Question: What to do when you wake up at noon on a Saturday after a party?
Answer: Go out to breakfast!
Thanks to yelp we found Cafe Mossant which is a lovely breakfast place that serves large omelets and never ending coffee until 2:30. The Cafe is open and airy. It had two levels of wall to wall hardwood floors connected by ramps. The chairs were very comfy and each table had a small rug underneath so that the chairs could move easily.
The wait service was very friendly and greeted us with a big Hello! when we came through the door. The menu is simple and strait forward, nothing fancy, just good hearty homemade food. We ordered the mushroom, onion and cheese omelet with avocado as well as french toast. I really liked the french toast, very cinnamony and thick. The hash browns could have had more flavor, but in general everything was good. And it was reasonably priced at about $10/person for a filling breakfast.

This place is crazy good. They make all of their own ice cream and boy is it good! Creamy with the most amazing flavors you have ever had! The reason it is called an ice cream Lab is because they come up with all sorts of unique flavors. Everything from decadent chocolate and caramel to Banana, Wine flavors, even a Guinness flavored on around Saint Patrick's Day! And I must emphasize that their unusual flavors taste exactly like what they are meant to be! Not overly sugary or fake, but real. Also, if you get a group together for an event you can rent out the lab and create your own flavor of ice cream!!!!!
Really though, going here for a scoop of ice cream is just a wonderful treat. They have plenty of seating, they serve you in little glass cups like at old style soda fountains, and there is a delightful toy train that runs around the molding on the ceiling.
In all, this is one of the gems of the SLO area.
