now this is a grocery store! if only i could get the cojita that i can get at the queen soopers here, it would be perfect. perfect i tell you. like the grocery stores back home (how the hell is indiana better than colorado in any way you may ask? well first, indiana sells beer, liquor, and wine in grocery stores and second, the colts, but i digress). you can pretty much get everything here. the organic options are not too great, but most groceries that are not whole foods kind of suck in that area anyway. we drive 4 miles out of our way to go to this store and it's worth it.

i really really wish i could give zero stars  when i was there i noticed large tubs of parmesean cheese that were expired and had mold growing in them. i messed up the shelf and laid them out funny so an employee would have to attend to them. we went back a week later and the same parm tubs with mold were there and placed back up on the shelf. wtf! that's the day we bought cream cheese there and i got sick from eating it. now i get that  i probably should have stopped shopping there as soon as i saw the disgusting cheese, but i didn't.

it's pretty lame that a grocery store doesn't keep stock of it's inventory and keep it's customers safe. also ironic, or is it, i don't understand the rules of using ironic, however, i think alanis could fit something about the safeway not being safe into a catchy phrase.

moral of the story, when everyone you know refers to an establishment as the "unsafeway," maybe you shouldn't shop there.

the more i go here, the more disappointed i am. stick to the salads, the biscuits and gravy, and tomato coconut curry soup because those good. most everything else i've tried is greasy and most of the time the service is really really slow. not sputnik slow, but still. i usually pass unless i'm super craving the biscuits and gravy because those are bomb.

i am a fan, but your vastness, pretty lake, and the fact that you hold a ton of cool shiz including a museum and a zoo cannot knock cheeseman park from the top of my favorite parks list for one reason; goose poop. for reals, that shit (literally) is everywhere. and it's not little. it rival's the size of my dog's poops. so it's not a park for sitting in the grass without protection.

other than that, i think you're tops. and now i live just a few short blocks from you so i can visit often.

kenny is a stand up guy and will always let you know all of your options, even if they don't make him money. i have brought my last two cars here (both clunkers) and he has always let me know what really needed to be done and what could wait or wasn't vital. recently, my car needed more fixes than it's worth so instead of taking my money he advised me that it might not be worth it to spend it on a 14 year old car. he's definitely a person you can trust not to swindle you or talk you into repairs you don't need. golden is a bit of a drive from denver, but it's worth it in my opinion.

i really enjoyed this place. i built my own pizza with a pizza sauce/bbq mix, mushrooms, red onions, and pineapple. i really appreciated the fresh ingredients. the place was lovely as well, even the bathroom was super nice. the people are friendly. i'd definitely come back again.

so Becky S. recommends to drop in at tunnel 1. that might be just fine in the years where we don't get a shit ton of rain. so check the cfs report for the creek at http://waterdata.usgs.....

we went at 220 cfs today and it's not for novices. one of our inner tubes busted over a fall. if you do drop in at tunnel 1, make sure you do NOT got to the left of the split. it takes you over a water fall that will pull you under and give you enough time under said water to think to yourself, well.. i might just die here right now because i can't feel the bottom and i can't reach the top...well, shit fuck. so, ass punching rocks, falls, knees going through a meat grinder of rocks because the current is going too fast to pull yourself onto your tube...

because of all of the above, i recommend not dropping in at tunnel 1 unless it's more like 100 cfs or lower. stick to going in a lions park on high cfs days. also, by tunnel 1 there's a bunch of crap in the water. big boards and who knows what else. i left with a large gash/contusion in my leg and had to get a tetanus shot at the doc in the box.

i just want other people to be aware to check how fast the water is going before going up that far and to be careful and to definitely not go to the left at the first split after tunnel 1.

wowzers!!! the food here is so so good. the crab cakes are perfect, the pistachio encrusted mahi with jalapeno cream sauce and crab meat topping was divine. but the side of mashed potatoes i ordered...those were absolutely Ridiculous. like so good with pieces of sweet corn throughout. oh my god. i just want more right now. and to top off an awesomely delicious meal, the community coffee and strawberry cheesecake was so good. the only thing i wasn't absolutely impressed with was the bread pudding with caramel sauce. i'm really partial to a whiskey or bourbon sauce and this did not taste that great compared to other bread puddings i have had. but overall, i love this place and would eat here once a week if it fit in my budget.

Very satisfied with my experience with these guys (even if it was due to some inconsiderate jerk-face who hit my car and left).  they got me in right away and it took no time at all for them to fix my bent tie rod. They even pointed out that my timing belt was getting pretty worn, but didn't pressure me to get it fixed right away or even to do it with them. the one thing i really appreciated was that they have a motor and other parts in the front office that they can use to help someone like me get what the heck they're talking about.
