Italy's Little Kitchen

What it lacked in quality it made up for in customer service. I don't think I've ever been this well-attended at a restaurant. It was a near constant surveillance of our needs, which was appreciated.

Unfortunately, much better Italian food can be found elsewhere. Albeit, not at comparable prices or location. My girlfriend and I had eggplant and veal parmesan respectively and they were only a few shades above a frozen meal in quality. The portions were very big, though. We decided to leave the leftovers with them in the end. Nothing worth salvaging there.

I would actually try this place again. The pasta dishes other people got looked superior to our meals. Maybe we'll have better luck next time.

Ambience looks better from the outside than in, so don't use this place for a first date or a business meeting. However, it's fine for LMU students or locals in dire need of an Italian meal.

Parking was easy on a side street.

Her office is just great. The new location on the 6th floor is beautiful, too. I've come here twice and the hygienists are always very personable.

I was particularly impressed with the technology and cleanliness of the office. Very sophisticated without being overwhelming.

As far as the actual service, though, my teeth never feel cleaner. It's a truly noticeable difference from dentists I've had in the past.

It's as little bit of a drive from my place near Marina del Rey but well worth the extra effort for the service you get.

Found this place through a friend recommendation. I probably would have never tried it otherwise and that would have been a shame. This place should be a solid four stars.

Feeling this was a pretty safe bet, I brought my friend from DC here for dinner and he raved about it. He's a ramen/gyoza connoisseur and he said it was amazing and the gyoza competed with his mom's. We came back another time for lunch before he left. That's how much he loved it.

We were on a business trip in NYC a few weeks later and tried another "reputable" ramen place and all we wanted to do was come back here.

It should also be noted that the staff is really friendly and manages the queue well if there's a wait. At least in my experience.

Plenty has been written about which sausage and beers to try. The fact of the matter is you can't go wrong. Experiment with something new every time you go. So, I'm going to talk a little bit about ambience (also a well-treaded  but particularly relevant to this place).

This place is truly excellent for a group event. My girlfriend and I chose Wurstküche for a birthday party since it has nice long tables and people can come and feed themselves as they like. NO DIFFICULT SPLIT CHECKS!

Parking is also reasonable right after work on the side streets.

My recommendation for a Friday night is to anchor a table end no later than 630pm. By 8/9pm the place is slammed and people are wandering around looking for seats. It also becomes insufferably trendy due to its proximity to Venice Blvd.

There was a reservation marker on the table we sat at for 10pm. I have no idea how to get one of those, but if I ever did another event there I would inquire. Fortunately, we went off bar-hopping afterwards and didn't have to get kicked out.

I'm a transplant from New Hampshire out here so I immediately looked for LAs Boston bar upon arrival. I have not been disappointed. I've been here for a mid-week lunch of Fish and Chips and I've gone a few times to catch a game when it's not on TV out here (hell yeah they've got Sunday Ticket and NESN!).

Any given Sunday you walk into this bar and it's a sea of Brady and Brucchi jersey's.

Anyway, if you're a Boston fan the atmosphere is fantastic on gameday. The older guys are at the bar eating breakfast with beer. The younger guys and girls are milling about at the tables.

Get there about two to three hours before the game if you want a bar seat.

Great place for a quick, walk-in haircut.

As long as you've got a basic male cut, you're safe here. Just don't fret asking for it shorter or whatnot when they ask. They're happy to keep going until you're satisfied.

All three barbers are very pleasant. They talk when you want to talk, they're quiet when you stay quiet. They get the job done and they make sure you're satisfied. They give a nice neck shave, too, leaving you feeling fresh in the back.

I go during the day on a weekday and never have more than a 5-10 minute wait. I appreciate the small wait, though. It means they're good enough for repeat business.

I've never had any issues parking, but I've seen them run, literally run, out onto the street with their own quarters and add it to a customer's meter for them while they're in the chair. That's next-level service.

I ordered the pulled pork on the advice of Yelpers and maybe it's because I just moved from Virginia and we had a lot of great pulled-pork joints, but this was underwhelming. It was mildly flavorful and a touch dry. I don't know, maybe it's the best they've got out here.

Anyway, that's not the downfall of the place. As far as 9-to-5'ers lunch spots go it's nice and airy and serves its purpose well. The real downside  is its location. It just can't be helped. Unless you're working in one of the faceless studio buildings surrounding it, it's completely inconvenient to find it or park at it (I had to settle for the pay lot-maybe there's parking elsewhere. I couldn't tell.). The surrounding area is so empty, there isn't any sign of life until you literally stumble into the place.

Bottom line is, if you work in the buildings in the immediate vicinity you've probably already settled on this place as your spot. Otherwise, keep looking.

Went here for brunch one Saturday morning with a few friends and it was delicious.

It wasn't too hard finding seating even on a busy day. You might have to wait a few minutes, but there seems to be good flow. Some people were confused by the number of registers, but unless you're only going to for coffee/pastries (they have their own queue), any of the registers are good to order from.

When everyone was served: it was one of those meals where you wish you could try what everyone was having. I settled on the pancakes which were stellar. Their latte is great, too.

This place really deserves 3.5 stars, though, because there was some confusion with my food. I ordered first, but was the last to get my food. I think it had something to do with my coffee aligning with my food, but regardless, I waited 10-15 minutes after everyone else was served to get my food. I'm letting it slide, though, because they were good-natured and apologetic about it and, honestly, were quite busy.

Got dinner here this evening and I am a fan. Great for a quick hot Indian meal.

Nice little spot with cafeteria style ordering. The curried meats didn't look super appetizing so I got the Tikka Misala with Aloo Mater and some lentils. Huge portion of garlic naan included with each meal. All of it was delicious.

The Chai Tea (with sugar) is great. Exactly what I was hoping for. Not some weak bag tea, but the real, brewed Indian thing.

Easy street parking when I went around dinner time. Some really dive-y spots on the same block, but the place looked safe in general.

If you're looking for a quick lunch or dinner to go then this is a great place to stop by.

My girlfriend and I had an unfortunate experience here.

A friend of ours highly recommended the breakfast sandwiches and coffee here, so we tried it out. Sandwiches were decent, but slow to come by even when they weren't that busy. The atmosphere is eclectic/hispter-y.  It's a nice, big air-y room.

Anyway, the downfall for this place came via credit card. My girlfriend paid with her Visa. She noticed the cashier was struggling with the card machine. She asked if she got doubled charged and she said no and that she had cancelled it. Great!

Well, next day both charge pop up. My girlfriend called to have it cancelled, but the manager got on the phone. He started interrogating her and questioning whether she really got double charged. It was... the strangest thing I've ever heard.

My girlfriend had to call her bank and have them bounce the transaction. I think that negatively effects the stores standing or something, but they were unmoved. Oh, and how much were we charged double? Six bucks. Yeesh.

Too much of a hassle for mediocre sandwiches. We never returned.
