U.S. Capitol Building Tour

They do spend our tax money, but we cant really see it.
First of all, you dont get to see most of the stuff they have there, unless you have ticket for this and a ticket for that. How about, I paid my taxes, thats my ticket.
So, first you wait outside, then you go through security, then you wait, then you get a sticker. Then you line up. Then you watch a movie, in a nice theater. Who knew there is a theater in the capital.
Then they take you around a few places. You get to see
some old halls, former Supreme Court chamber, the old House of Representatives Chamber, and the Rotunda. And thats about it.
The tour was too "supervised".
But I do like the rotunda. Very pretty.
I flew Boston - Ft. Lauderdale, and it was okay, not great, but not horrific, but my expectations were quote low.
Both flights were 30 min delayed, the weather was fine, so it had to something with the airline. Well, 30 min is not so bad. And on our flight to FL, they put three movies (that Ive never heard of) for free ($6 charge otherwise). Well, at least they tried to compensate and apologized a few times.
The Direct TV definitely makes the flying go by a lot faster. I loved watching Cops 32,000 feet in the air. Bring your own headset, otherwise its $2.
There are also organic kosher chocolate chip cookies on board. And other "free, unlimited snacks".
On the way back, I feel asleep during the snack give away, so when I woke up, Ive asked for a cookie. Im still waiting on my "free, unlimited, snack". No cookie for me. But I wanted my cookie.
The seats were nice, leather, and there was a little bit more leg room.
But still, certain things lack. Where is my free cookie?????

Fort Lauderdale / Hollywood International Airport

The TSA were rude. Im taking everything off, my laptop, my liquids, my coat, shoes, I cant juggle it all. I dont think you should be telling me to hurry up. I will take my time. You want to see my notes and smell my stinky underwear. I will take my time and put my shoes on. I will not be walking barefoot on your dirty floor.
The food. Once, past security, there were no restaurants, there was nothing, but horrific 10 dollar sandwiches and salads. I've never been to prison, but something tells me that if prison food was at least half as bad as the salad I had, there would be riots in every jail and prison and county holding facility in the country. I understand this is an airport, but the thought of that salad still gives me the chills.
The terminal. I was in the F wing, gates F1-F10, for every 5 passengers, there were about 3.5 seats. I had to steal a seat.
Bathrooms were dirty, and I heard several people complain, yet noone came to clean them.
There is free spotty wi-fi, BUT there are NO places to plug in. Nada, zit, zero.
Never again.

Came here around 11 am on a Sunday morning. It was pretty packed. We got a table right away, and were seated by a very hip looking host. But our table was one of those hi tops and it felt a little cramped. No place to hang a jacket or put my purse.
We ordered food, I got corned beef hash which was 3.5/5. Not bad, but cant really brag about it. French fries were ok, and my friends breakfast burrito was ok too. Nothing to be amazed about, but we were fed.
Service was ok, but not too personable.
I do like the concept, books and breakfast. I will have to revisit this place.
- the tiramisu was amazing.
- the waiters were good
- the food was yummy. the wait was worth it.
- this location takes reservations
- I made a reservation for 7:30 and we were seated at exactly 7:30
the bad
-its crowded. soo crowded that I felt I wanted to get the hell out of there after about five minutes. And I am not claustrophobic. I dont mind stuffy elevators, but this was beyond me. I understand they try to maximize the space, but freeing a little bit of room would be nice. The place looks a bit chaotic with the waiters, people waiting and the people trying to eat.
-they only take cash. I get 2.5% back on all of my purchases.
-there is no actual hostess desk/stand, so people are left standing in the middle of the restaurant. Double the chaos and pushing.
Next time Im getting take out.
The best Pho ever. The noodles are amazing. The peanut sauce was delish. The service was excellent. The prices were affordable. The servings are enormous. Order a small soup, extra large one is about 1/2 gallon of pho.
I love it.

I had the Lamb/rice/salad special, and it was not special at all. It was bland and lacked any taste.
The service is spotty, there were times when I got the food before I could even sit down, other times, I had to wait more then 10 minutes. The tables should be cleaned more often too.
Convenience 5/5
Taste 1/5
Service 2.5/5

The service was good. The food was yummy. The only negative thing I have to say, is that the little music boxes on the tables didnt work. Whats up with that?
