Good food.

Be careful - The chili cheese fries are monstrous!  My boyfriend unknowingly ordered them as a side for himself and felt obliged to eat them all.

I love the dinner combos. The simple house salad is perfect.

My boyfriend and I were very excited about this place as we watched it being renovated before it opened. It's very sad that I'm giving it 2 stars because it has the potential to be AMAZING.  However, the customer service is beyond ridiculous in a very bad way.

Every time I visit something goes wrong. Usually the baristas are sitting with their friends laughing and the customers go ignored, other times there's no smile no politeness no soul.  

I actually sent a friend from out of town to Sipology the other day.  I know for a fact that she only had two five-dollar bills in her wallet (I had given them to her as change when we split a bill the night before.)  She claims that she paid for her food and coffee with the two fives and got incorrect change (For $6 instead of $10.) When she brought this to the attention of the cashier, the cashier gave her major attitude and refused to give her the few dollars she was owed.

The gallery is a cool touch though. I used to browse it while I waited for my coffee.

Love this place. The staff has always been positive and the food is delish.  My order always comes out quick and correct (I almost always have some sort of custom order.)  

Much better than any other Mexican food available in downtown!

I wish they were open later, but it's my fault for taking a damn night class.

Up Lounge is the only place in Long Beach spinning electronic music.

Love love love this place!  Staff is amazing and every time I go there's something new on the menu. It's great that the chef is always working on new dishes and mixing it up! It's fun to watch everyone dance on the weekends, too.  This is my favorite spot in Long Beach.

Young and pleasant staff. Very clean and organized. They know what they are doing, and they do it well. Massage, facial, and hand/foot treatment for just over $120 -- amazing.

Berry cider is delicious - a little watered down though! Food was okay. The chicago style pizza wasn't up to par, but that's coming from an East Coaster.

The restaurant itself is odd. Not a bar/brewery setup at all. It's just a small place on 2nd.

I only visit TJ's for Taco Tuesday's. $1 tacos and drink specials. The menu isn't too big and for picky eaters there's really not many options.

Smallest and most unimpressive aquarium I've ever been to -- and I got in for free!  The regular admission price is extremely high, especially for what they offer. I went with 5 people and we ALL felt like we were the victims of some ridiculous joke. Save your money, seriously.

I visited the Village Tasting Room during a gallery opening to support a friend who has/had art on the walls.  I arrived before my party so I sat at the bar to order a glass of wine for myself. The ladies running the place both decided to ignore me. As a server and bartender myself, I thought maybe they were busy. It was pretty empty but I was giving them the benefit of the doubt. Five minutes later, I've tried to grab their attention by saying hi, which only received side-ways glances and a mumble. There were a couple women sitting at the counter a few seats from me and they apparently knew one of the 'bartenders.' They were served TWO times while I sat there plus the bartender was talking to them between walking back and forth to the register for who knows what. After ten minutes I was getting pissed and I wasn't about to let this woman win. I look young, but she could have asked for my ID instead of ignoring me. Or was it just a power trip? Anyway, instead of trying my hellos for the fourth time I let out a stern "excuuuuuse mee!" "Yea?" was her answer. "Can I please get a glass of wine?!" "Oh, we closed at [time]." She then looks at her watch and realizes it is well before said time. Her response? "Oh, well I guess, whatever." And then she just stares at me. If you thought you were closed why did you let me in? And why were you serving the ladies down the bar? I get my wine and an unfriendly request for payment. Meanwhile, my artist friend and his friend sit next to me. She puts down my payment and smiles and is suddenly friendly while she asks what they want. A bunch of beers for them and their friends plus a payment that she takes right away.

Not sure why I didn't just take my wine and money I had put on the bar for it and walk away.

I really wanted to like this place. In fact, I was excited to have been told about it. Too bad those women (I think one was an owner?) were so rude. Not only will I not be back, but my wine loving friends and wine bar manager boyfriend will definitely stay away as well.

Get over yourselves.
