Stumbled upon the Inventing Room at the September Justice League of Street Food. Caramel ice cream with sea salt and peanut butter pop rocks?!? Who thinks up this stuff? Because they are my new crush. Loved it. Wish I was local so I could try out some of the other cool stuff they had on the menu!

Stopped here one lunch one afternoon, since I was tired of Riverfront Pizza at Riverwalk. To my surprise, the pizza was pretty good - nice, stiff crunchy crust and not overly greasy.

Definitely an easy spot to pick up a slice if you're out drinking or want to grab a quick bite if you work in the area.

Don't expect more than what is advertised though. The interior is cramped. it's more like a tiny bar than a restaurant. Not gourmet pizza.

This location reminds me of my favorite gym back in Austin (24hr Fitness on William Cannon). It gets kind of packed around 6pm on work days, but that's to be expected. As of late, many people doing free weights have started to encroach on the walkway area, making it difficult to reach the locker rooms, so be careful unless you want a dumbbell to the face.

The gym is super clean, though, and the cardio machines are maintained well (I've seen them bring in repair people often enough to check whenever one goes down).

The staff are pretty nice - there's a high turn over for trainers, though. They seem to transfer them around, but there's a solid four or five that have been there since I started coming here in early 2009.

I just wish the ceilings were lofted upstairs - the low ceilings with sub-par a/c makes the air feel pretty stale.

I can only review this dealership from how it appears ... I drove in twice this week because I wanted to take a good look at the 2011 Scion xB, but both times (Thursday afternoon and Saturday) there were OVER TEN SALESMEN STANDING AROUND IN GROUPS OUT FRONT OF THE STORE. As a woman, this was extremely intimidating. They looked like a school of sharks. I refused to get out of my car. When I brought my father back on Saturday, there were even more salesmen (I'm going to upload some of the photos to this page in a bit ...). I counted at least 15!

This must be something mandated by management, because it's hard to believe they were out there in the heat both days on their own accord.

Finally got a chance to check out Buena Vista Bistro for lunch today. Great wine selection and a good mix of entrees and appetizers. I had the Bolognese, which was a large serving size and quite yummy. My friend had fries (SO GOOD!) and a green salad that she loves. They put pesto in the dressing and it was very flavorful, she said.

Looking forward to trying out brunch, though. The photos of it on here look great!

This location has only been open a month. I drive by it at least two times a day, trekking between home and work and thought I was well over due to get my lip waxed. I usually take care of it at home with my own professional hot wax heater, but it broke so I thought I would give it a try.

I stopped in on a Wednesday afternoon to find the place deserted, but open. The hostess was very friendly and kind. I filled out a starter questionnaire and was offered chilled water. The lady who did my waxing didn't have eyebrows herself (they were penciled in), but she did a thorough and excellent job. She was very friendly and easy to talk to.

The premises were very clean and professional. The waiting area had chilled water and a nice homemade soap display (smelled GREAT) and there were at least three private rooms for the waxing. Inside the rooms, you were instructed to lax on a massage table, covered in a soft sheet and encouraged to close your eyes and rest. After the waxing was done, and the lavender oil applied, I was very relaxed. I didn't want to leave.

The first time you go in, you get 15% off and they have a frequent user program. I will definitely come here again.

A full list of prices and services are listed on their website. Since I haven't been getting hair removal done professionally, I can't really gauge their prices. I think they're fair though.

I tried this Publix after being quite disappointed with the one closer to me (6876 Collins Ave.). I'll definitely be using this as my regular Publix now that I've tried it out.

Easy parking. It's part lot, part garage (on the first floor only). After parking, you can either take the elevator, stairs or a "people mover" (a flat escalator) up to the store. The carts are outside, to the right of the elevator.

The aisles are a bit tight, but over all well organized and very clean. The staff are very helpful and nice and they seem to like their job. The women's bathroom was very tidy, too. Exiting with a cart, you have to take the elevator down to the ground level. Don't worry, three carts fit at once.

At this location, shopping *isn't* a pleasure. I've only been here once, so far. I don't plan on returning (although I'm sure I will break down and do so as this is the closest Publix to my new apartment).

This is an older store, so the isles are extremely tight and there are just too many people in each isle to navigate without running over someones foot with your shopping cart.

As far as parking, it seemed to be hit or miss. There is a decent size lot, given it's location on Collins. You're easily able to find a spot, but you might have to walk a bit. And good luck reversing out without almost hitting a passerby.

The staff was very friendly though, so that's what's redeeming a star.
