Food is great. Fish Ceviche is WONDERFUL....give it a try even if it scares you a bit. The lime really makes it. Fried shrimp is great. Batter fried tilapia is great (head in tact).

Of course the rice is great. Their signature Mambo Rice is great, but a little dark for my taste - I prefer the cheaper shrimp rice that is served with all combo dishes.

You always receive more food than you could (....or should) eat. They also offer hamburgers and other kid-friendly meal choices.

Only negative is that the music is VERY loud and even when it cuts off the room is very loud with chatter and kitchen noises. It is always packed.

Wings-N-Things

Best wing place in Houston! Waiters are great. Glasses are large. Wings are well done & well covered with sauce. They use Frank's Red Hot - which is the BEST hot sauce around. Does not taste too much like vinegar.

I request my fries are cooked "crispy" and they are just perfect.
I also ask for a small cup of hot sauce so I may dip my fries in ranch & hot sauce....YUM YUM!

Outside looks like a dive, but the food is great. They also have great burgers and other fried food. I've seen the salads and they look nice....but I have never tried one....why would you go somewhere so yummy and eat a salad?
