This place gets a solid "Hmm: ok" for brunch.
Good news: no line at noon on a Sunday!
Meh news: They brought us sliced bread, pre-brunch. Whaa? Is this dinner or something?
Meh news: not a ton of options for veggies on the menu, and almost none for vegans. Ok, fine.
Good news: I ordered the french toast special, making sure to clarify that I didn't want the bacon side. The waiter offered a potato substitute instead, and I agreed.
Good news: The food was ready super fast (like, maybe 10 minutes, tops).
Bad news: Our waiter brings me bacon, and no potatoes. Oops. The bacon is quickly swept away. My potatoes come a while later.
Meh news: the food was good, but not amazing. Decent, but not ZOMG MY MOUTH HAST NEVER KNOW YE OLDE PLEASURE LIKE THIS! The much-touted homefries were nothing to write home about. Fine, but not outstanding.
In summary, it's a perfect fine brunch spot. The fact that there was no line and service was fast means I'll probably be back. I won't be running and waving my arms with ecstatic bliss, but I'll be back.

The grass is a bit mucky (remains to be seen if it's just a factor of newness), and I do wish the park was a bit more separated from the alley -- watching a toddler run down the gentle slope of the park right into the alleyway is a a little scary.
That said: IT'S A PARK! Where there used to be cars and asphalt! Even in its humbleness, it is awesome and I am so glad to have it.
