CPMC - Physical Therapy & Sports Wellness Center

Wow. I haven't even been able to get in here yet for PT & am thoroughly UN-impressed.

Every time I've called to try & book my appointment so far, I've been on hold for over 15 minutes, then the system sends me to voicemail. Call back again to try to get someone live, same thing.

When I finally did get through the first available appointment was over 2 weeks out. Are you serious? How can people get better & come in twice a week (as recommended by doctor) if they're this overbooked?

My paperwork also hadn't been faxed down from my doctor yet (upstairs), but they did not let me make my appointment without them having the paperwork in their hands first, which they should have been able to call upstairs for. The folks down here should be familiar with the doctor's who are literally in the same building as them & be able to collect the appropriate paperwork on behalf of patients.

I'm not looking forward to my 1st session after this, and will definitely be looking into other places I can go for PT unless the session blows me away.

I love so many other things about CPMC (all my doctor's are here), so am disappointed this has been my experience with the PT center so far...

Two words: Caryn. Cohen. She is amaze. If you have long hair (whether straight, curly, thick, thin, or anything in between) she will make you look like you should be a hair model. Seriously - she's that good. I can honestly say I've never had a better haircut in SF. & I've had lots...at many different high-end salons...with many different hairstylists.

She's very interactive when she works, meaning - you sit, you stand, you flip your hair back & forth, etc., which I very much appreciate because she takes her time to make sure your cut looks good & falls right from every angle. She's also very diligent & cuts your hair wet, and then again dry - so all your layers turn out amazing.

Plus: she's super funny & friendly. One of the most fun parts of going to get your hair done is to have some good conversation! & with Caryn, you definitely do. She's hilarious.

I have recommended her to multiple of my girlfriends (who all go to her now!). She's only at Secret Agent Salon, so you have to go there to see her. Parking can be a bit of a pain in this area (lower Pac Heights), but trust me - it's worth it. All in all: she rocks. :)

Service: 3 stars. Below average the night we were there, unfortunately.

Food: 4 stars. Cheese & cured meats selection - Yummy. Fennel-spiced sausage pasta - Awesome. Hazelnut gelato cream puff: Gelato portion: Wow, Pastry shell - stale-ish (only not great thing we ate there that night).

Drinks: 5 stars. WINES ON TAP. Need I say more? ;) Almost fully made up for slow service...

I'm taking an average & giving this place 4 stars. For the wine experience & 99% of the food, I'd definitely go again.

LOVE this place!

Good music, fun atmosphere, pretty decent dancefloor, good spot to come with your girlfriends for a night out on the town.

Only thing that sucks is it is sooooooo hot in here! Very poor ventilation, so wear very breathable, or very little, clothing.

I wouldn't pay 10 bucks to get in, so try to get on a list or something, but a really fun place overall!

Like the steps/raised dancefloor, like the fact that it's 2 rooms w/different types of music playing in each, like that it's got a mixture of different kinds of people (which is a nice change from the typical Marina scene).

Sometimes hard to get cabs back to the Marina (home) afterwards, but well worth it for a night of fun! :) (*Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5.)

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAMERA TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!! IT IS SERIOUSLY AWFUL!!! First off, they LOST my camera. I dropped it off, never heard back from anyone about the status of it getting fixed for WEEKS, than called back to find out what was wrong with it, only to find out that they had misplaced it. Finally, the guy there finds it in a box that it wasn't supposed to be in in the first place, hence me never receiving a call back on the status of it getting fixed. For him to only tell me that the battery is now dead since it's been sitting in his shop for weeks & he needs to re-charge it before he can figure out what's wrong with it and fix it. So let me get this straight, Mister, you never even attempt to fix my camera, put it in a box it doesn't belong in, lose it, find it again, realize you've made it go dead so you have to charge it back up before you can even call me back, charge it up to realize that you've had it for weeks and NEVER EVEN FIXED it and then proceed to yell at ME over the phone for giving you attitude??! W.O.W. You deserve the attitude, bud! You've had my camera for over a month now, lost it, found it, but never fixed it & are now yelling at me because I'm giving you attitude?! You most definitely deserve this attitude! HORRIBLE customer service. HORRIBLE businessman. I am going there today, taking my camera out of that place, and dropping it off somewhere else to get fixed. I would never recommend anyone go here.

I looooooooooooooove this place!

Not only do they make the best and biggest sandwiches and wraps, but the people here genuinely like knowing who you are - they remember your name, what's going on in your life, as well as your order.  How awesome is that?!

Overall experience: A nice little chit chat with the owners (John and Mike) & sometimes a "surprise" in a red take away cup, right along with your sando. ;) Outstanding.

They also have a good selection of wine, so it's a great stop before a picnic on a party.

They also make amaze breakfast sandos with tomato, lox, avocado, bacon, sausage, cheese...you name it, they can put it on it. I highly recommend this place all-around!!! :)

This place was pretty cool inside..once you realized it was even there!  From the outside, with the fogged over windows, you literally walk right by this place and don't even know it's there.  We chose this place for a girl's weeknight happy hour, arrived at about 6pm, and the place was deserted...we didn't even think it was open, until we walked in and asked.  But, once inside it's large, open and airy...two rooms, one side restaurant, other side couches/lounge-y, the staff was nice (maybe because we were the only people in there at this point, no joke), the drinks were AWEsome and the apps weren't bad either.  The cucumber martini is REally good!  I've had a lot of bad ones...too sweet, too sour...this one was juuuuust right...  The also have a famous drink created by the bartender there which incorporates fernet into some sort of mojito like mixed drink...sounds disgusting, I know...but the combo of everything is actually quite nice.  This was probably the first time I was able to drink fernet without puking afterwards, lol.  It seems like on busier nights they have dj's and dancing here, not sure what that's like since it is on Broadway.  But our HH experience here was very good overall, so I def think I'd come back for a full on dinner and maybe even a late night dance party with friends.  Once they figure out how to make it look like they're actually open from the outside as well I think this could be a cool little spot!  ;)

Superb food!  Went for my b-day.  Spare ribs are great, meat falls right off the bone.  Pretty large portions.  Awesome dessert, which was drizzled in chocolate spelling out my name all around the edges of the dish, amazing touch.  And then you can hop over to the uber-chic Redwood Room (which I would only give 4 stars to due to lack of seating and space) for drinks and trip out over the eyes of the paintings that follow you around...lol.

Absolutely loved it here!  Great layout, open and airy, with great exposed brick and little lounge-y couch sections along the edges.  Girl behind the bar is a sommelier and knows her shit.  I told her what I liked and she recommended a great wine for me.  Cool ambiance, friendly/knowledgeable staff and awesome food and wine.  I went on a first date here, great spot for one!, or happy hour with friends after work.

LOVED the food here!  Fab!  Good portions, good flavor, good everything!  Went here on a date and it was probably the best date ever!  Dinner crowd is kinda older, somewhat stuffy, but the food is amazing!  Also like the late night weekend scene here.  Fun atmosphere, good-looking people, good music...  I would come back again for either a nice dinner or a night out on the town.  Love it, all around.
