mellow Friday so I'm sure the atmosphere is totally different for dinner. Nice wine list and very good service.
Toasted Coconut - delicious - love the cream cheese frosting
Southern Red Velvet - really good, not my favorite flavor typically
Strawberries & Cream - OMG this is truly incredible - fresh whipped cream!
Old Fashioned - yum yum - though not fan of maraschino cherry on top
Mom's Birthday Cake - a must
Vanilla Bean - the most beautiful and feminine of them all!

Really beautiful cupcakes - feminine to the hilt! You really need to let them come a bit to room temperature though - it was too cold to really taste all the yummy flavors. Loved the spicy carrot cupcake with cream cheese frostings. Love the sanding sugar topped cupcakes - very pretty. Wondering if beauty is accounting for a bit more than flavor here though...

My husband had the Ratatouille which was bursting with summer flavors, and I had the delicious Wild Striped Bass with Jerusalem Artichokes, Charred Concord Grapes, Melted Leek and Fennel Soubise. Incredible! My aunt had the Burger which looked out of control (we sneaked fries) - but we had just had the Comme Ca burger for lunch.
For dessert, the Peach and Blueberry Crostata with Creme Fraiche Ice Cream was great, but the outstanding item was the Hot Cinnamon Sugar Doughnuts with Valrhona Hot Chocolate.
Will eat here again for sure - such a wonderful atmosphere and fantastic service.

First to Review
I was recently referred to Dr. Hiura for gum surgery, and have been extremely impressed by Dr. Hiura and his practice. For someone like me who hates medical procedures, needles, especially when it has to do with sensitive areas like the mouth, they put me as much at ease as was possible given the circumstances.
The pre-and post op information they provided was thorough, and I'm already recovering much earlier than I anticipated due to their excellent work.
The only unfortunate aspect is that I have one more procedure!

I had already heard rave reviews before my visit, and Layaly lived up to and exceeded expectations. On a rare Friday off from work, we went for a late lunch and had the place to ourselves. We started with the meze platter - delicious hummus and smoky baba gannoush, and a banana squash spread that was very creamy and delectable! Incredible pita - wow those were good! Then we had the Layaly salad with lots of sumac to make it extra tasty, as well as lots of wonderful cucumbers, feta, olives, green onions, pita, and many other treasures. We all shared the lamb kebab which was perfectly cooked and came with a nice salad too. To finish, we had Turkish coffee, sweetened to our liking. The owner was welcoming and was happy to explain each dish and its ingredients.
While the interior is nothing too exciting (except clean is very exciting to me!), the food was great, and I could imagine the ambience being more interesting at dinner when they also have belly dancing....??!
